Honour Killing: Brother of Pakistan's murdered celebrity admits he killed her because she refused to desist from posting provocative photo on Facebook

The brother of a murdered Pakistani celebrity said he killed her after she refused to stop posting provocative photos and videos on Facebook.
Muhammad Waseem said he was 'not embarrassed' to have killed Qandeel Baloch's despite the death leading to calls for action against the 'epidemic' of honour killings
The strangling of Miss Baloch, 26, a controversial figure in deeply conservative Muslim Pakistan for posting selfies and videos that would appear tame by Western standards, has prompted a wave of shock and revulsion.
Her brother was arrested late Saturday, Multan City police chief Azhar Akram said, and confessed to drugging then strangling her 'for honour'.
'Yes of course, I strangled her,' Waseem said at a press conference, organised by police, early Sunday.
'She was on the ground floor while our parents were asleep on the roof top,' he continued.
'It was around 10.45 pm when I gave her a tablet... and then killed her.'
Waseem said he acted alone.
He added: 'I am not embarrassed at all over what I did. Whatever was the case, it (his sister's behaviour) was completely intolerable.'
Miss Baloch, believed to be in her twenties and whose real name was Fauzia Azeem, rose to fame for her Facebook posts that saw her praised by some for breaking social taboos but condemned by conservatives.
She was killed on Friday night at her family's home near Multan.
Up to 100 officers were gathered outside her family's home in Muzzafarabad, preventing neighbours from gathering. Five ambulances were also parked nearby.
The model shared hundreds of videos of her dancing in minimal clothing with her 123,000 Instagram followers.
Waseem went on the run and was arrested late Saturday in neighbouring Muzaffargarh district.
Hundreds of women are murdered for 'honour' every year in Pakistan.
The killers overwhelmingly walk free because of a law that allows the family of the victim to forgive the murderer - who is often also a relative.
Filmmaker Sharmeemn Obaid-Chinoy, whose documentary on honour killings won an Oscar earlier this year, slammed Miss Baloch's murder as symptomatic of an 'epidemic' of violence against women in Pakistan.
She joined other liberals in Pakistan who called for anti-honour killing legislation. 'Activists have screamed themselves hoarse,' she said. 'When will it stop?'
But many conservatives pushed back, with some arguing online that her family would have had 'no choice'.
The pictures showed Miss Baloch wearing her traditional lamb's wool cap as she posed next to the cleric. Qavi later said she had asked him for a meeting and they met in a hotel.
On Valentine's Day, she donned a plunging scarlet dress and posted a video message defying the country's president, who had issued a stern warning against the 'Western' celebration. The post garnered more than 70,000 'likes'.
Speaking at the time, she said: 'People are going crazy - especially girls. I get so many calls where they tell me I'm their inspiration and they want to be like me.'
She had reportedly spoken of leaving the country after Eid out of fear for her safety.

Malaysia Airlines to settle MH17 victim’s families $145,000 each

Malaysia Airlines has struck a deal to settle damages claims to most of the victims of the doomed MH17 flight, which was shot down over eastern Ukraine two years ago.
Veeru Mewa, a lawyer representing Dutch victims, said under the Montreal Convention airlines must pay damages of up to about €130,000 ($145,000) to victims' families regardless of the circumstances of a crash.
The Boeing 777, carrying mainly Dutch passengers, was shot down by pro-Russia separatists en route to Kuala Lumpur from Amsterdam, killing all 298 on board.
The Malaysia Airlines passenger jet was hit by a surface-to-air missile on July 17, 2014 over eastern Ukraine, during heavy fighting between Kiev's armed forces and pro-Russian separatists.
Two thirds of the passengers were Dutch, but a group of 10 Britons died onboard including Newcastle fans Liam Sweeney, 28, and John Alder, who were travelling to New Zealand to watch their team take part in a pre-season friendly match.
An international inquiry concluded last October that the plane was downed by a Russian-made BUK missile fired from a zone held by pro-Russian separatists, but stopped short of saying who was responsible.
Initial findings of a Dutch-led criminal inquiry are expected to be presented later this summer.
It was the second anniversary of the tragedy on Sunday, and vigil's around the world allowed families and friends to pay homage to their loved ones.
Mariam Yusof, wife of the flight's pilot Captain Wan Amran Wan Hussin, visited Sepang outside Kuala Lumpur with her children for a private MH17 remembrance ceremony.
Around 60 people gathered at the crash site in the village of Petropavlivka, carrying flowers and lighting candles at the square where some of the victims' remains and belongings fell to the ground.
Some youngsters from the village - still controlled by pro-Russian separatists fighting pro-Western government forces - also carried paper planes in memory of children killed in the downing of the jet.
Village council head Natalia Voloshina, said: 'Some of the relatives of people who were killed phoned us and asked us to find things that were valuable for them, for example, the toys that belonged to children aboard.'
Some small pieces of wreckage, not yet handed over to Dutch investigators, were stacked outside Voloshina's office to mark the anniversary.

Leicester City new signing Ahmed Musa compare himself to Jamie Vardy... 'I have speed, I like to work hard'

Leicester fans will be delighted to hear that they will have two Jamie Vardys at the club next season after Ahmed Musa insisted he is just like the England star.
Claudio Ranieri bolstered his squad following their surprising Premier League triumph by forking out a club record fee of £18million on Musa from CSKA Moscow.
The 23-year-old Nigerian is not a player that most Foxes supporters will be familiar with but they should not worry as he claims he is fast and a hard worker like Vardy.
'I think I am like Jamie Vardy,' insists Musa. 'I have speed, I like to work hard, we are similar in lots of things.
'Am I faster? I can't say yet, I have never played with him, but I am looking forward to finding out. I'm looking forward to playing with Vardy. I like his style. I think we can fit well together.'
The former CSKA man has been surprised by the speed of Leicester's training sessions since joining up with his new team-mates but is looking forward to adding a new dimension to the champions.
He added: 'When I started my first session I was thinking, "wow".
'I have never seen that in Russia but now I am getting used to it. The intensity here is quite different to Russia. Here it is a little bit harder, in Russia they are more laid back.
'I think that is the most difficult thing, but I think that is the secret behind Leicester's success.'
Musa is one of four summer signings as Ranieiri has also brought in Nampalys Mendy, Ron-Robert Zieler and Luis Hernandez.
N'Golo Kante's move to Chelsea was confirmed on Saturday following months of speculation.

Justin Bieber tells fans to stop throwing gifts onstage...'I don't want that s**t!'

Justin Bieber is asking his fans to stop throwing gift onstage during his "Purpose World Tour". During a show at Boardwalk Hall Arena in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Friday night, July 15, Justin was speaking to the concertgoers when a fan tried to throw something onstage. "Take this moment to listen and try not to give me a hat or whatever you're trying to throw onto the stage right now, because I probably don't want that s**t," Justin said before receiving a huge round of applause. "Sorry that was mean," the "What Do You Mean" hitmaker added, "But yeah, now I lost what I was going to say. I was deep into, like, a mode and a zone. I was into it. Now I'm out of it. I'll get it back. Just give me a second."
After gathering his thoughts, Justin told the crowd, "I just wanted to take this moment to acknowledge the fact that we all have a purpose, that we all have a meaning to life and it's not, like, we just don't live to die. And this life is not all struggles. I know that sometimes when we wake up in the morning, and it's like 'God another day.' "
The 22-year-old singer apologized again before continuing his concert with a new song. "Sorry for throwing your hat but you ruined the moment," he said, "Whatever, let's do it."

Selena Gomez throw shade at Kim Kardashian following 'Famous' drama with Taylor Swift

Selena Gomez is still on team Taylor Swift following the drama over Kanye West's "Famous" lyrics. After the rapper's wife Kim Kardashian proved her husband's innocence by leaking his and the 26-year-old singer's phone conversation, the former Disney darling took to Twitter on Sunday, July 17 to seemingly defend her BFF.

"There are more important things to talk about... Why can't people use their voice for something that f**king matters?" she tweeted. "Truth is last thing we need right now is hate, in any form. This industry is so disappointing yet the most influential smh."

Swift had several times denied she approved the controversial lyrics about her on West's "Famous" before Kardashian posted earlier on Sunday a string of Snapchat clips showing her husband and the former country diva discussing the track over the phone. In the clips, taken before the song was debuted earlier this year, West told her he called and asked for her approval because he considered her his friend and he didn't want to "do rap that makes people feel bad." At the time, Swift replied, "I really appreciate you telling me about it, that's really nice!"

The "Shake It Off" hitmaker has responded to the Snapchat videos, insisting in a statement posted on Instagram that she never approved the song and that West never really let her hear it before it's released. "Being falsely painted as a liar when I was never given the full story or played any part of the song is character assassination," she wrote. "I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of, since 2009."

Rio Olympic: Athletes, Officials and Fans could spread Zika virus disease- British expert has warned

Dr Sam Allen, an expert on infectious diseases, has warned all visitors to Rio could be in danger of contracting it.
A string of athletes - including golfer Rory McIlroy and tennis ace Milos Raonic - have pulled out of the Games due to the mosquito-borne virus.
It can cause birth defects in babies, including tots being born with tiny heads.
Dr Allen, 49, said: “The worry is that with the Rio Olympics less than a month away many athletes and travelling fans could be exposed and might carry this disease to other parts of the world.
“We are now seeing an unusually high number of babies being born with small heads in this region.
“It is now recognised as a serious complication of the Zika virus disease.
“And it is also reported that it can be transmitted from a carrier to a partner through sex.”
The first female-to-male transmission of the disease through unprotected sex was seen in the US last week. A woman in her 20s who returned home from a Zika-hit area infected her partner.
More than 1,600 cases have been confirmed in Brazil and it has spread to Central America and the Caribbean. There is no known cure for Zika, which has affected thousands of mums and babies in South America.
Tennis stars Simona Halep and Raonic are the latest to drop out of Rio 2016. Official advice from the World Health Organisation states Olympic fans should practise safe sex and use strong insect repellent.
Dr Allen, joined a team of medics on a 1200-mile expedition across South America, which has seen more than 35,000 cases of Zika, earlier this month.
A consultant in infectious diseases at Kilmarnock Crosshouse Hospital, he says knowledge gained over the past two years in tackling the Ebola virus may now help to develop a cure for the Zika.
His group was catching mosquitoes and assessing mothers and children in the run-up to the Games which start on August 5.
Researchers at the University of Sao Paulo claim the Olympics would result in no more than 16 additional cases of the disease.
But the World Health Organisation (WHO) declared Zika’s renewed spread a global health emergency when it started becoming clear that the mosquito-borne virus was causing severe birth defects last November.
It has now reached 39 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean and is also spreading in south east Asia and the Pacific.
More than 200 scientists asked for the Games to be moved or postponed over Zika last month.
In an open letter to WHO, the scientists argued new scientific findings made it “unethical” for the Games to go ahead.
But Olympic chiefs stressed the risk of catching the virus in August remains low.

Game of Thrones: The look of Mountain without his Helmet

The Mountain always uses his helmet since his return in "Game of Thrones" season 5, but his bloodshot eyes and the dead-looking flesh around them hint that his face is scary. In the season 6 finale, he took off his helmet when he tortured Septa Unella (Hannah Waddingham), but his face wasn't seen with the dark lighting in the brief scene.

Now, we finally get a clear look at the Mountain a.k.a. Gregor Clegane's zombified face. Actor Hafthor J. Bjornsson took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes photo of himself in his character makeup without his helmet, kissing his ladyfriend.
A photo posted by Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson (@thorbjornsson) on
The Mountain was poisoned by Oberyn Martell's (Pedro Pascal) sword during trial by combat in season 4. Cersei (Lena Headey) then gave her consent to Qyburn (Anton Lesser) to perform a series of experiments to save his life, with the consequence of transforming him into something else.

Kim Kardashian appeared to be wearing nothing more than her underwear as she grabs lunch

The KUWTK star oozed sex appeal when she headed out to lunch in Los Angles wearing a low-cut lace trimmed 'dress'.
The 35-year-old beauty showed off plenty of cleavage in the skimpy outfit, that looked barely more than a revealing baby doll nightie.
Kim flashed her toned legs in the daringly short dress as she filmed the latests scenes for the E! reality series.
The gorgeous star didn't seem at all bothered by the attention as she hid behind a pair of dark sunglasses.
It comes as Kim fired back at claims that she was photoshopped in Fergie's latest music video.
Taking to SnapChat, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians beauty appeared to try and prove her curves were all real in the video, after she was accused of photoshopping her waist to make it appear smaller.

Nice Terror Attack: Family of young man arrested claim he's a VICTIM not a terrorist

This is one of the men arrested today in connection with the Nice terror attack.
Ramzie Arefa, 22, was held when police stormed his family home near the city’s train station.
His family insist he has no links to killer Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel and are mystified by his arrest.
They said he was at the scene of the attack with his older brother and friends to watch the Bastille Day fireworks.
Sister Bilet, 17, said: “It’s crazy. He was among the victims on the promenade on Thursday night.
“He was there with my older brother and his friends. He was not near the lorry but when he saw people running he ran away too.
“He arrived back at our apartment later that evening. He had no idea that there was going to be a terrorist attack.
“He returned here and said he was shocked by it.
“My brother is not a terrorist. We are Muslim but he is not religious. He drinks, smokes and goes out.”
Items of furniture were overturned and clothes strewn across the floor following the police search.
The family’s front door was smashed and shotgun cartridges littered the hallway.
Ramzie’s mother, who did not want to be named, said: “The police arrived this morning at 6am.
“We were asleep, They fired at the door opposite and then fired at our door. My son is innocent, I have all the proof that he is innocent.
“The police turned our home upside down. They took all our phones.
“My son does not know the terrorist who did this. They handcuffed him and took him away.”
Asked why the police arrested her son, she said: “We are Tunisian.
“He is normal. He goes out with his friends to cafes and restaurants.”

Showing the beauty sitting on the side of a bed brushing her hair, Mel's gorgeous figure is in full view as she gets ready for the day clad in only lingerie.
She captioned the pic: "Me at silly o'clock this morning getting ready for the shoot with @samhemsley we love to collaborate on really beautiful pics. She is sooo bloody talented"
Only yesterday posed in a skimpy leopard-print bikini, the 45-year-old showed off her rock-hard abs and trim figure while balancing precariously on one leg.

Kris Jenner may be planning a name change back to KARDASHIAN

She hasn't been a Kardashian since she married Bruce Jenner in 1991, but mother-of-six Kris Jenner has been toying with the idea of changing her name back after her divorce.
Kris was seen talking to Khloe about the idea on Keeping Up With The Kardashians in May, where she claimed that she was ready to make the switch, especially as Bruce is now Caitlyn.
Kris' idea caused outrage among Kardashian fans and concerns for her two daughter – Kendall and Kylie Jenner – and how they would be affected if she dismissed the surname.
Now it would seem that Kris has had a change of heart – either that or it was all for entertainment purposes – as she spoke on the Kylie and Jackie O show to reveal that she wasn't concerned with a name change anymore.
“I think that out of respect for Kendall and Kylie, and it happens to be two younger girls who have an amazing dad and yeah, I think I'm just going to stay right where I am,” she said.
“It sounded like a good idea for a minute. You have to just respect the relationship of the entire family and I'm too busy these days to worry about what my last name is.”

Setting Critics Straight: Kim Kardashian shares behind-the-scenes pictures for MILF video

She was accused of setting an unrealistic example for women with an 'edited' figure for Fergie's MILF$ video, but now Kim Kardashian has set her critics straight with behind-the-scenes pictures.
The mother-of-two posted the photo on to her website, admitting that squeezing into the tiny demin shorts and top required a big team.
"Squeezing into this look was a full team effort! LOL," Kim admitted. "We had to put in work!"
"Working on the 'M.I.L.F. $' video with Fergie and all the other amazing women — Chrissy[Teigen], Ciara, Alessandra Ambrosio, Tara Lynn, Gemma Ward,Amber Valletta, Angela Lindvall, Natasha Poly, Isabeli Fontana and Devon Aoki — was so much fun!" the 35-year-old gushed.
Earlier this month, Kim hit back hit back at claims she was photoshopped in Fergie's video for MILF$, sharing behind the scene videos from the sexy shoot.
Kim looked phenomenal in the video and as well as getting a milk shower, rocked a skin-tight t-shirt and hot pants while sipping on a glass.
Taking to SnapChat, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians beauty appeared to try and prove her curves were all real in the video, after she was accused of photoshopping her waist to make it appear smaller.
Posting a beind the scene video which showed her shooting her section of the song, the camera trails up and down Kimmie's body before switching to show who was behind the camera - husband Kanye West.
The video is captioned "F***YoPhotoShop #CorsetLife" which appears to imply Kim was wearing a corset to achieve the synched in waist rather than getting the images doctored.
The allegations of photoshop, come just days after Kimmie was accused of wearing buttpads.

Adam Johnson puts his mansion up for sale for £1.8 million as he serves a six-year prison term

Disgraced footballer Adam Johnson has put his mansion up for sale as he serves a six-year prison term.
The ex-Sunderland winger was jailed in March after he was found guilty of engaging in sexual activity with a 15-year-old schoolgirl.
Johnson, 29, had earlier admitted kissing the underage girl in his parked up Range Rover in 2015 and grooming the schoolgirl, the Chronicle Live reported .
He was cleared of another count of sexual activity with a child.
Earlier this week a judge threw out the former Black Cat’s star’s application to appeal against his conviction, though his lawyers have said they plan to renew the application.
Johnson lived at the Castle Eden mansion, in County Durham, with his girlfriend Stacey Flounders and their baby daughter.
Miss Flounders stood by Johnson during his court proceedings but told Bradford Crown Court the pair had split and were just friends.
She was reported to have moved out of the home in the weeks after Johnson started his sentence at Moorland Prison in South Yorkshire.
Johnson bought the five-bedroom home in 2012 for £1,575,000 and will make a tidy £320,000 profit on the house if he manages to sell the house at the asking price of £1,895,000.
The “dream home” boasts a gym, putting green and personalised cinema room and sits in 2.2 acres of land with security fencing and gates.

Kylie Jenner slams pregnancy rumours by letting her tiny waist do the talking in curve-hugging bodycon dress

Kylie Jenner let her incredible curves do the talking for her on Thursday.
As she stepped out in New York, the Keeping Up With The Kardashian star revealed a tiny waist in a fitted bodycon dress – just hours before she took to Twitter to slam pregnancy rumours.
The 18-year-old – who recently rekindled her romance with on-off boyfriend Tyga – looked incredible in the curve-hugging ensemble, which she topped off with a pair of silver heels.
Despite the tightly fitting dress, the teen was forced to rubbish claims that she was pregnant on Twitter.

"Omg. No I'm not pregnant. It's been the same rumor for years & no baby... So (sic)," she wrote, in a series of tweets which have since been deleted.
"When I decide to go to that next stage in my life.. I'll be the first to let you know... Not a weekly blog," added the star.
In addition to the incredibly flattering dress, Kylie debuted her new hairdo after she'd chopped off her long locks for a blunt bob.
