Madonna is named Billboard's 2016 Woman of the Year

Madonna is Billboard's Woman of the Year. She will be feted at the 11th annual Billboard Women in Music event on December 9 in New York City. She follows in the footsteps of Beyonce Knowles, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry and Lady GaGa.

According to Billboard, Madge has extended her record as the highest-grossing female touring artist of all time with her Rebel Heart world tour. The Material Girl has reportedly sold more than 1 million tickets and pocketed an estimated $170 million.

"Madonna is one of a miniscule number of super-artists whose influence and career transcend music," said Janice Min, president and chief creative officer of The Hollywood Reporter-Billboard Media Group. "With her creative vision, relentless innovation, and dedication to philanthropic causes, she is an inspiration to hundreds of millions of people around the world, all while shattering every career record out there. She is an important feminist on top of that, a one-of-a-kind artist who's used her influence to change the conversation around women, sexuality and equal rights."

Taylor Swift is planning on freezing her eggs following a string of failed relationships

Taylor Swift is widely known as a serial dater, but she is already thinking about having children. Life & Style claims that the 26-year-old singer is now considering freezing her eggs as she's afraid she won't be able to get pregnant naturally.

"After a string of failed relationships, Taylor's told friends she's looking into freezing her eggs," a source tells the publication. Swift's pals have reportedly "told her to chill out" and reminded her that "she has plenty of time to have children naturally," but she's pretty adamant about having her eggs frozen.

"By freezing her eggs, she feels like she can relax about finding the right man, and stop jumping from relationship to relationship," the source argues.

However, Gossip Cop has debunked the story, saying they have checked in with another insider who can confirm that the claims are simply "not true." The site additionally points out that this isn't their first time to have shot down a Life & Style report about Swift.
