Brazil 2014 World Cup: Lionel Messi Golden ball award a marketing strategy- Diego Maradona

Argentina legend Diego Maradona has hit out at FIFA's decision to award the Golden Ball accolade for the best player of the World Cup to Lionel Messi.
Messi, who missed a good chance as Argentina lost 1-0 to Germany in the final, was presented with the award after the match.
The selection put him ahead of players such as Colombia's James Rodriguez, Germany's Thomas Muller and the Netherlands' Arjen Robben.
But Maradona said that despite four goals in Argentina's seven matches, Messi had not been the player of the tournament and his selection as Golden Ball winner was "a marketing plan."
"Messi? I would give him heaven if possible," the 1986 World Cup winner told pan-Latin American TV channel Telesur.
"But it's not right when someone wins something that he shouldn't have won just because of some marketing plan."
Messi said the award "means very little to me at this moment" and added: "It is a pity not to go home with the cup, but we go home with our heads high. We can return calm from this World Cup.
"It's very painful to lose the way we did, because we were near penalties.
"We had three clear chances -- mine, Gonzalo Higuain's and Rodrigo Palacio's -- but we couldn't get it. Now we have to move forward."
FIFA president Sepp Blatter said he didn't expect Messi to receive the award.
"What do you want -- shall I tell the truth or be diplomatic?" Blatter said. "I am going to say the truth, I was surprised that he was chosen and [surprised] to see him come up to get the award."

Return of the King: As Chelsea open discussions to bring Didier Drogba back to Stamford Bridge as a second choice striker and coach

Chelsea have opened discussions about bringing Didier Drogba back to Stamford Bridge.
Jose Mourinho wants to sign the 36-year-old as a second striker and will give him coaching responsibilities to develop his role at the club.
Drogba is an iconic figure at Chelsea and Mourinho hopes his presence will give the club extra impetus ahead of the news season.
Mourinho wants an extra striker with the departure of Samuel Eto'o while Demba Ba and Romelu Lukaku are expected to leave even if only on temporary deals. Fernando Torres is keen to stay despite interest from Inter Milan.
Qatari clubs are willing to offer greater money with salaries being discussed of around £3million a season after tax but the idea of a return to Chelsea is something both parties wish to look at.
Mourinho has great affection for Drogba and knows he could have great influence on a squad that is changing this summer. He declared prior to the Champions League tie with Galatasaray in March that Drogba could return and is keen to fulfil that wish.
Drogba won three Premier League titles, four FA Cups and the Champions League while at Chelsea and Mourinho wants to use that experience to good effect with his new additions.

Kim Kardashian called her comment about Pregnant women a joke

Kim Kardashian explains she was joking when she said pregnant women should never leave the house in a recent interview with Elle magazine. The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" clarifies her comment on maternity styles in a series of Twitter posts, saying that she was being sarcastic.

"I guess you can't be sarcastic when doing interviews! I was asked about tips on pregnancy style," she wrote on Saturday, July 12. "I jokingly said pregnant woman should hide/stay in if they looked like I did lol. I said ask [sister Kourtney Kardashian] her tips [because] she has the best [pregnancy] style."

Kardashian, who has a daughter with husband Kanye West, added in another post, "I really should start video taping the interviews I do & post on my website so u can see the laughs & how it's really said."

The 33-year-old reality star previously made headlines after she told the magazine that pregnant women should just hide in the house. When asked about maternity styles, she said, "I recommend hiding for a good year and having no pregnancy style. That's what I recommend. If you can do it, hide. Never leave the house."

Her sister Khloe Kardashian, who was also with her during the interview, then told her that her advice was not "practical." The mother of one added, "That's really my recommendation. Wear a huge blanket. ... You just wear regular clothes in a bigger size."

Brazil 2014 World Cup: As Mario Götze Won the World Cup for Germany

Mario Götze has ended Germany's 24-year wait for a fourth World Cup title, scoring the winning goal to lift his team to a 1-0 win over Argentina in Sunday's World Cup final at the Estádio Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro.
The 22-year-old attacking midfielder broke a scoreless tie in the 113th minute when he cradled a gorgeous cross by André Schürrle and took one touch before pounding a left-footed volley past Argentine goalkeeper Sergio Romero inside the far post.
The championship marks Germany's first major title since Euro 1996, with a string of near-misses at World Cups in 2002 (runner-up), 2006 (third place) and 2010 (third place).
It's also Germany's first World Cup as a unified nation after winning titles as West Germany in 1954, 1974 and 1990.
