Space-age and sleek, the new Rolls-Royce is a massive departure from those classics which have gone before.
But this vehicle isn't concerned with a smooth drive for those behind the wheel - because it won't have a driver at all.
The Rolls-Royce Vision Next 100 has been presented at a swanky launch in London and it's given a new face to luxury mobility.
Codenamed 103EX, it is the marque's first ever pure Vision Vehicle.
The design claims it will "anticipate the mobility demands of the luxury customer of the future".
Realised in gleaming silver, the Rolls-Royce Vision Next 100 is said to be a "dynamic vision of the future of luxury mobility".
The brand has labelled it a "completely personal, effortless and autonomous" Rolls-Royce experience.
Rolls-Royce says that it's Rolls-Royce's statement of for the future as
it "rejects the notion of anonymous, utilitarian and bland future modes
of mobility".
Thanks to its clean lines and smooth curves, it certainly turned heads at the launch.
Kim Kardashian reportedly thinks Taylor Swift has reacted in a "stupid" way to recordings of their conversation regarding his controversial song Famous.
The
Shake It Off singer - who has maintained she didn't know Kanye West was
going to refer to her as ‘that b****’ in the track - responded to the
drama on Instagram, and while her rival is keeping quiet publicly, she
is said to not understand the issue.
A source told E! News: "[Kim
thinks it's so stupid]. She says the word 'b****' bothered her but on
the Grammys stage she never mentioned that. She said, 'Don't ever let
anyone say they made you famous.’”
The 1989 star took to Instagram just hours after the row was the
subject of the latest episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians and
insisted she was being painted as a "liar" and was never given the "full
story" about the track.
Slamming claims Kanye has video proof of
Swift giving her blessing for the song, she began: "Where is the video
of Kanye telling me he was going to call me 'that b****' in his song? It
doesn't exist because it never happened. You don't get to control
someone's emotional response to being called 'that b****' in front of
the entire world."
The post continued: "Of course I wanted to like the song. I wanted to
believe Kanye when he told me that I would love the song. I wanted us
to have a friendly relationship. He promised to play the song for me,
but he never did.
"While I wanted to be supportive of Kanye on
the phone call, you cannot 'approve' a song you haven't heard. Being
falsely painted as a liar when I was never given the full story or
played any part of the song is character assassination."
Swift captioned the picture: "That moment when Kanye West secretly records your phone call, then Kim posts it on the Internet."
It comes after Kim posted a string of videos of Kanye speaking to Taylor about his music on SnapChat.
In
the video Taylor can be heard saying: "Go with whatever line you think
is better. It's obviously very tongue in cheek either way. And I really
appreciate you telling me about it, that's really nice!"
She added: "I'm really glad you had the respect to call me that and tell me that as a friend, about the song."
Kim Kardashian posts video proof Taylor Swift DID hear Kanye West track Famous including 'b****' lyric before release.
In Sunday night's episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians 35-year-old
Kim can be seen chatting to her sister Kourtney, in a scene filmed
around the time of Kimmy K's GQ shoot, and she claims Taylor helped
"rewrite" the controversial track.
"I never talk s*** about anyone publicly, especially in interviews,
but I was just like, I have so had it," says Kim in the KUWTK clip – appearing to reference her claim in the interview that Taylor had 'lied' about Famous.
"I
just felt like I wanted to defend him in it cause she legitimately,
quote, said: 'As soon as I get on that Grammy red carpet I'm gonna tell
all the press I was in on it'."
"And then she just didn't like the reaction," interjected Kourtney as she nodded along in agreement.
"Yeah just another way to play the victim. It definitely got her a lot of attention the first time," added Kim. Ouch.
"I just don't think he should be punished for it still to this day."
The
mum-of-two then tells the camera: "I've had it with people blatantly
treating me husband a certain way and making him look a certain way.
"Kanye is always so honest and speaks his mind and when we were first
dating people would always talk s*** and he always had my back.
"At this point I really don't give a f*** so I'll do whatever to protect my husband."
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has responded to Eric Cantona's claim that he cannot be the king of Manchester, by insisting he will be the GOD of Manchester instead.
Cantona told Ibrahimovic he could be the 'prince' of the city following his switch to Old Trafford, but he would always be the king.
The
notoriously eccentric Swede has delivered the perfect one-liner back to
the mercurial Frenchman: "I admire Cantona. And I heard what he said.
"But I won’t be King of Manchester. I will be God of Manchester," report Swedish paper Aftonbladet.
Ibrahimovic previously remarked after his departure from Paris Saint-Germain: "I came like a king, I left like a legend."
The
former Barcelona striker is expected to start training with the Red
Devils this week following his switch to the club on a one-year deal.
He is looking to add the Premier League title to crowns in the Netherlands, Spain, Italy and France.
Cantona told Ibrahimovic joining United 'is the best choice you ever made' following his move.
The club great said:
"I have a personal message for Zlatan: You decided to go red. It is the best choice you ever made. "When you walk into the Theatre of Dreams. When you can feel the ghosts of the legends that have been here before. "When you score that first goal right in front of Stretford End. When you hear the crowd chanting your name. "When
your heart beats so strong that it bursts out of your chest. When you
feel that you will love them as much as they will love you. "You will know, my friend, that you finally made it home "Just
one last thing, there can only be one King in Manchester. You can be
the Prince if you want to. And the number 7 is yours if you are
interested. That is my welcome gift to you…The King is gone! Long live
the Prince!"
The French Prime Minister was booed as he visited Nice in the aftermath of the terror attacks.
As
Manuel Valls made his was to the scene where Mohamed Bouhlel mowed down
84 people on the promenade during the Bastille Day celebrations on
Thursday night, some of the crowd voiced their anger.
He was jeered by large portions of the thousands of people who had turned up to pay their respects in the coastal city.
Valls
and his government has been criticised over the last 18 months for not
doing enough to stop terror attacks in the country, following the
Charlie Hebdo attacks last January and the Paris massacre in November.
Talking
last month the French Prime Minister insisted the country is doing all
it can to foil terror plots but admitted 'more innocents will lose their
lives'.
He
said the intelligence and police services had stopped 15 attacks since
2013 and were waging a non-stop battle to track down and prevent
terrorists.
Speaking
on French Inter radio, Mr Valls said before the Euros: 'We need to
tighten the net and give police and intelligence services all the means
they need, but we will witness further attacks.
'More innocents will lose their lives.'
The
Bastille Day terrorist sent a series of chilling text messages just
minutes before his deadly attack on the Nice Riviera - delighting in his
last minute preparations for the atrocity.
The revelation suggests drug-crazed Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel was not a ‘lone wolf’ and had at least one helper.
The
31-year-old sent the message at 10.27pm on Thursday saying: ‘Bring more
weapons, bring five of them to C.’ An earlier message said: ‘It’s good.
I have the equipment,’ French TV reported.
The
31-year-old sent the message at 10.27pm on Thursday saying: ‘Bring more
weapons, bring five of them to C.’ An earlier message said: ‘It’s good.
I have the equipment,’ French TV reported.
The
significance of ‘C’ was unclear but Bouhlel had hidden two pistols,
ammunition, imitation machine guns and a grenade in the lorry cabin. He
launched his attack at around 10.45pm.
Bouhlel
had asked for the 'heaviest truck' available when he rented the
19-tonne vehicle and had spent two days driving up and down the
Promenade des Anglais working out how to cause the greatest amount of
damage.
She may have brushed off being pulled over by the police on Twitter.
But Lady Gaga looked less than impressed as she was pictured in the moment she was stopped by the cops, in Malibu.
The 30-year-old sported a quizzical expression as the policeman checked paperwork by the side of her brand new van.
The star looked casual as she sat in the car in a simple white T-shirt and styled her cropped hair into tousled waves.
And she sported picture perfect makeup with lashings of mascara and a dusky pink lip.
However,
the policeman looked unphased about meeting the star as he stared
intently at her driver's license - which the singer had obtained just two weeks before.
Lady Gaga
was initially spotted embracing her rite of passage on Friday, when she
was spotted driving her red pick-up truck but was later pulled over by
police.
The
Poker Face singer responded online to the event by writing on Twitter
the following day: 'Ya I got pulled over. Big deal! I just haven't
received plates yet for my new pick up!'
Ealier
in the day, Gaga was pictured driving her van as she paired a black
T-shirt with a trucker hat, a perfect outfit for a drive in her red
pick-up.
The blonde singer and actress added a pair of denim elastic trousers and Converse sneakers.
To complete her look, the American Horror Story star accessorized with a pair of polka dot shades.
The brother of a murdered Pakistani celebrity said he killed her after she refused to stop posting provocative photos and videos on Facebook.
Muhammad
Waseem said he was 'not embarrassed' to have killed Qandeel Baloch's
despite the death leading to calls for action against the 'epidemic' of
honour killings
The
strangling of Miss Baloch, 26, a controversial figure in deeply
conservative Muslim Pakistan for posting selfies and videos that would
appear tame by Western standards, has prompted a wave of shock and
revulsion.
Her
brother was arrested late Saturday, Multan City police chief Azhar
Akram said, and confessed to drugging then strangling her 'for honour'.
'Yes of course, I strangled her,' Waseem said at a press conference, organised by police, early Sunday.
'She was on the ground floor while our parents were asleep on the roof top,' he continued.
'It was around 10.45 pm when I gave her a tablet... and then killed her.'
Waseem said he acted alone.
He
added: 'I am not embarrassed at all over what I did. Whatever was the
case, it (his sister's behaviour) was completely intolerable.'
Miss
Baloch, believed to be in her twenties and whose real name was Fauzia
Azeem, rose to fame for her Facebook posts that saw her praised by some
for breaking social taboos but condemned by conservatives.
She was killed on Friday night at her family's home near Multan.
Up
to 100 officers were gathered outside her family's home in
Muzzafarabad, preventing neighbours from gathering. Five ambulances were
also parked nearby.
The model shared hundreds of videos of her dancing in minimal clothing with her 123,000 Instagram followers.
Waseem went on the run and was arrested late Saturday in neighbouring Muzaffargarh district.
Hundreds of women are murdered for 'honour' every year in Pakistan.
The
killers overwhelmingly walk free because of a law that allows the
family of the victim to forgive the murderer - who is often also a
relative.
Filmmaker
Sharmeemn Obaid-Chinoy, whose documentary on honour killings won an
Oscar earlier this year, slammed Miss Baloch's murder as symptomatic of
an 'epidemic' of violence against women in Pakistan.
She
joined other liberals in Pakistan who called for anti-honour killing
legislation. 'Activists have screamed themselves hoarse,' she said.
'When will it stop?'
But many conservatives pushed back, with some arguing online that her family would have had 'no choice'.
The pictures
showed Miss Baloch wearing her traditional lamb's wool cap as she posed
next to the cleric. Qavi later said she had asked him for a meeting and
they met in a hotel.
On
Valentine's Day, she donned a plunging scarlet dress and posted a video
message defying the country's president, who had issued a stern warning
against the 'Western' celebration. The post garnered more than 70,000
'likes'.
Speaking
at the time, she said: 'People are going crazy - especially girls. I
get so many calls where they tell me I'm their inspiration and they want
to be like me.'
She had reportedly spoken of leaving the country after Eid out of fear for her safety.
Malaysia
Airlines has struck a deal to settle damages claims to most of the
victims of the doomed MH17 flight, which was shot down over eastern
Ukraine two years ago.
Veeru
Mewa, a lawyer representing Dutch victims, said under the Montreal
Convention airlines must pay damages of up to about €130,000 ($145,000)
to victims' families regardless of the circumstances of a crash.
The
Boeing 777, carrying mainly Dutch passengers, was shot down by
pro-Russia separatists en route to Kuala Lumpur from Amsterdam, killing
all 298 on board.
The
Malaysia Airlines passenger jet was hit by a surface-to-air missile on
July 17, 2014 over eastern Ukraine, during heavy fighting between Kiev's
armed forces and pro-Russian separatists.
Two
thirds of the passengers were Dutch, but a group of 10 Britons died
onboard including Newcastle fans Liam Sweeney, 28, and John Alder, who
were travelling to New Zealand to watch their team take part in a
pre-season friendly match.
An
international inquiry concluded last October that the plane was downed
by a Russian-made BUK missile fired from a zone held by pro-Russian
separatists, but stopped short of saying who was responsible.
Initial findings of a Dutch-led criminal inquiry are expected to be presented later this summer.
It
was the second anniversary of the tragedy on Sunday, and vigil's around
the world allowed families and friends to pay homage to their loved
ones.
Mariam
Yusof, wife of the flight's pilot Captain Wan Amran Wan Hussin, visited
Sepang outside Kuala Lumpur with her children for a private MH17
remembrance ceremony.
Around 60
people gathered at the crash site in the village of Petropavlivka,
carrying flowers and lighting candles at the square where some of the
victims' remains and belongings fell to the ground.
Some
youngsters from the village - still controlled by pro-Russian
separatists fighting pro-Western government forces - also carried paper
planes in memory of children killed in the downing of the jet.
Village
council head Natalia Voloshina, said: 'Some of the relatives of people
who were killed phoned us and asked us to find things that were valuable
for them, for example, the toys that belonged to children aboard.'
Some
small pieces of wreckage, not yet handed over to Dutch investigators,
were stacked outside Voloshina's office to mark the anniversary.
