Selena Gomez has reached a new milestone in the world of social media. On Saturday, March 12, the "Hands to Myself" hitmaker took to Snapchat to announce that she's the most-followed person on Instagram.
In the video she posted, Gomez wore a black New York Yankees hat as she started to share the good news. "Hey guys. I'm officially the number one most followed on Instagram. Thank you!" she said before giggling.
Gomez now has 69.1 million followers on Instagram, followed by her BFF Taylor Swift, who has 69 million followers. The 23-year-old songstress also beats out Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner, who have 63.4 million and 54.1 million people following them respectively.
Gomez is also more popular than her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber on the online photo-sharing service. The Canadian singer came behind Gomez, having 61.3 million loyal Instagram Beliebers.
