Hundreds of demonstrators gathered on Thursday evening, January 8 outside the Budweiser Gardens in London, Ontario where Bill Cosby took the stage for the second time in the city. According to CTV News, some of the protesters brought some signs and shouted "shame on you" to ticket-holders.
A protester named Karen Ann Bridge, who had purchased tickets to the show but decided not to attend it following the rape allegations against the comedian, told The Canadian Press, "I don't think I could ever watch a show from now without that being at the back of my mind. These are just allegations but they still don't sit with me well... women don't lie about these things."
In other news, another celebrity has spoken out in defense of Bill. Appearing on "The Meredith Vieira Show" on Thursday, Vivica A. Fox praised Keshia Knight Pulliam for the way she handled the questions about Bill's scandal. Vivica told Meredith Vieira, "I worked on the Cosby show and was honored to do the show, and I have to agree with Keshia the man that I met was nothing like the man they are describing."
"He was nice, kind," she continued, "There was no sexual overtones or anything so I defend him and I stand by him as well, too." Meredith then told Vivica, "It also makes it all the more heartbreaking if these women are correct," to which she responded, "We shall see. We all weren't there and as I said the man I met and worked with was nothing like that."
