Fans will not see Taylor Swift
modeling any underwear. The singer reportedly has turned down offer to
strip down to her underwear for Armani alongside boyfriend Calvin Harris.
According to Armani insiders, Swift rejected the offer, reportedly worth £6.5 million, because she thought she "would be showing too much skin and damage her image." The insiders told the Daily Star (via Mirror Online), "If she was married to Calvin then things may be different."
Previously it was reported that Swift and Harris were approached to model Armani underwear and offered $10 million contract. As one of the hottest celebrity couples, the twosome were likened to David Beckham and Victoria Adams and expected to repeat the success of their underwear advertisements.
"Armani bosses reckon Taylor and Calvin could emulate the success of the David and Victoria adverts," a source claimed. "The Taylor offer is initially around the $10 million mark but that sum could then triple with global promotion if the campaign is successful." The source added, "Taylor and Calvin are the hottest thing on the planet right now. Calvin's adverts have done really well and helped the brand reach a different audience," when referring to Harris' Armani underwear campaign.
