Cristiano Ronaldo blasts Jose Mourinho: ‘He’s no friend of mine’

Cristiano Ronaldo has blasted Jose Mourinho for creating a ‘bad atmosphere’ at Real Madrid during his troubled reign at the Bernabeu claiming ‘He’s no friend of mine’.
Mourinho endured an explosive tenure at the La Liga giants for three seasons between 2010-2013 and was forced to leave Madrid last summer after a trophyless season.
The Real Madrid superstar has slammed Mourinho, who is now at the helm at Chelsea, for his attitude towards the squad and fans.
He told the Sun: ‘There was a bad atmosphere and it was a difficult period in personal terms.
‘There were situations with other players and also with the fans.’
Mourinho clashed with the Spanish press and also had public fall-outs with keeper Iker Casillas and current Manchester United midfielder Angel di Maria, which prompted fans to jeer the ‘Special One’ in his last season at the club.
Ronaldo added: ‘Of all my managers, the only one I have a friendship with is Sir Alex Ferguson. But I’m not in football to have friends. I’m here to win.’

Madonna calls Lady GaGa a 'Copycat' in Leaked New Song "Two Steps Behind Me"

Madonna is reportedly preparing a diss track aimed at Lady GaGa. The Sun says that the 56-year-old pop superstar calls the Mother Monster a "copycat" and a "wannabe" in a leaked new song titled "Two Steps Behind Me".

According to the British media, the song which may or may not make the cut into Madge's forthcoming 13th album includes lyrics like, "You're a copycat. Where is my royalty? You're a pretty girl, I'll give you that. But stealing my recipe, it's an ugly look."

"Did you study me hard enough? You're never gonna be, you're just a wannabe me. Like a sister all messed-up, who's gonna help you out? In your fantasy, you can try it all. But you can't be me. You can walk the walk, even talk the talk. But you'll always be two steps behind me," the lyrics continue.

Madonna's problem with GaGa started back in 2012, when she claimed her "Express Yourself" sounded too similar to the 29-year-old performer's "Born This Way".

It appears that "Two Steps Behind Me" is not Madonna's only diss song. There's another song titled "Heartbreak City" in which she accuses ex-husband Guy Ritchie of using her for fame. Some lines in the track read, "Cut me down the middle, f**ked me up a little. You said I was your queen. I tried to give you everything. And now you want your freedom. You got just what you came for, a bit of fame and fortune, and I'm no longer needed."

Premier League: Liverpool win as Arsenal slip up at Leicester

Liverpool ran riot at Tottenham with a dominant Premier League performance while Arsenal were left frustrated after dropping two points against Leicester.
Alberto Moreno's exquisite solo strike capped an excellent Liverpool display as Mauricio Pochettino's perfect start to life at Tottenham came to an abrupt end with a 3-0 defeat.
Brendan Rodgers' side produced the ideal response to Monday's defeat at Manchester City, with Raheem Sterling, Steven Gerrard and a wonderful effort from Moreno condemning Spurs to the loss at White Hart Lane.
And the first defeat of the Pochettino era would have been worse was it not for high-profile debutant Mario Balotelli's clear rustiness on an afternoon which will have brought back painful memories of last season's humblings at the hands of the Reds.
Leonardo Ulloa claimed a deserved point for Leicester as they matched Arsenal at the King Power Stadium in a 1-1 draw.
Alexis Sanchez scored his first Premier League goal, only for Ulloa to instantly level in the first half. However, Ulloa missed a glorious chance to win it after the break when he fired wide with just Wojciech Szczesny to beat.
Jamie Vardy was also denied by the goalkeeper as the hosts refused to lie down and let the Gunners stroll towards victory.
And, despite Sanchez's goal, the game underlined Arsenal's desperate need for striking reinforcements as Yaya Sanogo struggled to make an impact.

Joan Rivers Is on Life Support

There hasn't been an official update on Joan Rivers' condition, but TMZ reports that the "Fashion Police" host is on life support. The 81-year-old comedienne relies on the machines to stay alive after going into cardiac arrest during a throat surgery in New York City.

Joan was rushed to the Mount Sinai Hospital Thursday, August 28. Doctors put her in a medically induced coma as they attempted to assess the damage. On Friday, daughter Melissa Rivers said Joan's condition "remains serious but she is receiving the best treatment and care possible."

Joan's 13-year-old grandson, Cooper, and Melissa's ex-husband, John Endicot, were seen leaving the hospital Saturday morning. Her family remains "hopeful" that she could fight through it and recover. Love, prayers, and get-well wishes were pouring in from friends and colleagues.

"Fashion Police" co-host Giuliana Rancic tweeted, "Praying for @Joan_Rivers and @MelRivers. Even though Joan's the strongest woman I know, every single prayer counts. I love you, Joan." Fellow host Kelly Osbourne posted, "4 the first time in years I got down on my knees & prayed tonight! I encourage U 2 do the same 4 @Joan_Rivers my grandma! #inconsolable."

Chelsea go top of Premier League after nine-goal thriller at Everton

Chelsea came out on top in a nine-goal thriller at Everton to move to the summit of the Premier League as Manchester City suffered a shock defeat at home to Stoke and Manchester United dropped points at Burnley.
Chelsea demonstrated the full extent of their attacking power in the 6-3 victory over Everton at Goodison Park.
The win, in which Diego Costa opened and rounded off the scoring, made it three in three in the Premier League for the Blues.
Jose Mourinho's side got off to a flying start, with strikes from Costa and Branislav Ivanovic putting them two up after three minutes.
Kevin Mirallas pulled one back on the stroke of half-time, before a crazy period of five goals in 11 second-half minutes as Chelsea pulled clear only to be pegged back.
Seamus Coleman's unfortunate own goal after 67 minutes made it 3-1, only for Steven Naismith to finish neatly two minutes later.
Nemanja Matic's low strike had Chelsea 4-2 up in the 74th minute, but two minutes after that Samuel Eto'o, on for his Everton debut off the bench, headed home his side's third against his old club.
Ramires stabbed Chelsea's fifth past Tim Howard a minute later, and Costa finally put the result beyond doubt in the 90th minute, rounding Tim Howard to score.

Mesut Ozil is perfect for Arsenal- Wenger

Ahead of his side's Premier League match with Everton, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has claimed midfielder Mesut Ozil is a 'perfect' player and insisted the Germany midfielder does not get the credit he deserves.
Ozil has been the subject of plenty of negative publicity since his 42.4 million-pound move from Real Madrid last summer, with his critics claiming he has had a limited impact in big games for the Gunners since his arrival.
Yet Wenger offered a stout defence of the midfielder, who won the World Cup with Germany this summer, as he insisted he was an underrated member of his squad.
"People are very harsh on Ozil because he's a player who is easy with his play," stated Wenger. "He will never be a tackler, but he's not getting enough praise.
"When you watch his game back the next day you think 'what a player'. Everything he does is intelligent and the timing of absolutely everything he does is absolutely perfect.
"You never catch him giving the ball too late. The number of players you catch giving the ball too late is unbelievable. You never get that with Ozil.
"He's like a guy who plays music with perfect timing. There aren't many players like that.
"There's been the same debate about him in Germany, but he was always in the team in the World Cup."

Dogs EATING corpses of Ebola victims in Liberia

Dogs are digging up the corpses of Ebola victims buried in shallow graves in Liberia and eating them in the street, villagers have claimed.
Furious residents of Johnsonville Township, outside capital Monrovia, raised the alarm after packs of wild dogs were spotted digging up corpses from a specially-designated 'Ebola graveyard', dragging them into the open and feeding on their flesh.
The grisly scenes came three weeks after government health officials - desperate to stem the country's rising infection rate - hurriedly buried the bodies despite a heated standoff with villagers who refused to give their permission to use the land.
But rather than resolve the dispute, Liberia's Ministry of Health burial team dug the graves at night to avoid further confrontation, making the infected bodies easy targets for scavengers, villagers say.
Now fears are mounting that the dogs - which cannot grow sick from the strain of Ebola running rampant through West Africa but can carry it - will be able to pass it on to humans through licking or biting.
'We are very disappointed in the Health Ministry, especially the government that took an oath to defend and protect us,' Alfred Wiah told The New Dawn. 'To see them act in such manner is unacceptable and we’ll never allow the government come to bury any longer.'
He added: 'They will be resisted by us because I think the government has failed to protect us. Why bring Ebola bodies and not bury them well?'
While the dogs are unlikely to grow sick from the virus, there is a strong chance they could still pass it on to humans, Dr. Stephen Korsman of the University of Cape Town’s medical virology division told News 24.
'[The dogs'] infections appear to be asymptomatic,' he said. 'This means that dogs won’t get sick, but they still could carry a potential risk through licking or biting.'

Ronaldo warn Angel Di Maria of the responsibility of Man united number 7

Cristiano Ronaldo has warned Angel Di Maria that filling the No. 7 shirt at Manchester United will be "a big responsibility" but has backed him to rise to the challenge.
Di Maria will be following in the footsteps of Ronaldo in wearing the No. 7 after the Argentine's 59.7 million-pound move from Real Madrid. Other United greats, including George Best and Bryan Robson, also wore the shirt.
Speaking at the Champions League draw in Monaco, Ronaldo added that he was relishing the prospect of facing Liverpool in Europe, but that Real were determined to hold on to their crown even without the likes of Di Maria, to whom he sent a message of support.
"I wish the best to him, he deserves it, he's a fantastic player, he's going to do well at Manchester United," said Ronaldo. "And I said to him 'Number seven is a big responsibility', but I think he will be able to take that shirt because he's a fantastic player.
"Personally, it's a shame for me because I liked Di Maria, a very important player for us as was Xabi Alonso (who is understood to be on the verge of joining Bayern Munich). They are situations that happen in football, players come and players go.
"They are decisions of the club. We have bought very well with players like James [Rodriguez], [Keylor] Navas and [Toni] Kroos and for that reason we are in good condition with a great squad."
Ronaldo admitted he was surprised at United's poor start to the season, saying: "A little bit, yes. But it's still early."

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie tie the knot in France

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are now a married couple, the Associated Press broke the news. A spokesperson for the couple confirms the pair tied the knot in a private ceremony in France on Saturday, August 23 in front of family and friends.

The non-denominational civil ceremony took place at the couple's Chateau Miraval in the village of Correns. The powerhouse couple reportedly obtained a marriage license beforehand from a California judge, who was also on hand to conduct the nuptials in France.

All their six children took part in the ceremony. Sons Maddox, 13, and Pax, 11, accompanied their mother walk down the aisle. Daughters Zahara, 9, and Vivienne, 6, threw flower petals, while Shiloh, 8, and Knox, 6, served as ring bearers.

Pitt, 50, and Jolie, 39, started dating after meeting on the set of "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" in 2005. Pitt once said the movie was one of his favorites "because you know... six kids. Because I fell in love." The actor proposed to Jolie in 2012.

The pair will share screen again in "By the Sea" which she scripted. In the meantime, she is finishing her second directorial project "Unbroken", while he is promoting his latest flick "Fury". On Thursday during a photocall in Dorset, he reportedly flashed his wedding band.

Fernando Torres set for AC Milan

What seem likely to be Fernando Torres' final days at Chelsea have passed rather agonisingly, with there being little secret that the club are desperate to move him on. They may get their wish soon: The Telegraph says that discussions are well afoot with Torres' representatives about how to get him to AC Milan, with Jose Mourinho and company preferring to get him off their hands on a permanent deal rather than a loan. It's looking complicated though, and so too is Chelsea's pursuit to Torres' potential replacement, Roma striker Mattia Destro. Now that the Italians have sold defender Mehdi Benatia to Bayern Munich for 24 million pounds, they consider themselves well placed for a game of hardball. Alternatives apparently include Jackson Martinez and, intriguingly, Loic Remy.

More than 3m have fled syria- UN

Syria is now "the biggest humanitarian emergency of our era" with almost half of all Syrians forced to flee their homes.
The majority of refugees have fled to countries neighbouring Syria, with 1.14 million now seeking shelter in Lebanon.
More than 190,000 have been killed in Syria's three-year civil war.
Opposition groups in Syria have been fighting forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad since his government suppressed protests against his rule in March 2011.
The situation has been worsened in recent months by the formation and advance of the Islamic State group, which now controls large swathes of Syria and Iraq.
'Exhausted and scared'
The UNHCR says one in every eight Syrians has fled across the border and a further 6.5 million are displaced within Syria - more than half of them children.
Families arriving at refugee camps in neighbouring countries are exhausted and scared, with some having spent a year or more fleeing from village to village inside Syria.
The UN agency says the journey out of Syria is also becoming tougher, with many people forced to pay bribes to armed gangs.
Where Syrian refugees are
1,175,504 in Lebanon
832,508 in Turkey
613,252 in Jordan
215,369 in Iraq
139,090 in Egypt
23,367 in North Africa
6.5 million others are displaced within Syria
In addition to the registered refugees, Syria's neighbours estimate that hundreds of thousands more Syrians have sought sanctuary in their countries - causing enormous strain.
"The Syrian crisis has become the biggest humanitarian emergency of our era, yet the world is failing to meet the needs of refugees and the countries hosting them," said Antonio Guterres, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.
"The response to the Syrian crisis has been generous, but the bitter truth is that it falls far short of what's needed."

The "As Long As You Love Me" singer, who is joined by his on-and-off girlfriend Selena Gomez during his trip, uploaded photos of him, Gomez and some other people having a horseback riding session on Thursday, August 28.

Another photo Bieber uploaded on Instagram shows him trying out a cowboy hat. Staring at the camera, the pop star wrote, "They gave me the sad cowboy hat." He also shared a photo showing a silhouette of a man riding a horse.

An eyewitness previously told E! News that the pair were spotted at a Tim Hortons restaurant. "They came in and ordered a bunch of food and drinks. They ordered paninis and crispy chicken sandwiches and doughnuts. They had bodyguards with them, so some of the food may have been for them too," the source said.

Xabi Alonso to join Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich have confirmed they have agreed a deal with Xabi Alonso over the Real Madrid midfielder's proposed move to the Bundesliga champions.

The former Real Sociedad and Liverpool midfielder is set to become Bayern's second major signing of the week, following the arrival of defender Medhi Benatia from Roma.

Manchester United were target for rivals fans online after 4-0 humiliation by MK Dons

Manchester United were again a target for rivals fans online as their poor start to the season got significantly worse on Tuesday night as they were thrashed 4-0 by MK Dons.
The internet had not been kind to Louis van Gaal after he picked up just one point in his first two games in the Premier League and the web closed in again after the mauling in Milton Keynes.
United were dire at stadium:mk, with defensive errors commonplace and a lack of attacking cohesion.
Many virals continued to attack Van Gaal, but there was also plenty of comment about new signing Angel di Maria, who signed for United from Real Madrid on Tuesday in a deal worth £60million.
Meanwhile, players from rival clubs also took to social media to enjoy United's misfortune.
Manchester City's Edin Dzeko and Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech both expressed their pleasure on Twitter, while former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong suggested he might as well pop along to Old Trafford for a trial.
Below is the best of the internet reaction to United's embarrassing thrashing...

Looking sexy at 73: Widow spends £10,000 on cosmetic surgery

A 73-year-old proves age is just a number as she turns the heads of men 50 years her junior in her skin-tight mini-dresses - after splashing out more than £10,000 on cosmetic surgery.
Pensioner Jane Pesch, from Swadlincote, Derbys, shuns the comfortable slacks and knitted cardigans usually associated with the older generation, instead opting for skyscraper heels and fishnet stockings.
While her OAP friends are collecting their pensions, the widowed mother-of-three and great-great aunt flies across Europe to go under the knife in Poland to keep her size 10 figure and youthful looks in check.
She forks out £300 every two months on Botox to keep wrinkles at bay - and even spent £4,000 on a neck lift because she felt gravity was giving her age away.
And after a facelift and a breast augmentation, she’s finally satisfied with her looks - and since husband Walter, an engineer, passed away three years ago, has even turned to internet dating sites to find a toy boy to take her out on the town.

England: Frank Lampard retires from International Football

Frank Lampard has announced his retirement from international football after representing England on 106 occasions.
Lampard, 36, left Chelsea for New York City in the summer before being loaned to Premier League champions Manchester City.
He has now called time on representing Three Lions, having featured for his country over a period of 15 years, with his last appearance coming at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil where he skippered his nation in a 0-0 draw with Costa Rica.
Lampard made his England debut in 1999 at the age of 21, but it was not until Euro 2004 that he played in a major championships. Since then he has appeared at most major tournament England have qualified for, including three World Cups -- but he missed Euro 2012 through injury.
He is the joint sixth most-capped player in England history, level with Bobby Charlton, while his 29 international goals puts him joint ninth on the country's list of top goalscorers.
The Londoner's decision comes little more than a month after long-time central midfield partner and England captain Steven Gerrard ended his England career, marking the end of an era for the national team.
Lampard said in a statement released by his management company:  "I have taken the decision to retire from international football. It has been a very tough decision for me to make which is why I have given it so much thought since the World Cup.
"I have always been exceptionally proud and honoured to represent my country and have to say looking back I have enjoyed every minute of wearing the England shirt.
"Due to my club career now going in a different direction it is of utmost importance for me to consider my family first. Also, to concentrate on how I can perform consistently to the best of my abilities over my next few years in club football.
"It is now the time to move forward and I feel very confident that with Roy Hodgson in charge, the young players that we have coming through, and the changes that are being made throughout the development of the youth system in this country, that we will have success in the future and a team that this country deserves.
"I would like to thank all the managers that I have worked under, all the players that I have been fortunate enough to play alongside, and all the England fans for their support, not only at home but particularly on their travels with the team around the world.
"I now look forward to continuing to support the team as a fan and wish them every success for the upcoming campaign towards France 2016."
England manager Hodgson said he had held talks with Lampard during the World Cup and has accepted his decision.
He told the official FA website: "I've been aware since discussions in Brazil that Frank was considering his England future. I spoke to him since his loan to Manchester City about the possibility of him retiring, primarily due to the fact that he's taken on new commitments both here and abroad.
"I know it's not a decision he's taken lightly and, as with Steven Gerrard's decision, I promised Frank that I would accept his choice with good grace and not try to change his mind."
He said Lampard had been a "superb representative of the English game" and "served the national team quite brilliantly during his 15-year international career."
He added: "It is with regret that I accept and understand the decision he's made. I wish him the best of luck with Manchester City and New York City and I'd like to thank him for all the help he's provided for me during my time as England manager."

Arrival of an Angel: As united complete Angel Di Maria signing

Manchester United have completed the British record signing of Angel Di Maria from Real Madrid on a five-year contract.
Louis van Gaal's side have paid an initial 59.7 million pounds ($99 million) for the Argentina international, who becomes their fourth summer addition.
Di Maria passed a medical after arriving in Manchester on Monday evening when a fee, which will also include add-ons, was agreed with the European champions.
Di Maria told his new club's official website: "I am absolutely delighted to be joining Manchester United. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in Spain and there were a lot of clubs interested in me, but United is the only club that I would have left Real Madrid for.
"Louis van Gaal is a fantastic coach with a proven track record of success and I am impressed by the vision and determination everyone has to get this club back to the top -- where it belongs. I now just cannot wait to get started."
Van Gaal added: "Angel is a world-class midfielder but most importantly he is a team player. There is no doubting his immense natural talent.
"He is a tremendously fast and incisive left-footed player who puts fear into the most accomplished defence. His dribbling skills and his ability to take on and beat opponents are a joy to watch. He is an excellent addition to the team."
United wrapped up the deal for the 26-year-old quickly after moving for the former Benfica player, who had told Real he would not sign a new contract and wanted to leave the Bernabeu following the arrival of Colombia's James Rodriguez from Monaco.

Transfer news: Liverpool complete Mario Balotelli signing

Liverpool have completed the signing of Mario Balotelli from AC Milan.
Balotelli, 24, underwent a two-part medical in Manchester and Liverpool on Friday and Saturday after the Reds agreed a 16 million-pound fee with Milan.
The Italy international, who has signed a long-term deal, met his new teammates on Monday and took part in a short training session, while he will travel to watch them face his former club Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Monday evening.
He told Liverpool's official website: "I always start a competition wanting to win it. We will see. I want to win another Champions League for sure, because the Champions League wasn't all mine, I was in a team. I want to take this team to the Champions League.''
Balotelli also admitted that just 18 months back in Milan had convinced him he should return to the Premier League. He added: "I'm happy to be back because I left England and it was a mistake. I wanted to go to Italy but I realised it was a mistake. English football is generally better. English football is beautiful.''
Balotelli was given a rough ride by Liverpool fans during his visits to Anfield while with City, but he has already been given a warm welcome by supporters who had been mourning the departure of Luis Suarez.
He added: "I didn't expect it [the warm reception] because whenever I played against Liverpool, the fans weren't nice with me but that's normal -- it's football! Now that I play for Liverpool, I can see the expectation in people. They're very happy and that makes me very happy at the same time.
"To play here for Liverpool excites me, but if you're an opponent it's difficult. Liverpool are one of the best teams here in England. The football is very good here. It's a great team with young players, and that's why I came here.''

Ebola outbreak: DR Congo report first case of ebola infection

The Democratic Republic of Congo has confirmed that an outbreak of haemorrhagic fever in the north of the country has been identified as Ebola.
Health Minister Felix Numbi told the BBC that tests on two people had confirmed the disease in Equateur province, where 13 had already died.
But he said the deaths occurred in an isolated area and the disease seemed a different strain to West Africa's.
Dr Numbi said a quarantine zone was being set up to contain the disease.
The cases are the first reported outside West Africa since the outbreak there began.
So far 1,427 people have died from the virus.
The speed and extent of the outbreak has been "unprecedented", the World Health Organization (WHO) says.
An estimated 2,615 people in West Africa have been infected with Ebola since March.

In da club Rapper '50 Cent' Responds After Floyd Mayweather Bragged About His Money

50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather, Jr.'s beef continues. On Saturday, August 23, the rapper responded to the boxing champ's Twitter post in which he bragged about his money. Uploading a photo of his two checks, Mayweather captioned it, "Read this $72,276,000.00. God bless."
The "In da Club" rapper then wrote on Instagram, "I guess you want people to see your math is better then your reading. Get a account Floyd, the people around you are using you.if you mad at me call me or come see me." In the short expletive-filled clip, he said, "You put up a check? That must be for a blogger. N***a, you know I got money. Look b***h, the check say Golden Boy. That mean you work for [Oscar De La Hoya] b***h?"

50 Cent also poked fun at Mayweather by posting three photos which mocked his alleged problems with reading. One photoshopped snap shows the two sitting in a classroom, another post is a poster of Mayweather and Harry Potter, while the other is a shot of the boxing champ reading "The Cat in the Hat".

It all started on Thursday when the rapper said that he would donate $750,000 "to whatever charitable organization you want to" if Mayweather read a page of "Harry Potter" book. The "Animal Ambition" rapper later taunted him, "We know you can't pronounce those words in that Harry Potter book, so we're going to let you read 'The Cat in the Hat'."

La Liga: black cat invades Nou Camp pitch during Barcelona-Elche game

They say black cats are a sign of bad luck but Barcelona will be hoping that doesn’t ring true.
A furry feline found its way onto the Nou Camp turf during the first half of their season opener with Elche.
After dancing past a few of their La Liga counterparts, the cat gave an advancing Rafinha a sideways glands before sprinting on.
Eventually he was taken off the pitch by a chasing steward.
If Barca are struggling for attacking options during Luis Suarez’s suspension, this Cat-alan might be worth a signing!

Transfer News: Manchester United finally agree Angel Di Maria fee

Manchester United and Real Madrid have finally agreed a fee for Angel Di Maria's pending move to Old Trafford.
The English side will pay 75 million euros upfront, with up to 15 million euros of add-ons and incentives attached, split into three potential payments of five million euros.
With the way the deal would be structured, United will most likely end up paying 80 million euros for the 26-year-old.
It remains to be seen whether that figure will tally with the figures publicly released by United, given recent disputes over exact money paid in deals between English clubs and the Spanish giants, most notably those for Luis Suarez and Gareth Bale.
The stated fee would match what Madrid paid to sign James Rodriguez from Monaco earlier this summer, and would help club president Florentino Perez to appease the club's fans amid dissatisfaction at the sale of Di Maria.
The Argentina winger is expected to travel to Manchester to complete the deal on Monday, and has been promised the No. 7 shirt at Old Trafford. He is expected to sign a five- or six-year deal.
Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti had confirmed earlier on Sunday that Di Maria is on his way out of the Bernabeu.
"It is not fully done, but he is close to a transfer," Ancelotti said. "He came to say goodbye. We thanked him for what he has done for this team and we wished him luck for the future. It is not official, but it is resolved."
Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso -- formerly of Liverpool -- also tweeted: "Thank you for everything Fideo! I wish you the best, even though it is Manchester United :) We will never forget the zigzag in extra time in Lisbon."

Boko Haram Territory: Gwoza in Borno state is no longer part of Nigeria- Abubakar Shekau

Boko Haram's leader has declared an Islamic caliphate in a northeast Nigeria town seized by the extremist militants earlier this month.
Abubakar Shekau, the terrorist behind the kidnapping of more than 200 schoolgirls four months ago, made the statement during a video which shows a group of prisoners being shot with assault rifles as they lie in a ditch.
He declared that Gwoza, in Borno State, now has 'nothing to do with Nigeria' and said 'by the grace of Allah' they will not be leaving the town.
'Thanks be to Allah who gave victory to our brethren in (the town of) Gwoza and made it part of the Islamic caliphate,' he claims during the 52-minute video.
'By the grace of Allah we will not leave the town. We have come to stay,' said Shekau, who has been designated a global terrorist by the United States and sanctioned by the UN Security Council.
The United Nations humanitarian office (OCHA) earlier this month confirmed reports that Gwoza was under rebel control.
Boko Haram is also believed to be in control of other areas near the seized town in southern Borno, as well as large swathes of territory in the north of the region and at least one town in neighbouring Yobe state.
Mapping the precise areas which have fallen into Islamist hands is nearly impossible.
There are few humanitarian workers on the ground in the northeast, travel is dangerous and the region, which has been under a state of emergency since May of last year, has poor mobile phone coverage.
Experts have described Boko Haram's gains in recent weeks as unprecedented, saying the group was closer than ever to achieving its goal of carving out a strict Islamic state across northern Nigeria.
But many analysts believe the military has the capacity to reverse the insurgents' advance.
Soldiers this week refused to deploy to Gwoza without better weapons in an apparent mutiny.

Sunderland - Man United: Van Gaal defended Ashley young after yellow card booking for diving

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal criticised referee Martin Atkinson for booking Ashley Young for simulation during the 1-1 draw at Sunderland but admitted the winger had exaggerated the contact.
Van Gaal -- who refused to be drawn on Real Madrid's Angel Di Maria -- is still searching for his first Premier League win after Jack Rodwell's header cancelled out Juan Mata's opener on Sunday.
Both Robin van Persie and Ashley Young saw penalty appeals turned down in quick succession in the second half, and Young picked up a yellow card for simulation after going over Wes Brown's leg, but Van Gaal defender the player.
He told Sky Sports: "He was free at the ball -- he lifted the ball across the player and the opponent is kicking him. After that he was jumping too much, but what counts is that he was kicked by the opponent and then the referee can give a penalty.
"He was tackled in my opinion, but after that he was exaggerating -- but it is not diving because he was touched by the opponent."

Anaconda accident: One of Nicki Minaj's 'Anaconda' Dancer was Bitten by Snake During a Rehearsal

One of Nicki Minaj's backup dancers was reportedly bitten by a snake during a rehearsal for the star's upcoming performance of "Anaconda" at MTV Video Music Awards. TMZ reports that the 6-foot long reptile, ironically believed to be an anaconda, bit the female dancer in front of everyone when the raptress was performing onstage.

The site notes that Anacondas are non-venomous snakes, but they are capable of transmitting bacteria that can lead to serious infections. The dancer was taken to a local hospital for treatment while the snake was removed from the stage in a container.

Now that the snake has harmed someone, it's unclear if the animal will still be used for the performance.

Minaj is scheduled to take the VMA stage at the Forum in Inglewood, California, on Sunday, August 24. She will also join Jessie J and Ariana Grande to open the event with their collaboration hit "Bang Bang".

Liverpool may sign Samuel Eto'o if Balotelli deal falls through

Liverpool are continuing to consider Samuel Eto'o as a back-up option if Mario Balotelli's move falls through.
Balotelli arrived in England on Friday after the Reds agreed a 16 million-pounds fee with AC Milan. The striker has accepted a significant pay cut to join Liverpool, but manager Brendan Rodgers wants to be absolutely sure that the deal is right for the club before committing to it.
For that reason, Rodgers has refused to close the door on a deal for Eto'o, sources said.
The Cameroon international, 33, has been without a club since Chelsea released him last summer, and is also thought to be interesting Everton.
Liverpool, though, will only pursue a move for Eto'o if they were to pull out of a deal to sign Balotelli.
The Italian forward met Rodgers after undergoing the first part of his medical on Friday, with the second part scheduled for Saturday.
If all goes according to plan, Balotelli is likely to become a Liverpool player early next week.
He is set to be offered a three-year contract, with an option for an extra 12 months after that.
Reports suggest that the forward will be paid a basic salary of between 80,000 pounds and 90,000 pounds, a significant drop on the 160,000 pounds weekly salary he is believed to have been earning at AC Milan.
However, he will be able to increase his salary by adhering to good behaviour clauses stipulated in his contract.
But whatever happens, the 24-year-old will not be available to face his former club Manchester City in the Premier League on Monday, as he has missed the registration deadline for that match.

Nicki Minaj 'Anaconda' Music Video Breaks Record

Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda" music video has officially broken Vevo's record for the most views in 24 hours. It's announced on Friday, August 22 that the twerk-filled clip racked up 19.6 million clicks on the first day of its release, besting the 19.3 million views by previous record holder Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball".

After learning of the news, Minaj shared her excitement on Instagram, writing, "WE BROKE THE RECORD BABY!!!!! Anaconda Video 19.6 million views in 24 hrs!!!!" The much-discussed clip, which also features a cameo from Drake, has so far been played more than 43 million times on Vevo.

This is not Minaj's first time to have set the single-day watch record. In October 2012, her collaboration with Justin Bieber "Beauty and a Beat" broke the record with 10.6 million video views. In January 2012, her "Stupid Hoe" clip scored 4.8 million plays.

"Anaconda" is the latest single off Minaj's "The Pink Print" album. She'll perform the song live during the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, August 24 after kicking off the event with "Bang Bang", her collaboration with Jessie J and Ariana Grande.

Carlo Ancelotti denial reports of Di Maria departure to United

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has denied reports that Angel Di Maria was left out of Friday's Spanish Super Cup 1-0 second leg defeat at Atletico Madrid because the Manchester United target is about to leave the La Liga club.
But the Blancos boss did admit that Sami Khedira -- who might also be of interest to the Old Trafford outfit as well as fellow Premier League club Arsenal -- was being allowed to leave the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
Ancelotti was speaking after a lacklustre Madrid side were outbattled and outplayed by a super-spirited Atletico team, who went ahead early through new centre-forward Mario Mandzukic and deserved to hold on to win 2-1 on aggregate even after coach Diego Simeone was sent to the stands.
The Italian coach told his post-match news conference that it had been a sporting decision not to include Di Maria in his 18-man squad, but Khedira had not been selected as he was close to leaving the club.
"It was a technical decision not to play Di Maria," Ancelotti said. "I did not need him today. Khedira has permission to leave. I am not interested in where he goes."
Some speculation has suggested that Madrid might use any money raised through player sales to sign another centre-forward -- with Monaco's Radamel Falcao a long-time favourite of club president Florentino Perez. However Ancelotti said he did not want another No. 9 as he was happy with current striker Karim Benzema, despite the French international having now scored just once in his last 15 club games.
"I am very happy with Benzema," Ancelotti said. "Although he did not score he is useful for the team. We do not need another solution at centre-forward."
