Mariah Carey
will seemingly walk down the aisle sooner than we thought. On
Wednesday, June 15, the "We Belong Together" hitmaker gave updates on
her wedding, hinting that the preparation is going well.
Though she is busy with her Las Vegas residency, Carey assured everyone
that her tight schedule would not halt her weeding with her billionaire
fiance James Packer. In an
interview with E! News inside The Colosseum at
Caesars Palace, the songstress said, "We're getting it together, darling."
The date of her big day remains big secret, but she said that she
already got her wedding dress. "You know what? It's time. The dress and
the whole thing. I'm working and he's working and everyone puts so much
pressure," she continued. "I have the dress. It's in a box, darling."
Earlier this week, Life & Style falsely claimed that Carey and
Packer would cancel their wedding. "Mariah is really pissed off. She had
planned such a beautiful wedding, and now she's terrified it's never
going to happen," the site's source claimed.
It was also reported that Carey and Packer often fought because she
hardly had time for him. "All that Mariah and James have been doing
lately is fighting," said the source. "James has been very patient with
her, but the last thing he wants is to go through this crazy wedding
planning again." Now, it's clear that the rumor is wrong as Carey
herself has clarified that her busy schedule wouldn't affect her
relationship with the businessman.
