The former Three Lions skipper led his country with distinction but has previously said he would not go into management.
Beckham is instead launching a venture as an owner with a Miami-based franchise he intends will play in the MLS.
However, he has now opened the door to a possible role as a manager, and won't rule out leading England down the line.
Speaking at a special event at London’s Jewish Community Centre, he said: “So many people have turned round to me and said ‘why don’t you want to be an England manager in five years, ten years?’
“That might change at some point in the future.
"I might wake up one morning and think ‘Maybe I could be a good manager’.”
