An emergency was declared while it was flying over Northern Ireland.
The Boeing 777 Saudi Airlines plane was en route from Jeddah, in the Middle Eastern kingdom, to New York’s JFK airport.
Flight tracking radar shows that an emergency was declared while the plane was flying over Northern Ireland.
It had travelled over northern England before flying over Northern Ireland. However, it turned around over Ireland and started travelling towards Wales.
Eventually the plane landed in Heathrow , with mum and baby said to be doing well.
A photo posted by Gulf news shows four air hostesses holding up the baby infront of the camera.
One of the hostesses holds a toddler in her arms, who seems particularly intrigued by the baby's sudden appearance.
As the unnamed woman went inti labour, the aircraft coasted in over Rhyl at 30,000 feet and continued its flight over Buckley and Wrexham, the Daily Post reported.
Pictures show the plane landed at Heathrow at about 11.10am. The plane was dumping fuel ahead of its landing at the west London airport.
