Man fed himself to lions, claimed apocalypse was coming

A former soldier who jumped naked into a lion enclosure claimed the apocalypse was coming and he was a prophet from God.
Franco Ferrada, 20, leapt into the pit at Santiago Zoo on Saturday in an apparent suicide attempt.
Two lions at the zoo in Chile were shot dead as they attacked the man after he jumped into the enclosure.
A note was reportedly found in his abandoned clothes, that said: "The apocalypse has arrived, and I will know when it shall come.
"I am the prophet and I have returned for my people."

He also had a piece of paper in his wallet with two scribbled drawings of lions on, according to Mail Online.
Witnesses said he was also speaking about biblical hero, Daniel, who was thrown to the lions but saved by an angel sent by God.
His apparent suicide attempt is believed to be linked to his mother's death, which family members said he never came to terms with after she passed away from breast cancer when he was 11.
Family members said Mr Ferrada was put in care after his mother died and his dad turned to drink. He then went on to join the army.

Extraordinary images from the incident appeared to show the nude man grappling with the lions as visitors watched in horror.
Staff were forced to intervene and took the decision to shoot dead two of the lions, a male and a female - sparking outrage among animal rights activists.

World's Heaviest: 19 years old mum gives birth to baby weighing whopping 15lbs

A mother has given birth to a baby girl weighing a whopping 15lbs - the heaviest girl ever born in the world.
Nandini, 19, who goes only by her first name, welcomed her first child, a daughter, by caesarean section on Monday evening at a government-run hospital in Hassan in southern state Karnataka.
The average baby is born weighing 7.5lbs - making Nadini's newborn female twice the size.

Dr Venkatesh Raju, the local health officer, said: "In my 25 years of experience, I had never seen such a big baby. She is a miracle.
 “I believe she is not only the heaviest baby born in India but the heaviest baby girl ever born in the world."
The yet-to-be named baby left everyone including her mother and medics in shock due her sheer size.
Dr Poornima Manu, gynaecologist who delivered the baby said: "She came as a big surprise for all of us. The surgery took place for nearly half an hour and it was free of any risk. She is really big and beautiful.
"She does not have any health issues like irregular sugar levels or thyroid and is breathing well. We were initially concerned about her sugar levels but that is normal. The mother had made regular visits for check-ups at the hospital and never showed signs of gestational diabetes or thyroid disorders.
"Both the mother and the child are doing fine and we will discharge them once we are confident of the baby's health."

Toilet Battle: Python bites man's penis while he sits on the loo

A man was caught in a blood-soaked battle with a massive snake after it slithered up sewer pipes and bit onto his penis as he sat going to the toilet.
Atthaporn Boonmakchuay was squatting over the toilet at his Thailand home this morning when he suddenly felt a sharp bite to the tip of his penis.

He immediately grabbed down below with his hand and was horrified to discover he had caught hold of the head of a huge snake that had clamped its jaws around his privates.
The 38-year-old immediately screamed for his wife and began fighting the serpent - which refused to let go of his member.
The pair were thrashing around the tiny toilet - leaving blood splattered across the floors and walls but just as he feared he could lose his penis, Atthaporn hatched an ingenious plan to remove the snake with seconds to spare.
He called out for a rope and just before passing out managed to grab the four-metre serpent’s head and tie it to the bathroom door.
The 38-year-old was hospitalised after suffering huge blood loss and collapsing from the dramatic snake attack during his morning bathroom routine.
According to Bangpakong News , emergency services were then called in to free the massive serpent from pipes under the family home in Chachoengsao, east of Bangkok.
Fire crews used hammers to smash the toilet and drag the python, which was still alive, out of the ground according to reports in Thailand.

Twitter users plead with Marvel to give Captain America a Boyfriend

Twitter users are urging Marvel to give Captain America a.k.a. Steve Rogers, played by Chris Evans, a boyfriend. Using the hashtag #GiveCaptainAmericaABoyfriend, some fans paired Captain America with his best friend Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) while others paired him with Iron Man Downey

Chris isn't opposed to the idea of romance between Cap and Bucky. "That wouldn't be so bad," the "Captain America: Civil War" actor told Flickering Myth. "It's just never been part of my approach to the character. My subtext didn't involve that dynamic. I think even with the first Captain America film you see how drawn he is to Peggy Carter...I thought I put all that in the final scene, but maybe I didn't. Maybe I was just gazing at Sebastian too much."





Other fans refused to give Captain America a boyfriend, asking people to stop "gaying" all the things.
