Miss World Pageant Bans swimsuit Portion in Future Competitions

Days after Miss South Africa Rolene Strauss was announced as the winner of Miss World 2014, the pageant's organization has decided to ban swimsuit portion on future competitions. Swimsuit portion has been one of the most popular rounds in Miss World pageant in 63 years.

National Director of Miss World America/Miss United States organization Chris Wilmer told ABC News, "The organization has decided to take itself out of the swimsuit world because it isn't the path they're trying to take. It's not just a beauty contest, it's 'beauty with a purpose.' There didn't seem to be a purpose to have the swimsuit."

The organization wanted future contestants of Miss World to focus on charity work and raise awareness to worthy causes. "Miss World should be a spokesperson who can help a community. She's more of an ambassador, not a beauty queen," Chris said, "It's more about the outreach and what a woman could do with a title like Miss World."

The organization planned to replace the bikini portion with a beachwear round. "It'll be more of a fashion competition than a bikini show," Chris added. It also plans to add more challenge events like sports, dance, talent, top model gown, Beauty with a Purpose video and some interviews.

"I salute the miss world organization for their efforts to try and modernize," Chris told the site, "Pageantry is an age old industry and I think with Julia getting rid of swimsuit and making it more of a lifestyle competition sends a strong message and I applaud her for it."

The elimination of the bikini portion was first announced by Miss World Chairwoman Julia Morley. Speaking to Elle, Julia said, "I really don't want-I don't need to see women just walking up and down in bikinis. It doesn't do anything for the woman. And it doesn't do anything for any of us. I don't care if someone has a bottom two inches bigger than someone else's. We are really not looking at her bottom. We are really listening to her speak."

Joe Hart extend stay at Manchester City with new contract

Joe Hart has committed his future to Manchester City by signing a new contract which will keep him at the club until 2019.
The England goalkeeper becomes the latest City player to extend his stay at the Etihad Stadium, following the likes of Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko, Aleksandar Kolarov, Samir Nasri and David Silva.
The 27-year-old told the club's official website: "I'm really happy, I've been here a long time now and I want to keep that going."
Hart said: "The new deal means I get to stay longer -- the club's doing amazing things at the moment, we've created history and we want to keep doing that.
"Wanting to stay here was never going to be an issue for me -- I've loved every moment since I joined. The club's growing and I've been really lucky to be part of the ride.
"I just want to keep winning with the team and keep developing. A lot of the boys have signed long-term deals, so we're building as a squad and I think that quite a few of us have been here for a long time now.
"We're enjoying building that winning mentality, how the club is growing is around us and how we need to grow along with it."
Confirmation of Hart's deal had been expected since manager Manuel Pellegrini revealed an agreement was close a fortnight ago.

Nicki Minaj is made the New Face of Roberto Cavalli's Spring/Summer 2015 Campaign

Nicki Minaj has been chosen as the new face of Roberto Cavalli's Spring/Summer 2015 campaign. Roberto announced the news on Instagram, writing, "#RobertoCavalli is proud to announce that @nickiminaj is the face of its Spring/Summer 2015 campaign shot by @francescocarrozzini in Los Angeles! #NickiForCavalli."
Nicki shared some pictures, shot by esteemed photographer Francesco Carrozzini, on the photo sharing site on Thursday, December 18. In the pictures, the "Super Bass" hitmaker looked elegant wearing a range of stunning outfits which mostly took on themes of flower and animal prints. "I am so honored to be the face of the new #RobertoCavalliSS15 campaign. #NickiForCavalli," she wrote alongside a photo.
Roberto told Glamour about his reason to choose Nicki as the face of his new collection. "I chose Nicki Minaj because she embodies the exuberant and modern femininity of the Cavalli woman," he said.
"In recent years we have become accustomed to women castigated in clothes that hide their body shapes," he explained, "With this campaign, I wanted to send a strong countertrend message. I wanted a sensual woman who is aware of her body, who is not afraid to show her curves, rather she make them as a strength."

Kris and Bruce Jenner's divorce is completed

A Los Angeles county judge has signed the legal documents to finalize Kris Jenner and Bruce Jenner's divorce, TMZ reports. According to the site, Kris will keep the family house and the former couple divided up various bank accounts and other assets.

Based on the settlement agreement, neither of the former couple will receive spousal support. They will share joint and legal custody of their 17-year-old daughter Kylie Jenner. Under the agreement, Kris will have to pay Bruce $2.5 million as an Equalization payment.

Kris will keep her 2012 Rolls-Royce Ghost, 2014 Bentley and 2014 Land Rover while Bruce will hold onto his 2011 Porsche 997 Coupe, 2013 Cadillac Escalade and 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Kris and Bruce won't be officially divorced and allowed to remarry until March 23, 2015 due to the six-month legal requirement.

The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star filed for divorce from Bruce back in September after 22 years of marriage. At that time, she cited the usual irreconcilable differences as the reason of the split. She listed their date of separation as June 1, 2013 although she announced their split later in October.
