Transfer news: Liverpool complete Mario Balotelli signing

Liverpool have completed the signing of Mario Balotelli from AC Milan.
Balotelli, 24, underwent a two-part medical in Manchester and Liverpool on Friday and Saturday after the Reds agreed a 16 million-pound fee with Milan.
The Italy international, who has signed a long-term deal, met his new teammates on Monday and took part in a short training session, while he will travel to watch them face his former club Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Monday evening.
He told Liverpool's official website: "I always start a competition wanting to win it. We will see. I want to win another Champions League for sure, because the Champions League wasn't all mine, I was in a team. I want to take this team to the Champions League.''
Balotelli also admitted that just 18 months back in Milan had convinced him he should return to the Premier League. He added: "I'm happy to be back because I left England and it was a mistake. I wanted to go to Italy but I realised it was a mistake. English football is generally better. English football is beautiful.''
Balotelli was given a rough ride by Liverpool fans during his visits to Anfield while with City, but he has already been given a warm welcome by supporters who had been mourning the departure of Luis Suarez.
He added: "I didn't expect it [the warm reception] because whenever I played against Liverpool, the fans weren't nice with me but that's normal -- it's football! Now that I play for Liverpool, I can see the expectation in people. They're very happy and that makes me very happy at the same time.
"To play here for Liverpool excites me, but if you're an opponent it's difficult. Liverpool are one of the best teams here in England. The football is very good here. It's a great team with young players, and that's why I came here.''

Ebola outbreak: DR Congo report first case of ebola infection

The Democratic Republic of Congo has confirmed that an outbreak of haemorrhagic fever in the north of the country has been identified as Ebola.
Health Minister Felix Numbi told the BBC that tests on two people had confirmed the disease in Equateur province, where 13 had already died.
But he said the deaths occurred in an isolated area and the disease seemed a different strain to West Africa's.
Dr Numbi said a quarantine zone was being set up to contain the disease.
The cases are the first reported outside West Africa since the outbreak there began.
So far 1,427 people have died from the virus.
The speed and extent of the outbreak has been "unprecedented", the World Health Organization (WHO) says.
An estimated 2,615 people in West Africa have been infected with Ebola since March.

In da club Rapper '50 Cent' Responds After Floyd Mayweather Bragged About His Money

50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather, Jr.'s beef continues. On Saturday, August 23, the rapper responded to the boxing champ's Twitter post in which he bragged about his money. Uploading a photo of his two checks, Mayweather captioned it, "Read this $72,276,000.00. God bless."
The "In da Club" rapper then wrote on Instagram, "I guess you want people to see your math is better then your reading. Get a account Floyd, the people around you are using you.if you mad at me call me or come see me." In the short expletive-filled clip, he said, "You put up a check? That must be for a blogger. N***a, you know I got money. Look b***h, the check say Golden Boy. That mean you work for [Oscar De La Hoya] b***h?"

50 Cent also poked fun at Mayweather by posting three photos which mocked his alleged problems with reading. One photoshopped snap shows the two sitting in a classroom, another post is a poster of Mayweather and Harry Potter, while the other is a shot of the boxing champ reading "The Cat in the Hat".

It all started on Thursday when the rapper said that he would donate $750,000 "to whatever charitable organization you want to" if Mayweather read a page of "Harry Potter" book. The "Animal Ambition" rapper later taunted him, "We know you can't pronounce those words in that Harry Potter book, so we're going to let you read 'The Cat in the Hat'."

La Liga: black cat invades Nou Camp pitch during Barcelona-Elche game

They say black cats are a sign of bad luck but Barcelona will be hoping that doesn’t ring true.
A furry feline found its way onto the Nou Camp turf during the first half of their season opener with Elche.
After dancing past a few of their La Liga counterparts, the cat gave an advancing Rafinha a sideways glands before sprinting on.
Eventually he was taken off the pitch by a chasing steward.
If Barca are struggling for attacking options during Luis Suarez’s suspension, this Cat-alan might be worth a signing!
