The mum-of-two has suffered complications in the past when pregnant with her daughter North, now three, and 10-month-old son Saint .
But after refusing to have any more children, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star is considering having a third child.
In a clip from the next week's KUWTK episode, Kim reveals to her shocked family: "So I've come to the conclusion that I just want to explore surrogacy."
The 36-year-old admitted her decision is partly down to her rapper husband Kanye West .
Kim says the 39-year-old Gold Digger singer has been badgering her about having another baby ever since Saint was born.
She said: "I was so set on my two kids and how happy I was with my life the way that it is, but Kanye has been mentioning it every single day for the past 10 days.
"I'm like, why is he doing this to me?"
Kim struggled throughout her first two pregnancies, suffering from a high-risk condition called placenta accreta.
The condition means the placenta remains attached to the wall of the uterus instead of coming away after the birth of the baby.
"My doctor had to stick his entire arm in me and detach the placenta with his hand, scraping it away from my uterus with his fingernails," Kim explained previously. "How disgusting and painful."
Kim fears her previous problems will put her at a higher risk of complications in future pregnancies.
"With the issues I had last time, my risk of having pre-eclampsia and placenta accreta are increased and there's not a whole lot I can do to prevent it, so my anxiety is a little high leading up to my delivery," she said previously.
"In a very rare case, I might need a hysterectomy after delivery if my condition is severe enough, but luckily my doctor doesn't think this will happen."
