Adam Johnson puts his mansion up for sale for £1.8 million as he serves a six-year prison term

Disgraced footballer Adam Johnson has put his mansion up for sale as he serves a six-year prison term.
The ex-Sunderland winger was jailed in March after he was found guilty of engaging in sexual activity with a 15-year-old schoolgirl.
Johnson, 29, had earlier admitted kissing the underage girl in his parked up Range Rover in 2015 and grooming the schoolgirl, the Chronicle Live reported .
He was cleared of another count of sexual activity with a child.
Earlier this week a judge threw out the former Black Cat’s star’s application to appeal against his conviction, though his lawyers have said they plan to renew the application.
Johnson lived at the Castle Eden mansion, in County Durham, with his girlfriend Stacey Flounders and their baby daughter.
Miss Flounders stood by Johnson during his court proceedings but told Bradford Crown Court the pair had split and were just friends.
She was reported to have moved out of the home in the weeks after Johnson started his sentence at Moorland Prison in South Yorkshire.
Johnson bought the five-bedroom home in 2012 for £1,575,000 and will make a tidy £320,000 profit on the house if he manages to sell the house at the asking price of £1,895,000.
The “dream home” boasts a gym, putting green and personalised cinema room and sits in 2.2 acres of land with security fencing and gates.
