SA sports chief- Oscar Pistorius could compete at 2020 Paralympics

Disgraced sprinter Oscar Pistorius could still compete at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo, a South Africa sports chief has claimed.
The blade runner was sentenced to six years in prison earlier this week for the murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.
However, he has already served one year of the term and be released well in advance of the Games in Japan.
Tubby Reddy, CEO of South Africa's Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee, says he would have 'no problem' with Pistorius competing.
"He would have paid his debt to society and will be back in society, living as a normal South African citizen. There is no rule that says he wouldn’t be able to participate.
"Yes, the sentence he has been given has divided opinion – there are those who are happy about it and there are those who are unhappy, and you will always have that.
"But if he is out on parole, as it seems he will be before then, and qualifies for selection then I don’t see how there can be a problem – why not?"

Alton Sterling and Philando Castile killing: Beyonce urges fans to take action in powerful letter

Beyonce has urged her fans to take political action in the wake of the shootings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile.
On Tuesday, father-of-five Sterling, 37, was shot several times while he was pinned to the ground by two police officers outside a convenience store in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
The following day Philando Castile, 32, was shot as he reached for his wallet during a traffic stop in Minnesota.
Both incidents were captured in shocking footage which has been widely shared on social media.
Today, Beyonce joined a host of stars who have spoken of their shock and sadness in powerful responses to the deaths.
In a post titled ‘Freedom’, Beyonce issued an urgent call to action.

 

"We are sick and tired of the killings of young men and women in our communities,” she wrote. “It is up to us to take a stand and demand that they ‘stop killing us.’ We don't need sympathy. We need everyone to respect our lives."
Alongside the statement, Beyonce linked to ContactingtheCongress.org , the Louisiana State Legislature website and also the Minnesota State Legislature website.

Beyonce’s statement in full:

"We are sick and tired of the killings of young men and women in our communities. It is up to us to take a stand and demand that they 'stop killing us.'

The singer asked for a moment of silence as a giant screen behind her displayed some of the names of the lives lost to police violcence.

Euro 2016 final: Mark Clattenburg to referee match between France and Portugal

UEFA have confirmed that Mark Clattenburg will referee the showpiece match between Portugal and France in Saint-Denis.
The appointment means Clattenburg will complete a remarkable treble this summer, having already officiated the FA Cup final and Champions League final.
The 41-year-old has refereed four matches at the tournament so far, starting with Italy's 2-0 defeat of Belgium in the group stage.
He then took charge of Croatia 2-2 Czech Republic and Iceland's win over Austria, plus the round-of-16 match between Switzerland and Poland.
Clattenburg is highly rated on the continent, despite not being seen as the FA's top referee; Martin Atkinson was the original choice to go to Euro 2016.

Jay-Z's release new song 'Spiritual' in wake of Police brutality

Jay-Z react to recent cases of police brutality by releasing a new song. Made available for streaming on Tidal on Thursday, July 7, the track titled "Spiritual" is the first new material from the rapper as a lead artist since 2013's "Magna Carta... Holy Grail".

The song that addresses police shootings against black people includes lyrics like "I am not poison, no I am not poison/ Just a boy from the hood that/ Got my hands in the air/ In despair don't shoot/ I just wanna do good, uh."

In a statement accompanying the song, the Roc Nation founder says, "I made this song a while ago, I never got to finish it. Punch (TDE) told me I should drop it when Mike Brown died, sadly I told him, 'this issue will always be relevant.' I'm hurt that I knew his death wouldn't be the last......"

Naturism Festival: Naked people of all shapes and sizes enjoyed a cider farm visit

More than 300 nudists have enjoyed a barn dance, teddy bears' picnic and an Elvis impersonator as part of a week-long naturism festival.
British Naturism, the representative body for naturists in the UK, brought Nudefest to Somerset for the first time. Yesterday naked people of all shapes and sizes stripped off on arrival at Burrow Hill Cider farm in Somerset.
Staff even joined in with the nudity, but spared their modesty with strategically-placed stripy aprons.
Today the bare-skinned revellers will visit a nature garden, enjoy a war-time singalong, and tonight Bavarian-style entertainment with 'oompah' musician Baron Von Schmidt Haus.

Carol and Steven Wilkes were there with friends Keith and Annette Evans and have been 'doing' Nudefest for years.
Carol, 57, from Walsall, said: "We've been really lucky with the weather. It's usually really windy when you're camping."

Steve, 61, added: "There are heaters at the site. We put clothes on when it gets cold - we're naturists, not stupid."
Annette, 69, from Hampshire, said it's the atmosphere and chance to live naked freely that keeps them coming back. She said: "We come back, yes, because of the friends, but it's also the only chance we get to live fully without clothes - no taking them off and putting them back on again. It's liberating.

"The Elvis impersonator last night was amazing. His clothes were made by the original Elvis tailor, and we had a teddy bear's picnic today.
"We also had our first naked tandem cycle ride around the lake."
Annette is used to people misunderstanding their lifestyle but wanted to assure the public they were just normal people.
She said: "We're not here for people to make fun of us. We're not an amusement. We just like to live without clothes as we feel it's more natural."
Thorney Lakes Camping and Caravan site near Langport is playing host to around 300 nudists until July 11th.

A variety of activities have been planned or those wanting to take part and events will be planned throughout the week both on and off-site.

Marvel comics fans have reacted with joy after the brand new Iron Man was revealed.
Riri Williams, a 15-year-old genius, has been revealed as taking over from Tony Stark after successfully reverse engineering her own version of Iron Man's armoured suit, and fans could not be more thrilled at her inclusion into the CMU.
"Tony stepping down as Iron Man and allowing a young POC WOMAN to take his spot... amazing," one fan wrote.

With Tony Stark becoming almost too old to step into the Iron Man suit and fight for the world, he's been on the look-out for a replacement, so when Riri manages to create her own Iron Man suit, the billionaire playboy knows he's found his successor.
"And this story of this brilliant, young woman whose life was marred by tragedy that could have easily ended her life, just random street violence, and went off to college was very inspiring to me," Iron Man writer Brian Michael Bendis told Time.

"I thought that was the most modern version of a superhero or superheroine story I had ever heard."
The writer also revealed that Riri may even be smarter than the notorious genius, and that Tony is aware of it.
He said: "He’s also aware that this young woman is flying by him in terms of how quickly she’s doing it. Her brain is maybe a little better than his.
"She looks at things from a different perspective that makes the armor unique. He can’t help but go maybe I should buy her out."

Serena Williams has made waves at Wimbledon and it's got as much to do with her outfit as her tennis skills.
The star impressed as she beat Anastasia Pavlyuchenkovaon on centre court to move into the semifinals but many viewers were shocked by her VERY revealing top.

The tight white shirt left very little to the imagination , with one sports fan tweeting: "With all the money Serena Williams earns, why can't she buy a decent sports bra which covers her nipples properly?"
However, it's not the only outfit to cause controversy during the tournament.
Both Kiki Bertens and Eugenie Bouchard have been seen in Nike's controversial dress, and it's not always been a good look thanks to the flimsy nature of the design.
Any gust of wind or particularly exaggerated movement makes the dress fly above the waist, which Eugenie discovered during the first round.

She told Australia's News.com: "When I was serving, it was coming up, and I felt like the dress was just everywhere. In general, it's quite simple, the dress, but it was flying everywhere."
However, Garbine Muguruza has taken Wimbledon fashion to a new level with her Stella McCartney dress, which features laser-cut holds and a feminine style.

Game of Thrones Season 7 production may start a bit

As if ten months is not long enough to wait for the new season of "Game of Thrones", season 7 air date is now potentially pushed back. Showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss revealed during a UFC podcast that production would start a little bit later than usual to capture the gloomy weather. "We're starting a little bit later because, at the end of this season, winter is here, and that means that sunny weather doesn't really serve our purposes any more," said Weiss. "We kind of pushed everything down the line so we could get some grim, gray weather, even in the sunnier places that we shoot."

As for whether the delay in production would push back the season premiere, Weiss just said, "We don't have an air date yet."

"Game of Thrones" usually began production on its new season in July for a March or April premiere. HBO has not commented on how the production delay will affect the air date.

In the meantime, we can only speculate on what will happen next to some favorite characters. A fan theory suggested that Jon Snow could end up with Daenerys Targaryen or Sansa Stark. Responding to this, Sophie Turner said, "Oh my god, really? I haven't actually heard that. Stranger things on 'Game of Thrones' have happened."

She continued, "Maybe politically, it makes sense, I honestly don't know how I would feel about that, I'd have to speak to the producers about that one. Honestly, what I think is going to happen - and I don't know where the story is going to go, but I think Jon and Daenerys are going to end up together, probably. I feel like Jon and Sansa would be a strange one, especially because isn't it considered not legitimate if you haven't consummated the marriage, and I really don't think either of them would be particularly up for that. It would be very difficult to do that. [Laughs.]"

Asked whether knowing Jon is her cousin would change anything for Sansa, the actress responded, "Yeah, definitely. Sansa always took her mother's side on that. She was always influenced by her mother's resentment towards Jon because of Ned allegedly cheating on her and bringing back an illegitimate child, so finding out that Ned never cheated, that Jon isn't an illegitimate child of Ned's, would probably bring them closer together. I think at this point where there could be a lot of rifts in their relationship, it's good to have something that would probably draw them closer together."

Emilia Clarke also weighed in on the possibility of Dany marrying Jon. "Those rumors have never been substantiated within the 'Game of Thrones' circle. It's never been said. So I don't know. I could kill him. He could kill me. He could be dead before we even meet. I could be dead before we even meet. Arya could kill us both! You never know! Anything's possible. All I know is winter is coming ... and I'm bringing the heat!" she coyly said.

52-Year-old Mum of two spent £85,000 on cosmetic surgery to look 30

A mother-of-two has spent thousands of pounds on cosmetic surgery to look 30 in her fifties and to ensure she has a bikini body for summer.

Bee Cameron, from Liverpool, is so determined to stay wrinkle-free and youthful looking that she's splashed out on a range of invasive and non-invasive procedures including liposuction, three boob jobs, thigh gap surgery and an upper eye-lift.

But, despite suffering several botched ops and racking up £6,000 worth of debt, the 52-year-old is hooked - and has no plans to stop.

Slim size 10 Bee said: 'Surgery boosts my confidence and I often get chatted up by men as young as 18. It's flattering, and no one believes me when I tell them how old I am.

'Now, I don't date anyone over 35, and have a great sex life as a result and I look forward to my procedures like someone looks forward to a date.'

'I consider my body an ever changing work of art. I am not hurting anyone and I find the fact I can change and control my appearance empowering.

'I know some people may criticise but it's my life and my body,' she declared, proudly adding that plastic is fantastic.

Bee who is bikini ready thanks to her plastic surgery procedures has just returned from an early summer holiday to celebrate her 52nd birthday.

'People were shocked it was my 52nd!' she said. 

Now she is currently undergoing a series of fillers in her hands. The process better known as a 'Madonna Hand Job' is designed to stop the top of her hands from showing signs of age.

'The skin thins with age and the fillers give them more depth and help reverse the aging process. I have to have 3 to 4 further sessions to ensure its perfect as well I have just had fillers to sculpt my cheeks and jaw line and more Botox,' explained Bee.

Bee's love of cosmetic surgery and desire to achieve a 'plastic look' began after she finished breastfeeding her two children. 

'I had my kids and was dull and boring in my 20's and 30's and even 40s'. I decided in my 40s I wanted a new body, a new look, a new image and I wanted to be 30 again - 50 is the new 30 – people say that I have used plastic surgery to produce a body that proves it and I will have the latest and most radical surgeries just to see the effect. 

I was also partly inspired by the sexiness of Jessica Rabbit – that 50's sex appeal was what I wanted.'  Bee started over a decade ago having Botox injections. 

'After I had my first Botox injection and some filler to get rid of bags under my eyes I saw my exhausted face given a new lease of life I knew I wanted more.' 

Next Bee wanted her breasts enhanced. After breastfeeding, my breasts were left looking like bags of marbles. I  remember when I was feeding my children I loved the larger size so I set about replicating that size.

Hannah Rose Bailey, from Australia, was one of 75 animal rights activists to protest outside Pamplona's main square on Tuesday as the northern Spanish city's San Fermin festival prepares to kick off this week.

The 22-year-old wore just her underwear and a bull horn headband as she poured buckets of fake blood over herself as part of the demonstration organised by AnimaNaturalis and PETA.

About one million people from around the world come to see the week-long festival's daily running of the bulls, where runners lead the animals through the streets. 

In the evening, there are bullfights.

'Torturing and killing animals can never be justified as entertainment,' Hannah said. 

'We're calling on Spain to end its widely condemned Running of the Bulls event and the bullfights that follow - and, with them, the horrific suffering and abuse of bulls.'

Ms Bailey was joined by 75 other protesters from Spain, Sweden, Russia and the UK.

AnimaNaturalis director Aida Gascón told Spanish news agency Europa Press they were trying to raise awareness of the 'cruelty and torture' these events bring for the animals.

He said 54 bulls die in the festival each year.  

The running of the bulls takes place in Pamplona every year from July 7 to 14.
