Riri Williams, a 15-year-old genius, has been revealed as taking over from Tony Stark after successfully reverse engineering her own version of Iron Man's armoured suit, and fans could not be more thrilled at her inclusion into the CMU.
"Tony stepping down as Iron Man and allowing a young POC WOMAN to take his spot... amazing," one fan wrote.
Another added: "I get people don't want Tony to step down or whatever but having a black woman as Iron Man is incredible and amazing representation."

However, some have reacted negatively to Riri, calling her 'PC' but others have hit back. With Tony Stark becoming almost too old to step into the Iron Man suit and fight for the world, he's been on the look-out for a replacement, so when Riri manages to create her own Iron Man suit, the billionaire playboy knows he's found his successor.
"And this story of this brilliant, young woman whose life was marred by tragedy that could have easily ended her life, just random street violence, and went off to college was very inspiring to me," Iron Man writer Brian Michael Bendis told Time.
The writer also revealed that Riri may even be smarter than the notorious genius, and that Tony is aware of it.
He said: "He’s also aware that this young woman is flying by him in terms of how quickly she’s doing it. Her brain is maybe a little better than his.
"She looks at things from a different perspective that makes the armor unique. He can’t help but go maybe I should buy her out."
