Kim Kardashian goes into 'extreme dieting mode' to drop the last of her baby weight before her wedding to Kanye West

Then and now: Kim (left) pregnant last May and the famous selfie she posted of herself a swimsuit last October, five months after giving birth to North, has already lost 50lbs

And for dinner it is all about a lean protein, like grilled chicken, to which she would probably add broccoli and a salad dressed with olive oil and lemon.

When the hunger gets too much, the star could snack on celery, pepper slices or cucumber spears dipped in hummus and a few slices lean smoked turkey breast.

Wedding bells: The star is reportedly walking down the aisle in France with Kanye West, pictured April 14 in Paris, next month

Kim may have just over a month before she can indulge her sweet tooth with many reporting the star will tie the knot with Kanye West on May 24 in France.

Iranian Mother Stops the Execution of Her Son's Murderer, Choosing Forgiveness Instead

Imagine you had the ultimate chance for revenge, to inflict the worst pain you've ever felt in equal measure on the person who caused it. In Iran, this is part of the legal system: Qisas, the sharia law of retribution, can be applied literally in some cases. One family had the opportunity. Instead, they did something extraordinary.
Seven years ago, 18-year-old Abdollah Hosseinzadeh was fatally stabbed during a street brawl in Royan, a small town in the northern province of Mazandaran. His attacker, another young man known only as Balal, was sentenced to hanging by public execution. Hosseinzadeh's parents were allowed to participate by knocking out the chair that would support him.
When the moment finally came this week, Balal, who wore a black hood over his face, and the crowd that had gathered to watch waited for the drop. Hosseinzadeh's mother approached the gallows.
She didn't kick. Instead, she slapped him.

Astronomers confirm discovery of first rocky, Earth-sized planet that might hold liquid water--necessary ingredient for life.

Using the Kepler space telescope, NASA astronomers have found the first planet that they believe to be made of rock, roughly equivalent in size to Earth and potentially capable of supporting life.
The planet, Kepler-186f, orbits the star Kepler-186 some 490 light years away in the constellation Cygnus. It has a diameter of 8,700 miles, making it larger than Earth, and its orbit lies within the "Goldilocks zone" where temperatures could allow for liquid water to flow on its surface. Kepler-186f likely even boasts similar gravity. It's the first such planet to ever be discovered outside of our solar system.

"It's Earth-size," Elisa V. Quintana of the SETI Institute and NASA's Ames Research Center told the New York Times. "It's in the habitable zone. So we now know these planets do exist."

Pellegrini: Man City still have title hopes

MANCHESTER -- Manuel Pellegrini refused to accept Manchester City's title hopes ended with their 2-2 draw against Sunderland and vowed to fight to the end.
But the City manager accepted his side, who have only taken one point from their last two games and are six behind leaders Liverpool, have a much slimmer chance after failing to beat the relegation-threatened Black Cats.
And Pellegrini took heart from City's title-winning campaign in 2012, when they were six points behind Manchester United with half a dozen games to go and ended up topping the league.
"The chances are less than before the match," the Chilean said in his news conference. "It was very important for us to win the three points. For different reasons we couldn't but we continue fighting to the end.

Photos of inked seniors show how body art fares over the passage of time

Standing proud: At 77, Isobel Varley is the most tattooed senior in the world, and she claims she doesn't regret a single one her elaborate inkings

Tattoos, once the ultimate rebel stamp, have become popular and widespread adornments in recent times.

Yet many eager young devotees have pondered, on their way to the tattoo parlor, how they will feel about their inkings once they reach old age.

Actor Johnny Depp, 50, once said: 'My body is my journal and my tattoos are my story' - a sentiment echoed by the proud and seasoned subjects in a series of photos which display how elaborate tattoos appear on senior skin.

One in five U.S. adults now have at least one tattoo, compared to just 16 per cent of the population in 2003, according to the Harris Institute of Research.

For the first time in recorded history, women are slightly more likely to have them than men - and twice as likely to later have them removed - but overall, 86 per cent of those questioned have 'never regretted' their tattoos.

Isobel Varley, 77, Guinness Book of Records 'Most Tattooed Senior in the World' title, waited until her late forties to get her first one but quickly got hooked and has now covered over 76 per cent of her body in tattoos.

Now tat's impressive! For the first time in recorded history, women are slightly more likely to have tattoos than men - as Ms Varley (pictured) proudly displays

Barcelona will stand by Tata Martino- Carles Puyol

Barcelona will stand by Tata Martino- Carles Puyol
Carles Puyol has defended Barcelona coach Gerardo Martino, insisting the players must bear equal responsibility for a dismal week in which the club exited the Champions League and slipped to third in La Liga.
Barca followed their 1-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid in Europe last week with a 1-0 loss to Granada in the league, which has prompted heavy criticism of Martino in newspapers including Mundo Deportivo. Sport, meanwhile, reported on Monday that Borussia Dortmund coach Juergen Klopp is the club’s first choice to replace the Argentine.
However, club captain Puyol told a news conference that it was unfair to hold Martino responsible for the recent disappointments.
“We are a team and the blame is for everyone,” Puyol, who is currently sidelined through injury, said. “It is easier to attack a coach than 25 players, but we know ourselves that the whole team is responsible.

Manuel Pellegrini - It would be disappointing for Football if Chelsea were to win the Premier League this Season

Manuel Pellegrini - It would be disappointing for Football if Chelsea were to win the Premier League this Season

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini believes it would be "disappointing for football" if Chelsea were to win the Premier League this season.
City and title rivals Liverpool have easily outscored Jose Mourinho's side this season, with Pellegrini bemoaning their more cautious style of play.
Liverpool have scored 90 league goals in 33 games this season, with City notching up 84 from 31 games.
In contrast, Chelsea have struck just 65 times in their 33 matches and Pellegrini feels the team that wins the title should offer more entertainment than that.
"It would be very disappointing, for football, for the fans, for everyone," he said.
