Paul Walker's Brothers Confirmed to Stand in for Late Actor in 'Fast and Furious 7'

It's officially decided, "Fast and Furious 7" will resume production with Paul Walker's brothers joining the cast. Cody Walker and Caleb Walker are confirmed to fill in for their late brothers to help film his final scenes and conclude his journey in the upcoming movie.

Paul died in a car crash last November. He was 40 and is survived by a daughter named Meadow. According to Yahoo! Movies, Caleb in his mid-twenties is the youngest of the three siblings. He is a paramedic who previously worked as a movie stuntman. Caleb, meanwhile, is in his late thirties.

"The FAST & FURIOUS saga is about family," Universal announces the news on a Facebook note. "The characters are connected by the bond of family, and it is how all of us who have worked together for more
than thirteen years feel about each other. It certainly defines how we feel about our fans."

"We have resumed shooting and now welcome Paul's brothers, Caleb and Cody, into our FAST family. Caleb and Cody are helping us complete some remaining action for their brother and fill in small gaps left in production. Having them on set has made us all feel that Paul is with us too."

"We are just under a year away from the release of FAST & FURIOUS 7, and this film is the most important we've ever done together," the studio concludes. "It will allow the character of Brian O'Conner to live on and let us celebrate Paul in his most defining role."

Following Paul's passing, O'Conner will be retired in this seventh installment directed by James Wan. The late actor "had already shot his dramatic scenes and most of his action for FAST & FURIOUS 7, and it's among the strongest work of his career," the studio says.

The movie was originally due this year, but has been moved back to April 10, 2015 after his tragic accident. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jason Statham, Ludacris, and Tyrese Gibson are among the returning cast members.

At the MTV Movie Awards this past weekend, Paul and his sidekick Vin Diesel won Best On-Screen Duo. While the award was not televised, the late actor was remembered by his co-star Jordana Brewster in a special tribute segment.
