Paul Walker's younger brother Cody Walker could step in for the late star in "Fast and Furious 7".
According to MailOnline, the 25-year-old stunt actor has been asked to
film Paul's final scenes and help conclude his journey in the upcoming movie.
"They can shoot Cody from behind and at distance and if it's a shot they
need Paul's face in close up they can CGI it later on," a source says.
"If Cody agrees it's because he wants to honor his brother's memory.
There are many details that still need to be worked out, but right now
the family and cast and crew are all still grieving."
Walker, 40, died in a fiery single-car accident with his friend Roger
Rodas. Production for the movie is currently put on hold as the script
is getting rewrite. It's unclear if Universal will stick to the original
release date on July 11, 2014, but filming reportedly could resume in
January.
His co-stars are still mourning his death. Vin Diesel
recalled how he broke down in front of his co-star's family. "I thought
they needed my strength but realized when I got there and broke down
before his family, that it was I who needed theirs," he wrote on Facebook.
"His mother hugged me and said I am so sorry ... I said sorry? You're
the mother who lost a son? ... She said yes, but you lost your other
half."
Walker's final completed movie "Hours" was released on December 13. His grieving family attended a private screening
at La Canada Flintridge, California before the release. A portion of
the film's profits will go to Reach Out Worldwide. A portion of revenues
from "Fast and Furious 6" DVD sales will also be donated to the organization that the actor held dear to his heart.
