Feeling festive: Kelly Clarkson came over all Christmassy as she performed on The Voice on Tuesday night

Oh baby: The 31-year-old singer is expecting her first child with new husband Brandon Blackstock

Next year, she will be celebrating Christmas with her first child by her side.

So it’s understandable that Kelly Clarkson is feeling merry and full of festive joy at the moment.

The pregnant singer showed her Christmas spirit as she performed on The Voice on Tuesday night.

Kelly was sporting a glittering red party dress that had a pretty puffy skirt, and matching shoes with sparkling trim.

The 31-year-old even had a crimson microphone and stand to perfectly coordinate with her ensemble.

Kelly performed her new holiday song Under The Tree, which will feature on her upcoming TV special Kelly Clarkson’s Cautionary Christmas Music Tale.

As she belted out lyrics about finding someone to spend Christmas with, Voice coaches Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton were seen dancing along.

Kelly’s back-up dancers at one point began handing gifts out to the audience from large stockings, with Blake receiving a present too.

The star won the first season of American Idol, so she knows how The Voice finalists are feeling.

And after watching the show the previous evening, Kelly made sure to gush about her favourites on Twitter.

‘So I just saw the best vocal performance ever on @NBCTheVoice ....holy c**p Tessanne can sing! Beautiful, just beautiful! And classy!’ she tweeted after gushing that Cole Vosbury ‘sounds great’ and adding: ‘I love him.’

Kelly married Brandon Blackstock, the son of her manager, in an intimate ceremony in Tennessee in October, and confirmed last month that she is pregnant with her first child.

Brandon was at the centre of a 'cheating' claim on Monday after an anonymous source alleged to a website that they currently having relations with him. 

However, Brandon's ex-wife Melissa Ashworth has come forward to Radar, calling the claim 'ridiculous'.

The initial report emerged on gossip website The Dirty, that claimed to have received an anonymous letter detailing the alleged infidelity.

'We haven't slept together, but we've been intimate in other ways,' the anonymous source said in the letter. 

But Brandon's ex-wife Melissa tells Radar: 'This is ridiculous … this silliness, I have my two children [by Brandon] right here, who I love.'

She continues, 'I adore Kelly and Brandon as a couple, so if I say anything it’s going to be positive.'
