According to the magazine, Jacko earned an impressive $825 million in 2016 thanks in large part to his investment in the Sony/ATV music publishing catalog, which is known for its The Beatles songs. He originally paid $47.5 million in 1985 to buy the catalog. Sony, which paid him $115 million for a 50/50 partnership, then purchased the late singer's half for $750 million earlier this year.

"Jackson's total pretax payday of $825 million ranks as the biggest annual haul by any celeb dead or alive," said Forbes.

Miles behind the deceased King of Pop on the Forbes list is "Peanuts" creator Charles Schulz. Kim Kardashian has filed a federal lawsuit against Media Take Out for saying she lied about Paris robbery

Kim Kardashian was left traumatized by the scary robbery that happened to her in Paris, so she is understandably upset by reports claiming that she faked the ordeal. The reality TV star is particularly unhappy with some articles published by Media Take Out which she has just sued.

Multiple reports can confirm that Kim has filed a federal lawsuit against the tabloid and its owner Fred Mwangaguhunga for three stories including one saying that she "staged" the robbery for publicity. MTO also ran another story suggesting that "French authorities" thought she set up the whole thing and "let the robbers in" her apartment.

Another report Kim took issue with was about her insurance claim. "If she faked the robbery ... she just committed a FEDERAL CRIME," the news outlet wrote. In her lawsuit, the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star noted that the website cited "unidentified and clearly uninformed" people off social media as its sources.

"Kardashian was assaulted and robbed by two masked men, who placed a gun to her head, duct-taped her hands, legs and mouth, and then left her lying helplessly on the bathroom floor of her rented apartment while the thieves absconded with millions of dollars in jewelry," Kim's attorney Andrew Brettler stated in the lawsuit.

"As if that ordeal were not awful enough, Defendants made it worse by publishing on the Website, only hours after the assault, that Kardashian faked the robbery and then committed insurance fraud by filing a false claim with her carrier," he added.

Before filing the lawsuit, Kim's legal team said that they had contacted MTO, demanding the site publish a retraction and apologize. The requests, however, were ignored. Kim is now seeking general, special, punitive and exemplary damages.

Young teenager with rare bent neck gets life-changing surgery

A 13-year-old schoolboy struck with a rare condition which forced him to live with his head hanging to one side has had his life transformed following a major operation.
Mahendra Ahirwar's neck muscles are so weak his head hung at a 180-degree angle, leaving him requiring help to carry out basic day-to-day tasks.

The world was shocked when images of how his condition have an impact on his life emerged.
His story compelled a complete stranger, Julie Jones, from Liverpool, to help raise £12,000 for the operation - and the operation has been a huge success.

His dad Mukesh said: "It's a miracle. He looks great. His neck is straight; and his life is so very different.
"He’s in a good place. It was heart breaking to see him before. We were on the brink of losing him.
"When his neck was bent he was too shy to speak but now he feels like a normal person and we can see his confidence levels growing. He is very happy now."

Before the operation, his mum Sumitra, 36, said that it would be better if her son died should the operation not be a success.
"I can't see Mahendra suffer anymore," she said.
"Watching his life is devastating. He cannot do anything by himself.
"He just sits in a corner of the room all day. It's no life.

"I have to carry him like a baby everywhere, how will I carry him when he grows older? If doctors cannot treat my son it is better that God takes him."

Thanks to the operation being a success, Mahendra can now go to school - alongside his siblings Surendra, 11, and 14-year-old Manisha.

Five men who robbed Kim Kardashian in Paris reportedly attempted to fool cops with a decoy escape. A Paris police official reveals to Us Weekly that in order to make themselves look like amateurs, one of the thieves pretended to fall off his bicycle while another purposely dropped a piece of jewelry as they left the reality TV star's apartment on early Monday morning, October 3.

"They wanted us to believe that they were amateurs, but all the real clues point to them being extremely sophisticated professionals," the police official says. "There is no way a gang like this would drop stuff and fall off bicycles - all that was done for any cameras that might be in the area."

"It is far more likely that they played around on bikes for a few minutes after stealing the jewels, and when they still had their masks on, before they all got into a van and disappeared," the source continued.

The piece of jewelry the thieves intentionally left behind was likely the diamond cross pendant which TMZ said was discovered by a pedestrian outside Kim's apartment building. Local cops were reportedly checking the recovered $33,000 pendant from Jacob and Co. for any traces of DNA.

As previously reported, Kim lost about 13 items in the robbery, including a $4 million ring from husband Kanye West. The new Us Weekly report also mentions that the No Address Hotel where the 35-year-old star's apartment unit was located in had no internal closed-circuit television cameras because "the status of celebrity and other multi-millionaire guests who do not want to be filmed under any circumstances."
