Fourth of July: Kaley Cuoco issues apology for posting photo of her Dogs sitting on American Flag

Kaley Cuoco is apologizing for a controversial photo she posted on Instagram on the Fourth of July. The star of "The Big Bang Theory" was criticized by Internet users for the photo showing her dogs sitting on an American flag.
On Tuesday, July 5, Kaley issued an apology along with a picture of a heart emblazoned with the stars and stripes. "I would like to comment on a photo I posted yesterday, that has caused lots of controversy," she wrote, "First off, please know, I have the utmost respect for my country. I am a proud American in every sense of the word. I understand the American flag stands for our freedom and represents American heroes , past and present."
She reflected, "Yesterday I made a mistake by posting the picture that was taken of my sweet dogs posing on an American flag. I sincerely apologize to anyone that has been offended by my previous post. This is no way reflects my feelings toward what the American flag represents. Living in the public eye, can be extremely difficult at times. Every mistake and every imperfection is amplified. I am not perfect. I am a proud American, today, tomorrow, always."

Kaley previously shared a photo of her three dogs at a pet sitting place. Two of her three dogs were seen resting on the American flag. "Thank you @the__pet__handler for taking care of the squad while I'm out of town," she captioned it, "4th of July pups!"

One follower commented, "Showing disrespect for the flag, it should never touch the ground, or let your pet stand on it!" A second follower wrote, "Shame on you, Kaley. You lost a fan." Another fan defended Kaley, sharing, "Maybe she didn't know that it was a real flag after all she is out of town." The picture has since been deleted.
On the Fourth of July, Kaley also shared a photo with her boyfriend Karl Cook.
