The 18-year-old midfielder posted photos online of him with Arsene Wenger and Laurent Koscielny, as well as him holding up his new shirt.
He stated that his “new life begins” at Arsenal.
Nwakali is understood to have signed for a £3million fee agreed with the country’s Diamond Football Academy.
He was player of the tournament as Nigeria lifted the Under-17 World Cup in Chile last year.
Nwakali had also been chased by Manchester City and Bayern Munich but was determined to work with Arsene Wenger and has signed a five-year deal with the club.
Speaking after signing his contract in March, he said: “I just came back from London, I have signed a five-year contract with Arsenal.
"So many teams were interested in me but it has been my dream at a tender age to play for Arsenal.”
