The title for upcoming "Terminator" reboot might have been revealed.
According to reliable Production Weekly, the fifth installment of the
cyborg movie franchise to be directed by "Thor: The Dark World" helmer Alan Taylor will be called "Terminator: Genesis".
Details of the project are still scarce, but rumor suggests it's
intended to be the first installment of a new trilogy. Laeta Kalogridis,
the "Shutter Island" screenwriter and "Avatar" executive producer, is penning the script with "Dracula 2000" director/writer Patrick Lussier. Arnold Schwarzenegger is expected to return for the reboot. Emilia Clarke ("Game of Thrones") and Brie Larson ("21 Jump Street") are reportedly on the short list to play Sarah Connor played by Linda Hamilton in the classic movies directed by James Cameron.
Tom Hardy is rumored being considered to take on the role of John Connor previously portrayed by Christian Bale in 2009's "Terminator Salvation". Garrett Hedlund, Taylor Kitsch and Nicholas Hoult are reportedly a contender to play the young Kyle Reese, who will father John.
The film is expected to start production early next year for July 1, 2015 release.
