"Iron Man 3" is the biggest moneymaker in movie industry. As 2013 is coming to an end, the Robert Downey Jr.-starring Marvel superhero movie tops the highest-selling films of the year with an estimated worldwide gross of $1,215.4 million, according to Box Office Mojo.
3D animated film "Despicable Me 2" voiced by Steve Carell takes the second spot with approximately $918.5 million in global haul. Vin Diesel and Paul Walker pairing in action flick "Fast and Furious 6" follows with $788.7 million.
Jennifer Lawrence starrer "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" sits at No. 4 with $765.3 million. Disney's animation "Monsters University" trails closely behind with $743.6 million and Henry Cavill's Superman movie "Man of Steel" with $662.8 million.
