North Korea sentences pastor to hard labour for life over religious plot to overthrow the ruler

A pastor has been jailed for life with hard labour for allegedly plotting to overthrow North Korean tyrant Kim Jong-un .

Hyeon Soo Lim, 60, also admitted wanting to set up a religious state in a televised confession similar to others involving missionaries.

Mr Lim, a Canadian, born in South Korea and based in Toronto, was arrested in Pyongyang in January as he arrived to carry out humanitarian work.

He now faces the nightmare of spending the rest of his life behind bars for committing ‘crimes’ to overthrow dictator Kim, and undermine his Government..

His family said he had visited North Korea for 20 years and was on a mission to help a nursing home, nursery and orphanage.

Mr Lim was shown at a news conference after apparently ‘confessing’ to a plot to set up a religious state.

Mr Lim, who cut a sorry figure as he was paraded before the cameras, was sentenced after a 90-minute trial at the North Korean Supreme Court.

He was convicted of joining the US and South Korea in an anti-North Korea human rights “racket” and fabricating and circulating false propaganda designed to tarnish the country’s image.

He was accused of funding and helping “defectors” to escape, in some cases through Mongolia. The pastor entered and left the court in handcuffs flanked by two state security officers in uniform.

Head bowed, he answered questions put to him in court in a subdued tone.

Kylie Jenner fans angered as lipkits aren't delivered

She sent fans into a frenzy when Kylie Jenner launched her lip kit, as it sold out within seconds, but fans have become frustrated as they claim that they haven’t received the goods despite handing over the cash.

Kylie, 18, teamed with C&S Whole – who was responsible for the distribution of the highly-anticipated make-up line, but has now been inundated with complaints after frustrated fans get angry that their products haven’t been delivered.

Despite having the confirmation and tracking details, fans were upset that their goods were still to come.

Some fans also have been voicing their upset on social media, claiming that their products have been going to the wrong addresses with the $29 kits.

A note on Kylie’s website for the lip kit read: “The processing time for orders is 36-48 hours. After that, delivery time within the United States is 3 – 6 business days, and 10 – 15 business days for international orders.

“Please keep in mind that during the holidays this time frame may vary.”

One upset customer reached out on Twitter to see if she was the only one affected, as she said: "Got a tracking letter in the mail saying my #KylieLipKit was delivered to the wrong address&returned to CA??Did this happen to anyone else??"

While another fumed: "yo where TF is the lipstick I bought from ur lipkit shit, I've been waiting two weeks"

Isue with Hoverboard Catching Fire

"Hoverboards," those ubiquitous, futuristic two-wheeled machines that don't actually hover, have been pulled and banned by an increasing number of retailers, cities and airlines. Why? Probably the growing safety concerns following a wave of recent media showing hoverboards exploding.

The production of hoverboards — once deemed the hottest gift of the year by USA Today — has been difficult to regulate, prompting the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission to further investigate them.

"The hoverboard does not fall into categories where there are regulations," said president of Safety Research and Strategies, Inc., Sean Kane, according to Business Insider. "The safety and fitness of them is really unknown." 

Since September, about 20 people have been hospitalized from hoverboard-related incidents, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. What often happens is sudden combustion without explanation. A November explosion in Louisiana involved a 12-year-old boy and his "Fit Turbo" board, bought from Amazon; the accident set his entire home on fire, according to WGNO. Similar cases have occurred in malls and homes across the nation.

Online retailer Overstock announced its pulling of hoverboard-like products from its digital shelves on Dec. 9, offering refunds to those who have already purchased one. 

Hoverboards should be powered by lithium-ion batteries, but many have been found to include counterfeits, ABC13 reported. Inspectors in the U.K., where hoverboards are already illegal, examined 17,000 mostly Chinese-made hoverboards and confiscated 88% of them, citing "noncompliant plugs without fuses" that can cause dangerous overheating, according to the Verge. 

Chinese manufacturers have been racing to produce knockoff versions of the popular toy for Western consumers, BuzzFeed reported.

The Indian man born with 2 excess legs on his back

An Indian man who was born with four legs has become an outcast after villagers labelled him a devil.

Arun Rajput has had the two extra limbs - believed to be from an undeveloped parasitic twin - dangling from his back since birth.

But the 20-year-old says he has been forced to live the life of a recluse by those in the remote village of Farrukhabad in Uttar Pradesh, northern India.

Rajput said: "People laugh at me. They say I am a devil. No one respects me here because I look different. But I want to be like one of them. I want to work like other man."

The unusual defect has seen Rajput face jibes and name calling while growing up and many locals said his family was cursed.

His extra limbs mean he cannot sit properly, walking has become uncomfortable and he has to have tailor made trousers developed.

But the young man says he does not want to be treated any differently from others.

"I want to do normal things and be treated like a normal person," he said.

Nicki Minaj's 37-year-old brother charged with raping 12-year-old child

Nicki Minaj's older brother is facing serious criminal charges. According to a scoop from Newsday, Jelani Maraj was arraigned on Thursday, December 3 on a first-degree rape charge and first-degree course of sexual conduct against a child.

Details of the incident are kept under wraps, but the alleged victim is reportedly 12 years old. Jelani was charged on Long Island but has since been released from a Nassau County jail on $100,000 bail. He is due to return to court on December 9.

Taylor Swift's Upcoming Music Video Already Causes Controversy

A few days ago, it's reported that Taylor Swift would release "Out of the Woods" as her next single and she'd shot its music video in New Zealand. Instead of filming it in a forest, the singer and her crew were seen on Auckland's Bethell's Beach on Monday, November 23, and some conservationists as well as beachgoers weren't happy about it.

According to Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development (ATEED), Swift was given permission to film on the Beach on Monday from 9 A.M. to 7 P.M. She was allowed to bring only two vehicles to the area, but a dozen of trucks were spotted on the sand that day. With so many people involved in the filming, locals were afraid the activity would affect the endangered baby dotterel birds which nest at the beach.

Waitakere Ranges Local Board chair Sandra Coney expressed her concern in a statement she posted on Facebook. "Taylor Swift filming at Bethells this week. Permission was given for I think 2 vehicles, instead there were about a dozen. Parks not happy at all," she wrote

"We are trying to minimise vehicles on beaches for good reasons but at Bethells there are baby dotterels. We have developed a dotterel management plan as there is a heap of filming out there, and we welcome it as economic activity that should leave no footprint, but Taylor's lot did not respect the environment or the conditions of their consent," she added.

Responding to the news, ATEED said they couldn't punish production companies that breached their permits, but it didn't mean they would just "shake it off." A spokesman stated that ATEED would "work with companies to either stop the breach occurring any further, or ensure production companies are more closely managed in future."

She is saddened by recent tabloid media reports which are full of erroneous speculation and inaccuracies that are hurtful to three innocent young girls."

The statement continued, "While the adoption by Malaak is not yet finalized, it is actively in process under the rigorous guidelines and safeguards of international adoption policy. The child is in the country lawfully with the written consent of her birth parents, and while here, has been cherished and adored by the entire Rock family."

Meanwhile, an insider told the news outlet that "Chris has two children, and has always had only two children. He has never adopted a child. He maintains an extremely close and loving relationship with his daughters."
