Rihanna cancels Nice Concert in the wake of Bastille truck attack

Rihanna has canceled her scheduled concert at the Allianz Stadium in Nice, France in the wake of the truck attack during Bastille Day fireworks on late Thursday, July 14. The show, which was part of her "Anti World Tour", was originally set for Friday. The president of Nice, Christian Estrosi, announced on Twitter the cancellations of RiRi's show as well as other social events that were planned to take place in the city on Friday. He wrote, "Tomorrow the flags of the city will be at half mast. After the cancellation of the Rihanna concert, jazz festival is canceled." The singer herself was in the city when the terror attack occurred, but her rep has confirmed that "she is safe. She is ok." She later took to Instagram to express her sympathy for the victims' families.

Due to the tragic events in #Nice, my concert scheduled for tomorrow July 15 at Allianz Stadium will not be going ahead as planned. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families 😢
