With one episode left in season 6, it's been reported that five of the major characters have been given pay rises as they sign up for season seven and are expected to stay on for eight.
According to Deadline Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) will all earn over $500,000 an episode for next year's season.
The report does state though that this doesn't guarantee they'll survive, but it's a good indication these major characters will all still be around, as other regulars haven't yet been resigned.
Notably, it doesn't include Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) or Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) - does this mean more bad news for the Stark family?
As ever HBO are being very secretive about what fans can expect from season 7, but it has already been confirmed it will be shorter, possibly seven episodes.
Season 8 could have even fewer, with the entire show wrapped up in just six hour-long episodes.
The penultimate episode of series six - The Battle Of The Bastards - has been hailed as the best ever episode of the fantasy drama with Sansa Stark taking centre stage as she battled with husband Ramsay Bolton for control of her childhood home Winterfell.
