Jay-Z top the list for Nominations for 2014 Grammy Awards

The full nominations of the 2014 Grammy Awards have been announced. Jay-Z leads the pack with 9 nominations in various categories that include Best Rap Performance for his "Tom Ford", Best Rap Album for his chart-topping "Magna Carta... Holy Grail" and Best Rap Song for his collaboration with Justin Timberlake, "Holy Grail".

Meanwhile, Timberlake himself is set to battle against other musicians in 7 categories. He's up for awards like Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for his "Suit & Tie" and Best Pop Solo Performance for "Mirrors". Shockingly, his double album "The 20/20 Experience" and "The 20/20 Experience - 2 of 2" are not nominated for Album of the Year.

Instead, the prestigious category will feature a tough competition among Taylor Swift's "Red", Kendrick Lamar's "Good Kid, M.A.A.D City", Daft Punk's "Random Access Memories", Drake's "Nothing Was the Same", Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' "The Heist" and Sara Bareilles' "The Blessed Unrest".

Swift's "Red" is also vying for Best Country Album award, while none of the album's mega hits like "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and "I Knew You Were Trouble" are nominated. However, the 23-year-old singer scores nominations in Best Country Duo/Group Performance for her collaboration with Keith Urban and Tim McGraw "Highway Don't Care" and Best Country Song for "Begin Again".

Other nominees include Lorde, whose breakthrough single "Royals" is up for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Kacey Musgraves, Ed Sheeran, Robin Thicke, Rihanna, Lana Del Rey and Imagine Dragons.

The 26th Annual Grammy Awards will be aired live from Los Angeles' Staples Center on January 26, 2014. Fans can head to Grammy's official website to find out the full nominations.
