She got the Rihanna look.... related? don't think so

Meet 22-year-old Andele Lara (@andelelara), from Boston, Massachusetts — a student who can’t spend a night out on the town without being mobbed by fans (and drooling men) who keep mistaking her for Rihanna.
Lara told the Daily Mail that as a child she was referred to as the “skinny girl with the big forehead” (I’ve been there girl), but now she’s being paid big money for endorsements, just because she bears resemblances to the Unapologetic singer.
‘After Rihanna was banned from Instagram in April, some of her fans have written to me saying that my profile had replaced hers in their lives,” she said.
“The moment I step out anywhere, everyone starts staring and whispering before I get bombarded by strangers asking to take their photo with me. This happens every day – It doesn’t matter what I do. I can’t go twenty-four hours without hearing Rihanna’s name.”
Unfortunately Lara hasn’t had a chance to meet Rihanna yet, but she sort of had an encounter with the star. When one fan mistakenly posted an Instagram photo of Lara with the caption, “Rare pic of Rihanna,” the pop star saw the photo and wrote back, “OH?!”
Of course this set off a firestorm. Lara gained a ton of new followers, but she was also subjected to some pretty harsh comments which prompted her to make her account private. ‘That was the closest I’d say to her knowing me,” Lara said. “It was a brief moment but the comments and followers on my Instagram that came after that was unbelievable.”

A small town in Ireland where a Goat is been crowned King

To this day, historians dispute the exact origins of Ireland’s centuries-old Puck Fair Festival. Held annually from 10 to 12 August in Killorglin, a small town on the Laune River in southwestern Ireland, the festival is said to date to either the early 1600s, at the end of the Gaelic period, or the early 1650s, when Oliver Cromwell plundered Irish lands during the English Civil War. One of the more popular legends surrounding the festival’s start tells of a lone male goat that broke away from his herd at the foot of the MacGillycuddy Reeks mountain range, alerting the Killorglin villagers about the invading “Roundheads”, supporters of the English Parliament. Records show that the first acknowledgement of the celebrations lies somewhere in between: in 1613, King James I honoured the Killorglin fair in a charter. On the first day of the festivities, aptly named “Gathering Day”, volunteers called “goat catchers” capture a puck – a wild male mountain goat – and bring it back to town. The goat is then placed on a float decorated with purple heather and led into the centre of Killorglin during the Coronation Parade, where he is crowned as king to reign for three days.  After being placed onto a bed of fresh hay, King Puck is hoisted atop the three-tier Town Plaza Stage. Irish dancers, puppet shows and pipe bands occupy the space in front, entertaining the crowd – and his majesty. Before and after the Coronation Parade, the streets of Killorglin erupt with street performers, carnival rides and musical acts. Here, a street performer solicits a volunteer to be a part of his act as the crowd waits for the Coronation Parade to commence. (Jeff Mauritzen/National Geographic Creative)
Killorglin is located in County Kerry, a region with a rich Gaelic ancestry. And with this bountiful heritage comes an enduring love for Kerry music – in essence, traditional Irish folk music, laden with pipes, fiddles and strings – which is played throughout the festival in pubs and on streets. During the day, dancers and musicians entertain crowds near the Town Plaza Stage. At night, the pubs stay open until 3am, overflowing with party goers playing guitars, accordions, fiddles, flutes and bodhrans, one-sided Irish drums. But the open-air concerts that take place every night are the heart of the party. Performances take place on the Stage Truck, which is driven into the town plaza at the end of each day. Pictured here, the Killorglin Pipe Band marches up Lower Bridge Street during the Coronation Parade. (Jeff Mauritzen/National Geographic Creative)
Perhaps the most amusing element of the Coronation Parade is the crowning of King Puck. As tradition commands, “Queen Puck” is given the honour and duty of crowning the king. The queen, a local schoolgirl, is selected by writing the best essay about why she deserves to be queen. This year’s queen was 12-year-old Rebecca Coffey. Here, she and her entourage of ladies-in-waiting wave to onlookers as they arrive for the coronation ceremony. To finalize the coronation and officially kick off the festival, the queen reads the Puck Fair Proclamation in Irish, German and French to the cheering crowd below. (Jeff Mauritzen/National Geographic Creative)
The second day of the festival, “Fair Day”, showcases one event in particular: the Cattle Fair. It takes place after the Horse Show, the first of the festival’s street livestock sales. Like the horse sale – where vendors peddle their harnesses, bridles, headgear, reigns and other horse tack – the cattle fair draws crowds of farmers and spectators to circle around sellers and customers haggling over prices. Local farming families constitute the bulk of the cattle vendors, who bring their pen-held cattle to Langford Street just after 7 am. These days, cattle run more than 600 euros a head – a hefty investment in more ways than one. (Jeff Mauritzen/National Geographic Creative)
12 August, “Scattering Day”, marks the last day of events, and ends with the dethronement of King Puck. A larger-than-life puppet of the king is paraded out of town, and the goat is released back into the Kerry Mountains. For his last moments as king, Puck sits on the same lofty parade float, which travels from the town plaza across the River Laune Bridge and to the fishery, which acts as a border between the town and the mountain range. The goat catchers then lead the puck back home. (Jeff Mauritzen/National Geographic Creative)

Kim Kardashian cancel trip to India due to visa issues

Kim Kardashian is forced to cancel her trip to India due to "visa issues," local media reports. The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star was expected to make an appearance on "Bigg Boss", India's version of "Big Brother", on Saturday, November 29 but she sadly had to ax the plan.

"To all my wonderful fans in India, I'm so disappointed I wasn't able to come to India as planned. When the opportunity presented itself to make the trip, there was a short window to coordinate all of the elements necessary to make it happen. Unfortunately, time ran out so the trip has been canceled. I look forward to rescheduling and meeting everyone soon," she said in an Instagram post on Thursday, November 20.

A source has shared more info in regards to the cancellation. "Kim had to go to Dubai from India, but as per visa rules she had to appear at the consulate office in Mumbai as she was coming from a foreign country and heading to another foreign country," the source told Hindustan Times. "Unfortunately, her schedule is too tight and she would have been left with no time if she had squeezed in a visit to the consulate. She had to therefore cancel her India trip as she had a lot of commitments in Dubai."

Kanye West's significant other has been busy promoting her new fragrance "Fleur Fatale" in Australia and is now already in Dubai. "Words can't describe how grateful I am to be back in Dubai. I love it here so much!" she shared in an Instagram post.

Louis Van Gaal supports Germany in winning Ballon d'Or

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal insists that this year's FIFA Ballon d'Or winner should not be Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo, but should come from the victorious Germany side that won the 2014 World Cup in Brazil this summer.
Ronaldo and Messi are favourites for the prize -- having picked up the last five between them; Messi picking up four and Ronaldo winning in 2013 -- but there are also the likes of Angel Di Maria, James Rodriguez and Gareth Bale to consider.
However, German stars Toni Kroos, Philipp Lahm, Thomas Muller, Manuel Neuer, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Mario Gotze are also all nominated on the 23-man FIFA shortlist, but Van Gaal insists that one should walk away with the prize.
"You always have to win something and the best thing to win is the World Championship," Van Gaal told MUTV. "I hope it shall be a German player because they deserve it.
"In Germany, the level of the matches in the Bundesliga is also very high."

Sir Alex Ferguson claimed he doubted Paul Scholes ability at first sight...I thought: 'too small'

Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has told the Big Issue that he thought Paul Scholes was "too small" to make it as a footballer when he first saw him.
Scholes, who turned 40 on Sunday, went on to win 11 Premier League titles and two Champions League crowns at United, while making 718 appearances for the club -- a total that puts him behind only Ryan Giggs and Sir Bobby Charlton.
But Ferguson, who managed Scholes for 26 years before both retired in 2013, said he initially doubted whether the midfielder had a future in the game.
"I was very aware that the first time I clapped eyes on Paul Scholes, I thought: 'too small.' But that's when nurturing talent comes in," Ferguson said in an interview in this week's edition of the Big Issue, out on Monday. "And you're rewarded hugely. It's a fantastic challenge but I'm speaking mostly about leadership and I'm comfortable doing that."

Nicki Minaj's collaborate with Skylar Grey in song 'Bed of Lies

The full version of Nicki Minaj's collaboration with Skylar Grey has surfaced online. Before hitting the web on Sunday, November 16, the song titled "Bed of Lies" was previewed by the raptress and her collaborator during the 2014 MTV Europe Music Awards on November 9.

The ballad was co-produced by Alex Da Kid and Kane Beatz. It opens with the hook by Grey. Minaj emerges later to blast her ex-boyfriend. "You could never make eye contact/ Everything you got was based off of my contacts," she raps and goes on recalling the dark moments in their relationship.

"Bed of Lies" was written by Grey about a year ago. Minaj then came and added hip-hop flavor to the emotional song. "When I heard that she was taking the song I was surprised because it's not a typical kind of song for her. I was very excited when I heard what she did with it. She seemed to take it to a very personal place," Grey recently told Billboard.

The song will appear on Minaj's "The Pinkprint" album that's due out on December 15. "She kind of poured her heart out on the verses. I personally think as a fan it's a nice contrast to her other singles on the record. You get to see another side of her," Grey added.

Fast and Furious: there will be Fast and Furious 8, 9 & 10

The studio's chairman Donna Langley confirmed that there would be "Fast and Furious 8", "Fast and Furious 9" and "Fast and Furious 10", depending on how the seventh film performs.

"We think there's at least three more," Langley said, adding, "I think it's still a growing franchise. We'll see what happens with 'Furious 7', obviously, but our box office has grown over the past three or four films and internationally, in particular. So we think that there's more to mine there. But we're of course very mindful about fatigue."

The franchise suffered a major blow last year when longtime cast Paul Walker died in a car crash while filming was not yet completed. But Langley is confident the series can move on without him. "Paul is, and always will be, an integral part of the story," she said. "But there are many other great characters, and it's also an opportunity to introduce new characters."

The confirmation came on the heels of the reports that Justin Lin is being lured back to the franchise. Directing four out of seven "Fast and Furious" films, Lin is expected to direct at least one of these future movies and give the franchise a closure.

Boko Haram militants claim Chibok town where more than 200 schoolgirls where kidnapped since April

Boko Haram militants have seized the north-eastern Nigerian town of Chibok, the home of more than 200 schoolgirls the insurgents kidnapped in April, residents who fled have told the BBC.
Militants attacked and took control of the town, in Borno state, on Thursday evening, residents said.
The militants have repeatedly targeted villages around Chibok over recent months.
Boko Haram says it is fighting to create an Islamic state in Nigeria.
A senator for Borno state, Ali Ndume, told the BBC Hausa service that security forces posted in the town ran away when the insurgents attacked.
Residents told the Sahara Reporters news website that the militants headed to the centre of Chibok and declared that they were taking it over as part of their caliphate.
The crisis in Nigeria is deepening every week, but politicians appear more focused on next year's elections, our correspondent says.
Boko Haram has changed tactics in recent months by holding on to territory rather than using hit-and-run attacks that have left thousands dead.

2015 Africa Cup of Nation: Equatorial Guinea to host the Tournament

Equatorial Guinea have been named as the hosts for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, the Confederation of African Football has confirmed.
Caf selected a replacement for Morocco after rejecting their request to delay the 17 January to 8 February finals.
Morocco were concerned over the spread of the outbreak of the Ebola virus.
Caf subsequently expelled Morocco from the relocated tournament, which will now be held in the country which co-hosted with Gabon in 2012.
Equatorial Guinea will now take on sole responsibility for holding the 16-team event.
Caf said the decision was made after a meeting in Malabo on Friday between Equatorial Guinea's president Teodoro Obiang and Caf president Issa Hayatou.
African football's governing body also announced that Equatorial Guinea will play in the tournament - despite the team being disqualified in July for fielding an ineligible player in a preliminary qualifier against Mauritania on 17 May.
Hayatou said in a statement:  "The head of state of Equatorial Guinea agreed to host the competition.
"As a result, the Caf executive committee confirms that the tournament will go ahead and Equatorial Guinea will compete as the host nation.
"Caf wishes to express its sincere thanks to the Equatorial Guinean people, its government and particularly president Obiang."
Matches will be held at four venues in Bata, Ebebiyin, Mongomo and the capital Malabo. In 2012, only Malabo and Bata were used.
The draw for the finals will be in Malabo on 3 December.

Testing an Armored car: CEO of Armored Car Company got behind the wheel while an employee fired an AK-47 at him

An employee of a Texas armored car company got to do just that this week to 'demonstrate that they take client safety seriously'.
And to further that demonstration, the CEO was sitting alone inside the Mercedes-Benz as 12 rounds from an AK-47 rained down upon the SUV.

The shots were fired by the company's sales and export compliance manager, Lawrence Kosub, who seemed very familiar with an assault rifle.
In the driver's seat was Texas Armoring Corporation president R. Trent Kimball.
All of Kosub's shots hit the windscreen and none of them breached it.

'When it comes to assuring our clients' safety, we take product testing extremely seriously,' Kimball says in a video taken of the display.
'Life is valuable - protect it,' Kimball adds at the end.
Kimball does not address whether he is nervous before getting in the vehicle, but he doesn't appear to be.
The company, Texas Armoring Corporation, has supplied protected vehicles to the Pope, celebrities like rapper T.I. and actor Steven Segal and oil executives in West Africa, according to My San Antonio.

Australian protesters bury heads in sand to mock government's attitude on climate change

More than 400 protesters stuck their heads in the sand on Australia’s Bondi Beach on Thursday, mocking the government’s reluctance to put climate change on the agenda of a G20 summit this weekend.
Prime minister Tony Abbott’s perceived failure to address climate change is all the more galling in the wake of an agreement between the United States and China on Wednesday to limit their carbon emissions, they said.
“Obama’s on board, Xi Jinping’s on board, everyone’s on board except one man,” activist Pat Norman, 28, bellowed into a megaphone on the Sydney beach.
“Tony Abbott!” the protesters shouted back.
Parents with babies, school children and working people in business suits dug holes on the beach and stuck their heads in them. The ostrich is said to stick its head in the sand in futile bid to avoid danger.
Ornithologists say the African bird does no such thing but that didn’t spoil the protest.
“Wiggle ya bums if you feel like it,” Norman shouted over the megaphone.
A few athletic types did handstands with their heads in the sand.

Petr Cech depends on Chelsea to decide his future

Petr Cech has said his future at Chelsea "depends entirely upon the club" because he has two years left on his Stamford Bridge contract.
The Czech Republic international goalkeeper has lost his first-team place to Belgium's Thibaut Courtois -- a development that has seen him hint at a move during the transfer window.
But Cech, 32, said he remained committed to the Blues, and would wait and see whether they made any decision on his future.
"Everyone is asking me what if and what will happen," he told Czech news agency CTK in quotes reported by Sky Sports. "As a player who has two years left on his contract, I cannot make the choice.
"It is simple. If the club says: 'You are staying here,' then I will be staying. I can only leave if the club lets me go, and that is not the case.
"As a player with a two-year contract, I have absolutely no chance of influencing the wishes of the club.
"I am doing my best to change the situation. I want to play as often as possible and be prepared to be as good as possible for the fixtures what will come in the new year."

Guinness World Record Day: World tallest Man meet with the planet shortest man

The world's tallest and shortest men met for the first time this morning to commemorate Guinness World Record Day.
Sultan Kösen, who is 8ft 1in. tall, and Chandra Dangi, who measures just 21.5ins., posed for photos outside the Houses of Parliament to mark the book's 60th anniversary.
The two men join hundreds of others who are taking part in a number of record attempts across the world to celebrate the occasion.
The annual broke a record of its own in 2004 when it became the world's best-selling copyright book. Guinness World Record Day was set up to commemorate the date.
Mr Kösen, 31, from Ankara, Turkey, became the world's tallest living man in 2009, when he took the title from 63-year-old Xi Shun, from China, who measured 7 ft 8.95 ins. in 2005.

Mr Kösen, a part-time farmer, was the first man over 8ft to be measured by the company in over 20 years - and one of only 10 people on record to break the height barrier.
Mr Kösen also holds the record for largest hands of a living person, each one measuring 11.22 in from the wrist to the tip of the middle finger.
And he previously held the record for largest feet on a living person, with his left foot measuring 1 ft 2 ins and right foot measuring 1 ft 1.98 ins.
Speaking at the time of his entry into the Guinness World Records, he said: 'I never imagined I would be in the book, I dreamed about it, but it was still a huge surprise'.

Mr Dangi, who lives in the isolated Nepalese village of Reemkholi, some 335miles southwest of Kathmandu, is the shortest adult human to have their height verified by Guinness.
At just 21.5ins, Mr Dangi is the same size as six cans of baked beans stacked on top of each other. He beat the benchmark set by Gul Mohammed, from New Delhi, India, who measured 22.5ins.
Three of his five brothers were less than four feet tall, while his two sisters and two brothers are of average height.

Bruce Jenner could possibly be seeking for a gender change

The former Olympian has previously been alleged to be seeking gender reassignment treatment with a preference to be named 'Brigitte,' and now a new report claims his 'goal is to be a woman'.
Us Weekly recently published a cover story claiming the 65-year-old is finally free to be himself following his split from Kris Jenner.
A source told the publication Bruce's 'goal is to live as a woman and look as much like one' and further claimed he has been 'struggling for a long time with his feelings about being a woman inside'.
The allegation comes after a series of sightings in which the former decathlete appears to be making a transition in his physical appearance.
On his birthday last month Bruce was spotted stealing a solo smoke as he wore bright pink nail polish.
In September he was seen wearing what appeared to be Spanx, a brand of control pants favoured by his step-daughters.
That same month he was also pictured with suspiciously smooth legs, which appeared to have been freshly waxed or shaved.
All of this comes after the star underwent surgery to flatten his Adam's apple, a procedure often undertaken by people seeking gender reassignment.
Amid these changes various speculations have emerged to explain his changing appearance with some believing he is simply trying to recapture his youth with various cosmetic adjustments.
The most popular opinion is the allegation of sexual reassignment and Us Weekly's report furthers that speculation.
One family insider told the publication that media coverage of his appearance 'crushes him' but that he plans on unveiling his gender identification in a format of his choosing.

Bono narrowly escape Plane Accident as Door Falls Off Mid-Air

Bono avoided a plane disaster in a recent flight to Germany. According to Daily Mail, the tailgate of the Learjet 60 D-CGEO carrying the U2 member and his four friends became detached on German coast during a two-hour flight from Dublin, Ireland to Berlin on Wednesday, November 12.

"He was extremely lucky, the plane could have gone down. About an hour into the journey they heard a big thud coming from the rear of the plane," a source close to the singer said. "They were startled for a bit but they continued on and made the descent into Berlin airport. When they landed they were horrified to learn that the compartment at the rear of the plane had completely detached."

"The entire door along with Bono and his companions' luggage had fallen out mid-air. They don't know if the door and the contents landed over water or land but they were extremely lucky. They were at an altitude where anything could have happened and they are all feeling very lucky to be alive," the source continued.

German officials confirmed that Bono's plane suffered in-flight incident, but it was able to make safe landing despite the damage. "To our knowledge, there was no danger of crashing," said Ralf Kunkel, Berlin Schonefeld Airport spokesperson. "The German Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accidents Investigation has begun an investigation into the cause of the incident."

Bono and his bandmates were set to attend Bambi International Music Awards in Berlin. Just hours after the incident, he carried out his schedule, meeting the German minister of economic cooperation and development, Gerd Mueller.
