Janet Jackson is thought to have turned to Islam ahead of the birth of her first baby

The popstar, who is married to Wissam Al Mana , gave birth to son Eissa Al Mana at the age of 50, with her rep saying both mother and baby were doing well.
"Janet Jackson and husband Wissam Al Mana are thrilled to welcome their new son Eissa Al Mana into the world," the spokesperson said.
"Janet had a stress-free, healthy delivery and is resting comfortably."

The name Eissa, pronounced 'Aay-sah', comes from Hebrew and means 'God is salvation'. In Arabic
It's not the first time Janet has invoked religion in her personal life – she often signs off messages to fans with 'Alhamdulillah', which means 'all praise is due to God alone'.
While Janet has yet to publicly confirm her religious views, her latest album, Unbreakable, features far less of the sexual language she used to be known for, which could be an indication of her changing beliefs.
