Hundreds of flashy supercars have descended on London’s streets as their mega-rich Arab owners come to Britain for the summer.
Stunning
vehicles including a chrome Mercedes-Benz McLaren and a silver
Lamborghini Aventador have been parked up outside designer shops in the
capital’s most affluent areas.
The arrival of the shiny fleet has become something of an annual event.
Owners reportedly pay more than £20,000 for their cars to be flown from
the Middle East to Heathrow on a special service offered by Qatar Airways .
During the 3,000-mile flight as many as 31 vehicles can be stored in the cargo hold.
They are then driven from Heathrow to central London where they can be seen parked in rich areas like Knightsbridge and Chelsea.
Last year furious residents complained about supercars revving their
engines and driving disruptively forcing the Royal Borough of Kensington
and Chelsea to introduce a Public Spaces Protection Order in
Knightsbridge.
Motorists are banned from rapidly accelerating, racing, performing stunts, sounding horns or causing obstructions.
