Cristiano Ronaldo continues his injury rehab while on holiday in Ibiza, vowed to return stronger

Cristiano Ronaldo is continuing his rehab while on holiday in Ibiza as he looks to get over his current knee problem.

And while the Portuguese superstar has been stepping up his quest for fitness, he showed that his knee is responding to treatment, as he ditched his knee brace for a swim in the Mediterranean on Tuesday.

Ronaldo chartered a private yacht with friends off the Ibiza coast, having been soaking up the sun during the last week with mum Dolores and son Cristiano Jr.

And the Real Madrid ace looked unworried as he relaxed aboard the yacht - even diving into the ocean, albeit not leaping off his injured left leg.

Ronaldo sent out a video message on Tuesday assuring fans that he will return "even stronger" when he gets back to action. Speaking in Portuguese, Ronaldo said: "Hi guys, I just wanted to send you all a hug, especially to my fans and tell you that everything is fine and that I will come back even stronger. "Thank you for everything. Viva Portugal."
