Lionel Messi was taken off injured after just nine minutes of Barcelona's La Liga clash with Las Palmas.
The Argentine superstar appeared to take a knock to his left knee in the first five minutes against the newly-promoted side.
And
although he returned to the field and attempted to continue, the
28-year-old eventually sank to the floor and sat on the Nou Camp turf,
clearly unhappy.
Messi limped off and straight down the Nou Camp tunnel, with brief
consolation from Barca hero Andres Iniesta, before being replaced by
youngster Munir.
Soon after, Sport confirmed that he was heading to hospital.
