Manchester United have completed the signing of Monaco striker Radamel
Falcao on a one-year loan deal with an option to make the switch
permanent.
News of the Colombian's move to Old Trafford had begun to surface early
on transfer deadline day but it was not until the early hours of Tuesday
morning that the Red Devils announced they had got the deal over the
line.
"Manchester United is delighted to announce that Radamel Falcao has
joined the club on a one-year loan deal from AS Monaco, with an option
to buy at the end of the loan period," read a United statement.
Falcao scored just nine goals in 17 games an injury-shortened 2013-14
season for Monaco. He also sat out the 2014 World Cup for Colombia
because of the injury.
In the two seasons before last with Atletico Madrid, Falcao scored 28 and 24 goals, respectively.
