Collection sale: Paul Walker, shown in 2011 in Italy, was an avid car collector and his estate has put his autos up for sale |
Paul Walker not only starred in the
Fast & Furious street racing films but also was an avid car collector.
The late actor's collection of about
30 cars has been put up for sale in the wake of his death last November in a
car accident.
Walker, 40, died on Thanksgiving
weekend last year while riding in the passenger seat of a 2005 Porsche Carrera
GT driven by his 38-year-old friend Roger Rodas.
Sales of vehicles in Walker's
collection already have started but the actor's estate will not use Walker's
name in connection with it, according to a report on Thursday by TMZ.
Sources said the actor's estate
believed Paul would not want either his name or the circumstances of his
death
to be used to raise the vehicles' prices.
The collection includes BMW, Audi,
Mustang and Porsche automobiles.

Always Evolving Racing that was founded in 2013 by Rodas and Erik Davis
was working with Walker's estate to organise the sale.
All of the vehicle sales will be
conducted through high-end brokers.
Walker wrapped filming in the action
thriller Brick Mansions before his death and it was released on April 25.
He was shooting Fast & Furious 7
at the time of his death and the latest installment in the franchise will be
released on April 10, 2015.
The actor's estate has been valued
between $16 million and $25 million and his 15-year-old daughter Meadow Walker
was named the sole beneficiary, according to court documents.
A Los Angeles Superior Court
commissioner scheduled a hearing for May 28 to help determine who will raise
the teenager following the actor's death.
A coroner's report listed speed as
the lone reason for the crash that killed Rodas and Walker.
