The oldest competitive sprinter is Hidekichi Miyazaki (Japan, b. 22 September 1910), who was 103 years, 15 days old when he competed in the International Gold Masters 2013 in Kyoto, Kyoto, Japan, on 6 October 2013.

Miyazaki competed in the 100 m race, and his completion time was 34.10 seconds.
