Jose Mourinho: Eden Hazard leaving? No way!

Jose Mourinho has said there is “no chance” that Eden Hazard will leave Chelsea for Paris Saint-Germain and refused to be drawn on the latest rumours about Wayne Rooney.

RMC said the Ligue 1 champions have made their interest clear and Le Parisien even reported that Hazard had told one of his Chelsea teammates he is “almost certainly going to join Paris next summer,” but Mourinho has insisted that is not the case.

The Blues manager claimed a combination of both the player’s “crazy” value and the simple fact Chelsea are not interested in selling mean it will not happen.

“I’m not worried because if his value was around 40 million when Chelsea bought him, and two years later he’s twice or three times better than he was when we bought him, I think his value is a crazy value,” he said. “Eden on top of that is not a player Chelsea is interesting in selling anyway. I think no chance that Eden can leave.”

Mourinho, meanwhile, refused to discuss Manchester United striker Rooney following reports in the Daily Telegraph and The Times that Chelsea are planning a summer bid.

“I don't want to speak about it,” Mourinho said of Rooney. “We play United in a few days and I don't think it's nice to speak about a United player.

“You have to ask him, ask the player, and United. They have a contract with the player that doesn't end at end of season. I think you have to speak with David [Moyes] and with them.”

Mourinho -- who denied holding an interest in Inter Milan’s Fredy Guarin or Porto’s Jackson Martinez -- also said that there had been no offers for Juan Mata or Michael Essien.

"No bids, zero bids. Nothing on the table,” he said. “We wouldn't let them go on loan."

He did say, though, that there have been “two different bids” for Belgium international Kevin De Bruyne, who is expected to sign for Wolfsburg for around 17 million pounds.

“He has a chance to go,” he said. “He's a player that Chelsea have had a couple of proposals for. We keep analysing them. One coming to a level where we believe it can be a good situation for the player and also the club. We know he's a fantastic young player with lots of potential. I still say I will be happy to keep him and develop him, but we have to analyse the player's profile and personality.

“Probably, he wants so much to go that maybe it's a good option to let him go in a very good deal for the club financially, because we bought him two years ago for a small fee and now have possibility to sell him for a very positive amount.”
