Rapper Ja Rule Denies Gay Rumours His Wife Started

Hip hop artist Ja Rule has teamed up with his wife Aisha Atkins to defend themselves against a couple of rumors.

 

The rapper and his wife have made it clear that they have not split up and that Ja Rule is not gay.

The rumors starting circulating on the Internet that the couple split because of a speculated romance between Ja Rule and his prison cell mate.

Ja Rule, who rose to the top of the hip-hop charts in the late 90s, has served 23 months of a 28-month sentence in prison for tax evasion and criminal possession of a weapon.

Ja Rule, whose real name is Jeffrey Atkins, was released from prison in early May and served the rest of his time under home confinement.

The rapper and Atkins set the record straight by posting a photo of the two kissing and flipping the bird at whoever started and believed the rumors.

Ja Rule wrote: “Sorry to disappoint all the haters who want the rumors to be true so bad lol. Merry Xmas stupid love Mick&Mai. Lmao.”

Aisha Atkins first started the rumors when she told MTV that her husband was with the man he shared a prison cell with.

She was quoted as saying: “We spent ten-plus years building our marriage but it only took him two to decided he’d rather suck a d*** than be with his wife…He returned home alright – to get his s*** and leave.”

The couple married in 2001 and even Ja Rule has admitted the two have had issues in their marriage.

As far as the gay rumors, they both are now denying, but they also were prompted from Aisha’s own words.
