Brendan Rodgers and estranged wife 'embroiled in dispute over money after marriage breaks down'

Liverpool FC manager Brendan Rodgers and love-split Susan argued over cash in a family court, lawyers said.
A judge was understood to have today made a ruling on the amount of maintenance Mr Rodgers, 42, should pay to Mrs Rodgers, at a hearing in London.
Detail was released by Vardags, the law firm representing Mrs Rodgers.
A spokeswoman for the firm said the Rodgers' relationship had broken down.
She said the couple had been together for more than 20 years and married for more than 10 years.
Lawyer Catherine Thomas added: "Susan is saddened that after a relationship spanning 24 years she had to go to court to secure sufficient maintenance from her husband."
Mr Rodgers, from Carnlough, Co Antrim, has made no comment.

Funeral arrangements for the late B.B. King have been revealed

A public viewing has been scheduled for next Saturday, May 29 at the B.B. King Museum in Indianola beginning from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M. A funeral service is slated to be staged the following day, May 30 at the Bell Grove Missionary Baptist Church from 11 A.M. to 3 P.M.

The 15-time Grammy winner will be buried later that day in a private ceremony at the museum, which King helped develop, with a procession led from the church to the museum set to be kicked off at 4 P.M. Private graveside service for family and friends, meanwhile, will be taking place at 5 P.M. "We feel comfortable knowing his final resting place will receive perpetual care at the museum," Dion Brown, executive director of the museum, said in a statement.

B.B. King passed away peacefully in his sleep at 9:40 P.M. PDT last Thursday, May 14 at his home in Las Vegas. He was 89 years old.

It was previously reported that a public viewing and private service for family members of the late blues musician will be held this coming Friday, May 22 at Palm Mortuary West in Las Vegas. A private funeral will be held the following day, May 23 at 11 A.M. at a larger Palm Mortuary chapel in downtown Las Vegas.

King's body will be then flown on May 27 to Memphis, Tennessee, for a musical tribute scheduled for 11 A.M. that day in W.C. Handy Park on Beale Street. After that, his body will be driven to Indianola, Mississippi, which King considered his hometown.

"Game of Thrones" caused Twitter uproar with the latest twist in the recent episode which saw [SPOILER ALERT!] Sansa marrying Ramsay and being forced to consummate their marriage while Theon/Reek watched. The horrific storyline didn't exist in the books. In the novels, the sadistic Ramsay wed Jeyne Poole, a girl posing as Sansa's sister Arya, instead.

Fans then emailed the books author George R. R. Martin and commented on his website to express their displeasure about the disturbing rape twist. On his official LiveJournal, Martin responded to the criticisms and defended the show.

"The show is the show, the books are the books; two different tellings of the same story," he wrote. He then explained, "There have been differences between the novels and the television show since the first episode of season one. And for just as long, I have been talking about the butterfly effect. Small changes lead to larger changes lead to huge changes."

"HBO is more than forty hours into the impossible and demanding task of adapting my lengthy (extremely) and complex (exceedingly) novels, with their layers of plots and subplots, their twists and contradictions and unreliable narrators, viewpoint shifts and ambiguities, and a cast of characters in the hundreds....Prose and television have different strengths, different weaknesses, different requirements."

He continued defending shorwunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss and co-producer Bryan Cogman, "David and Dan and Bryan and HBO are trying to make the best television series that they can. And over here I am trying to write the best novels that I can." He added, "And yes, more and more, they differ. Two roads diverging in the dark of the woods, I suppose... but all of us are still intending that at the end we will arrive at the same place."

For those who feared that Sansa would suffer from further humiliation like Ramsay's bride did in the books, in which Theon was forced to sexually interact with his bride, Cogman promised it wouldn't happen. "No! Lord no. No-no-no-no-no. No. It's still a shared form of abuse that they have to endure, Sansa and Theon. But it's not the extreme torture and humiliation that scene in the book is," he told EW.

Manchester City and England's Goelie 'Joe Hart' set to wed

England goalie Joe Hart is making a secret move to Italy at the end of the season – for his wedding.

Details of his marriage to fiancee Kimberly Crew are being kept under wraps but the guest list is expected to include some of football’s biggest names.

A source told The Sun: "For so long she trusted him and stuck up for him but now she feels completely let down and betrayed."

The publication also claimed the 29-year-old beauty, who is now dating Hollywood actor Bradley Cooper, received messages from anonymous women saying they had flirted with Cristiano.

Their relationship reportedly came to an end after Irina checked his mobile phone statements and discovered numbers attached to women from across the world.

The source added: "She immediately confronted Cristiano about it, but he initially denied any knowledge.

"After she explained to him what she had found he eventually admitted to messaging the girls.

"She couldn't believe it so immediately got out of the house. She ended the relationship there and then."

At the time news broke of their split in January, Cristiano said: "After dating for five years, my relationship with Irina Shayk has come to an end.

Adidas designed a special edition boots for Steven Gerrard ahead his Anfield farewell

Steven Gerrard will wear brand new boots for the final two games of his Liverpool career - featuring a message of support inside.

Manufacturer Adidas have designed some special edition 'predator instinct' boots to mark the occasion, as he prepares to bid farewell to Anfield later today.

Adidas say the boots represent Gerrard's 'unbreakable bond' with the city.

Inside it says: "You leave a legend, you'll return a hero. The city of Liverpool is always with you. You'll never walk alone."

The Reds legend makes his final appearance in front of the Kop against Crystal Palace this afternoon, before his side travel to Stoke to finish the season next weekend.

Gerrard posted a picture of himself with the boots to his Instagram page, captioning: "It has been a very special privilege to put on my boots and play for @LiverpoolFC. One more time. One last pair of #predatorinstinct #YNWA @adidasUK."

The boots have his initials 'SG' on the heel, with YNWA underneath, referencing the famous Anfield anthem 'You'll Never Walk Alone'.

His children's names are also emblazoned on the side, alongside the number 8, which he has worn with such distinction in a red shirt.

B.B. King Dies at 89 in Las Vegas

Blues Legend B.B. King has died at the age of 89. Citing his attorney Brent Bryson, The Associated Press reports that the blues legend passed away peacefully in his sleep at 9:40 P.M. PDT on Thursday, May 14 at his home in Las Vegas.

King had been in poor health prior to his death, but he continued performing on the stage. Last October, he collapsed during a concert in Chicago and later blamed it on dehydration and exhaustion. He was recently hospitalized for high blood pressure and diabetes.

King was born in Mississippi as Riley B. King on September 16, 1925. Throughout his career, he has recorded more than 50 albums and sold millions of copies of them around the world. He's known for a number of hits like1952's "Three O'Clock Blues", 1970's "The Thrill Is Gone" and 1989's duet with U2 "When Love Comes to Town".

He was inducted into the Blues Foundation Hall of Fame in 1984, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987 and received the Songwriters Hall of Fame Lifetime Achievement Award in 1990. His other achievements include 15 Grammy Awards and honorary doctorates from Yale and Brown.

Gunners to pocket €4million if Barcelona win Champions League due to Thomas Vermaelen deal

Arsenal will reportedly pocket €4million (£2.8m) should Barcelona win the Champions League.

According to Sport, the Gunners inserted a clause in Thomas Vermaelen's contract ensuring they will receive extra payments based on Barca's success - rather than the player.

The Belgian moved to the Nou Camp in a £15million deal last summer, agreeing a five-year deal with the club.

He is yet to play for the Catalan giants competitively in any competitions, but that will not prevent Arsenal receiving a fee.

Kris Jenner Supports Bruce Jenner's Gender Transition

Kris Jenner confirmed that she and her whole extended family were not bothered with Bruce Jenner's transition from a man to a woman. The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star assured that everybody in the family was "super supportive" to him.
While attending Kelly Rutherford's Children's Justice Campaign event in Beverly Hills on Tuesday, May 12, Kris opened up about Bruce's life journey with his new identity in an interview with ET's reporter. "[The] family's doing great, and Bruce is doing great. And everybody's super supportive," Kris said after being asked about how things are going for her family following Bruce's confirmation of his gender transition last month.

Kris insisted that she fully supported Bruce and was even happy with his new life. "I'm really happy for him," she said. Kris also told the reporter that the transformation didn't change anything between her and Bruce. She insisted that her relationship with Bruce was still going well. "We talk all the time. We still work together and he's still the dad of my kids, and we have a really good relationship," Kris added. 

The Kardashians agreed to film all the intimate conversations Bruce had with his family as they discussed his gender transition.

Boy whose neck hangs at 180-degree angle to get surgery

A boy whose head hangs at a 180-degree angle will get life changing treatment thanks to an overwhelming response from donors around the world.

Mahendra Ahirwar, 12, who suffers from a rare condition that makes his neck bend and his head hang from his body, faced a bleak future before his story was publicised last month.

And his desperate parents admitted they would rather he died than continue to suffer.

But Dr Rajagopalan Krishnan, a senior consultant and spinal surgeon, is hopeful he can improve Mahendra’s life - for free.

He said: "I’ve done a preliminary review of the child's clinical status and we now have a working diagnosis and once I have completed a few more studies, I am pretty sure that I can correct his disability by surgery in the not too distant future.

"At the very least, I am certain that I can improve his quality of life and he will be able to look at the world straight rather than upside down.

"I just feel sad that nothing was done for this boy for 12 years of his life."

Dr Krishnan studied in the UK before working for the NHS for 15 years as a consultant orthopedic surgeon.

He returned to India because of the amount of complex cases that very few surgeons bother with in the country, and he now works at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, in New Delhi.
