Is this the End? As the World grips over Asteroid that could wipe out the Earth

The world is currently gripped over concerns that an asteroid is on a collision course with the earth in a massive event that could wipe out all life.

The claims have even forced top scientists at NASA to speak out as thousands fear the 'asteroid apocalypse'.

Conspiracy theorists across the globe are predicting the end of the world could come in just three months time as the cataclysmic climate event is set to destroy civilisation this September, according to end-of-time predictors on various blogs and websites.

According to the Coventry Telegraph , many are suggesting that the end of the world as we know it isn't actually that far away, with the latest in a long line of predicted apocalypses set for 2015.

The Mayan calendar ended in 2012, which triggered plenty of feeling that December 21 of that year would be the end of the world, some twelve years after the Y2K Millennium theory.

So, what's this new one about?

The date most often quoted for the Rapture event in September 24, with others saying a few days either side.

Lady GaGa alongside her singer partner Tony Bennett met Prince Harry prior to their performance at the Royal Albert Hall on Monday night, June 8. GaGa and Bennett were there to perform in support of charity WellChild.

The "G.U.Y" singer looked gorgeous in a sparkling plunging dress. She completed her look with diamonte eyebrows, open-toe sandals and diamond earrings. The 29-year-old singer wasn't hesitant to greet the Prince despite her plunging dress. GaGa looked humble as she introduced herself to the 30-year-old Prince who looked handsome in a navy suit and open-necked white shirt. She said, "Hello Prince Harry, It's nice to meet you, I'm Lady GaGa." 

Prince Harry took time to have a short conversation with the singing duo. He asked how the two could sing together. Bennett replied, "I heard her personally and said we have to get together." GaGa also thanked the prince and gushed over him. "We are so happy to be here tonight and be of any help. We think you are fantastic. And thank you for bringing it here so we can support you." The three took photograph together before the Prince went into the venue.

Later on, the three met again. At that time, GaGa wore a white see-through dress with some lace covering her chest. The "Born This Way" hitmaker was confident to pose for photographs with the Prince in that dress.

Doctors prescribe too many drugs because they are scared of been sued if they advise patients to stop taking them

Professor Simon Maxwell, from the University of Edinburgh, said Britain has reached a ‘tipping point’ where many elderly people are taking five or more drugs – when they often do not need to.

He insisted that life-saving drugs are only a ‘minuscule’ proportion of the vast array of expensive tablets being prescribed, which often carry the risk of side-effects.

And he warned of the ‘subtle’ psychological impact that taking a large array of medicines for years on end can have on elderly patients.

Speaking at the Cheltenham Science Festival, Professor Maxwell explained: ‘It’s easy to think drugs are being given for serious conditions, for an infection that might kill you.

‘But that accounts for a minuscule proportion of prescriptions written. Many prescriptions are produced to reduce the risk of something happening in the future or only give a short-term benefit.’

He said that GPs needed to review their patients’ medications more often, and carry out controlled trials to see what happens when certain drugs are withdrawn.

But he revealed that many medics are reluctant to take patients off their pills in case they are found ‘culpable’.

He added: ‘All members of the medical profession want to do their best for patients and we don’t want to get sued.’ 

Professor Maxwell went on to say: ‘We are at a tipping point, we’ve got so many people on so many medicines, a billion prescriptions in England and Wales each year.

‘The average GP writes 45,000 prescriptions each year. That is a lot of medicines being prescribed by any standards.’ 

One patient he discussed was an 83-year-old woman called Mabel who had been told to take an astonishing 18 different drugs.

And he explained that certain drugs – for example statins – were prescribed to prevent future illnesses, and tended to have only a marginal benefit for the patient. 

But once a patient is prescribed a medicine, he said it is ‘like a train that does not stop’.

Professor Maxwell went on to say: ‘If I get to 95 I don’t want a statin anywhere near me. Are we overmedicated? 

For some patients, yes...there are some patients on more medicines than they clearly wish to be.’

While many patients will feel unqualified to assess the risks of stopping their medicines, Professor Maxwell said he was hopeful that a new generation of patients who are ‘internet savvy’ might be better informed. He also called for more ‘patient advocates’ who could help patients make decisions about their drugs.

Yesterday Dr Angela Coulter, a senior research scientist from the University of Oxford, said: ‘In general in this country there is too much prescribing. 

Are we always well advised by our doctors? Not always.’ She added: ‘One in five people now take five medicines a day. It’s quite easy to start taking pills but stopping is more tricky.’

'Selfish' Book: Kim Kardashian's 'Selfish' Book is disgusting and vile- Tim Gunn

Tim Gunn recently stopped by the office of Us Weekly in New York City to discuss Kim Kardashian's "Selfish" book with the publication. While flipping through the pages of the coffee table book, the "Project Runway" judge clearly appeared to strongly dislike every single thing in the book.

In a video filmed during the interview, Tim is seen reading a caption from one of the photos that reads, "I took a selfie at a red light while driving. I think that's illegal now," which he simply notes, "Well, she's illegal."

The fashion consultant later shares an advice on what people should do with the published collection of Kim's selfies. "Can I just say something?" he says after coming across a picture of Kim sticking out her tongue.

"To all the young people out there in particular, banish this," he adds. "This is disgusting and vile. What if this is the only thing that survives in the time capsule?"

At one point during the interview, Tim mockingly says, "I feel my IQ plummeting," after he finds a snap of Kim wearing a heavy fur coat. The image is accompanied with a message that reads, "I just got this Fendi coat and was in New York. I was in a taxi and took this selfie to send to Kanye to see if he liked my new coat. He did!"
When Tim finds Kim's semi nude photo, his comment starts to be more positive. Although he admits to love curvacious women's bodies, Tim quickly closes the book as he happens to find an image of Kim wearing a see-through top and no bra.

"I have nothing against shapely women. I love them," he says towards the end of the video. "When it comes, though, to...Oh Jesus God Almighty!... Look at this....Now that's not her hand... This is way too much information."

Indian Village where men marry many wives inorder to have constant water supply

In a parched Indian village where there is no running water, men are marrying multiple women so they can fetch it for the family.

For villagers in Denganmal in western India, the only drinking water comes from two wells at the foot of a nearby rocky hill - a spot so crowded that the sweltering walk and wait can take hours.

For Sakharam Bhagat, and for many of his neighbours in the village 85 miles from Mumbai, the answer was a 'water wife'.

Bhagat, 66, now has three wives, two of whom he married solely to ensure his household has enough water to drink and cook with.

'I had to have someone to bring us water, and marrying again was the only option,' said Bhagat, who works as a day labourer on a farm in a nearby village.

'My first wife was busy with the kids. When my second wife fell sick and was unable to fetch water, I married a third.'

Bhagat and his family are suffering the consequences of a critical shortage of safe drinking water in India's villages, as well as the fallout from the most severe drought that his state, Maharashtra, has faced in a decade.

eBay Refuses Woman From Selling Her Plots of Land on The SUN, She's Sueing Them

A Spanish woman has won the right to take online marketplace eBay to court for denying her right to sell plots of land on the Sun.

Maria Angeles Duran won claimed ownership over the star in 2010 and set up an eBay account selling plots on it at the price of €1 (74p) per square metre.

She was inspired to register the fiery star in her name by an American man who had done something similar with the Moon and other planets.

Her plan was to sell off the ‘land’ and then distribute the profits across Spain, while donating 10% to end world hunger, and keeping 10% for herself.

She argued that although the Outer Space Treaty of 1967 prevents governments from laying claim to celestial bodies, it doesn't extend to private individuals.

The entrepreneur started selling bits of the Sun through her eBay account back in 2013. Buyers received a certificate of ownership in return.

Some 600 people ordered plots, but eBay closed the page thinking it was a scam.

This left her with €101 in sellers fees while she was unable to collect the funds paid into her account by customers.

In 2014 she filed a suit for breach of contract, asking for €10,000 in compensation. eBay tried to settle out of court, but now a magistrates court in Madrid has ruled that Angeles Duran can pursue legal action.

The trial will take place in July, according to Spanish newspaper La Voz de Galicia.

Juventus and Italy icon Andrea Pirlo is reportedly set to join Frank Lampard with New York City FC this summer.
According to Spanish daily AS, the veteran playmaker will make his final appearance for the Bianconeri in this weekend's Champions League final, before leaving the Italian champions for a new project.
Pirlo, 36, will walk away from the Turin club after four years with the Old Lady, having won the Serie A title in each of those seasons.
The paper claims Pirlo has "accepted" a proposal from New York, having spoken to the club's CEO Ferran Soriano.
It reckons that although Pirlo has a contract until June 2016 with Juventus, he will exit that deal one year early, to begin a new project in Major League Soccer.

Kim Kardashian ranted on Twitter about made-up rumors saying that her pregnancy was fake. As the 34-year-old reality TV star used some expletives on her tweets, Twitter contacted her to ask whether her Twitter account was hacked.

The tweets obviously didn't show Kim's character who has been well known for her serenity. Just hours after tweeting about her feeling in facing morning sickness, the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star wrote, "Can't wait til my website is active! I'm gonna do live video streaming so every time someone talks s**t I can go blast the f**k outta them."

Kim continued, "Pregnant KiKi does not play!!!! *BLOOP!*." Mrs. West later confirmed that she got fed up with people who spread false rumors about her. One of her followers,@TeamJaaySanchez, tweeted, "@KimKardashian why give anyone that spews negativity the satisfaction? can't wait for your streams!" to which Kim replied, "I just mean rumors or lies. People make up so much even people close who u think are legit. Truth time."

The reality TV star also pointed out one of the false rumors. Commenting on a tweet by user @MyleezaKardash which read, "Kim just announced she's pregnant & Wendy FALSELY reported yesterday that Kim has a surrogate, but is going to use a prosthetic belly. LIES!!!!" she wrote, "Please! This is the type of stuff I will address. If I got a surrogate I would say I did! Thankfully I didn't have 2."

Amid a series of her raging tweets, fan @MolestMeKardash tweeted, "Idk if it's the best thing to do tho. I don't want her to go on wars with these lames :(." North West's mom said that she wouldn't let those people take much of her time as she soon replied, "Trust me I won't give lames the time of day!Don't have that much free time now! Still have about 30 businesses 2run." Following that tweet, Twitter apparently contacted Kim if her Twitter account was hacked. She admitted it on her tweet which read, "Hahahaha Twitter just contacted me to see if I've been hacked LOL #JustPregnantKeeks."

Just shortly after going on Twitter rant, some media made news about it. Apparently, they made up some stories which required Kim to speak up. "Media is lame! Shortly after Kim Kardashian announced her pregnancy in a sneak peek for the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" season 10 finale, fans flooded Twitter to talk about possible names for her second child. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have not had plans to use a surrogate

Kim Kardashian is not going to pursue Surrogate in June despite report saying otherwise. A source close to the family told Gossip Cop that the earlier report wasn't true.

Us Weekly earlier reported that Kim had been undergoing in-vitro fertilization which caused problems with her body. According to the report, the couple was planning to pursue a surrogate in June as they preferred surrogacy to adoption.

The report was very convincing indeed as the "Keeping up with the Kardashians" star also hinted at it. In a recent episode of "KUWTK", the reality TV star spoke on the phone with her husband that she had to undergo surgery to "clear something out of [her] uterus." Kim apparently had fertility problems after giving birth to North West in 2013.

Furthermore, during her appearance on "Today" show last month, Kim opened up that her doctor recommended using a surrogate. Responding to the advice, Kim said, "I would like to hold out a little bit longer, and still try. I still have hope, so I'm just going to keep on trying. Never say never. I mean, we haven't talked about adopting."

It may be true that the two looked at surrogacy options for their second child. However, the report saying that they will start it in June is invalid.
