Vin Diesel Danced to Katy Perry's 'Dark Horse' and Beyonce's 'Drunk in Love'

Vin Diesel Danced to Katy Perry's 'Dark Horse' and Beyonce's 'Drunk in Love'

Vin Diesel showed his fans that he is not only rock hard actor but also hard rocking one. On Tuesday, January 28, the "Fast and Furious" star posted a video of him busting moves to Beyonce Knowles' collaboration with husband Jay-Z, "Drunk in Love", as well as Katy Perry's "Dark Horse".

The black and white video started with Diesel adjusting the camera and him mouthing the lyrics to "Dark Horse" while dancing. He banged his head and stuck his tongue out before telling fans why he was in such a good mood.

"Guys, I'm excited, I'm happy," the actor said. "Universal just called me and said Riddick is number one on the DVD charts. It's a win for all of us. Really really want to thank you so much ...Of course Universal said they want to develop the next one."

Before he launched the Beyonce song, Diesel asked fans, "Did you guys see the Grammys last night? I couldn't go, I had to do work." He then gave away his rendition of the song and even did the "surfboard" dance. The video ended with the words "All love".

Diesel had previously displayed his love of music in a video posted last September when he did a karaoke to Rihanna's single "Stay".

A new trailer for Disney's "Maleficent" has been released during the live telecast of the 56th annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles. It contains some new footage including Angelina Jolie's witch character summoning tree- and grass-like monsters to face off the king's soldiers.

In addition to offering new footage, the trailer features a haunting soundtrack recorded by Lana Del Rey. Rumor has it, the "Summertime Sadness" hitmaker was handpicked by Jolie to sing "Once Upon a Time" from the 1959 original "Sleeping Beauty" film.
The film explores the origins story of the Disney iconic villain from a beautiful, pure-hearted young woman who turns into a cold-stoned sorceress due to a ruthless betrayal. Hell bent on revenge, she places a curse upon the king's newborn daughter.

Helmed by first-timed director Robert Stromberg, the dark fantasy film is slated to hit theaters nationwide on May 30. Elle Fanning stars as Princess Aurora and Brenton Thwaites as her Prince. Other cast members include Sharlto Copley, Juno Temple and Peter Capaldi.

Eden Hazard: I want world best tag

Eden Hazard: I want world best tag

Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard claimed he wants to compete with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo for the tag of the best player in the world.

Hazard has been in sparkling form for Chelsea this season and he has set himself some ambitious targets in an interview published in Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws.

“Of course I want to be the best in the world,” he said during an interview that has been translated in several English newspapers.

“Previously I was more worried about the game itself: football was just a game for me, I wanted to amuse myself and didn’t bother what the people thought about me.

“Since I’m here at Chelsea, I’ve become more aware of my qualities, I guess. Before I knew I was a good player, but not one of the better players in the world.

“Now I realise that I can compete with Messi and Ronaldo in the near future, if I put in some more effort. I don’t know if I will ever reach their level. It’ll be hard, they have incredible stats, but I accept the challenge.”

Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z opened the 2014 Grammy Awards, which is currently being held on Los Angeles' Staples Center. The couple delivered the first live performance of their new collaboration, "Drunk in Love".

Beyonce and her husband managed to steal the spotlight with the steamy performance. The diva, who looked stunning in a sexy one piece, sang the song on a spinning chair before Jay-Z joined her onstage. The two stars then danced together and gave each other a big hug before leaving the stage.
The performance marked Bey and Jay-Z's first time to take the stage at an awards show since 2003, when they appeared together to sing "Crazy in Love" at the MTV VMAs.
Lorde was also among performers who have been enlisted to perform at the Grammys. Making her Grammy debut, the New Zealand native donned a sleeveless white top when treating the crowd with a haunting rendition of her breakthrough single "Royals".

Other artists who have so far taken the stage at the event include Katy Perry who sang her "Dark Horse", Robin Thicke who was joined by Chicago to perform "Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?" and "Saturday in the Park" before singing his own hit "Blurred Lines", and Taylor Swift who played her piano as she performed "All Too Well". More A-list musicians will perform later tonight.

Many Have Died While Building for the World Cup in Qatar

The news: Although the World Cup in Qatar will not take place until 2022, migrant construction workers have already began building its infrastructure. Construction can be a dangerous job, but it’s been so dangerous in Qatar that 185 workers died in 2013 while on this project.

The Guardian reported that the 2013 death toll is expected to rise as new cases come to light. They added that this could end up changing how migrant workers are treated from here on out, putting pressure on both the country as well as FIFA to force meaningful change.

Jay Z and Beyonce Top Billboard's Power 100 List

Jay Z and Beyonce Top Billboard's Power 100 List

Billboard Magazine dubs Jay Z and Beyonce the most powerful couple in music...
Who in the music industry did so better in the last year than this power couple?
Leveraging their star power to release new albums in unprecedented ways—Jay Z through Samsung and Beyoncé through iTunes—they instantly changed how the industry and fans thought about interacting with music. He gave his album away; she charged a premium price for hers. But they both used the element of surprise to restore the excitement that used to accompany a new release, before that impact was dulled by the endless thunder of carefully plotted promotion.
In short, they proved that content truly is king. Or, in this case, king and queen.

Jose Mourinho hits back at Wenger

Jose Mourinho hits back at Wenger

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has potentially reignited an old feud with Arsene Wenger, accusing the Arsenal boss of “always complaining.”

Wenger stated on Thursday that Juan Mata’s imminent move to Manchester United is “not fair” and amounts to Chelsea “playing with the transfer market.”

Mourinho responded, however, by saying such comments are merely in the Frenchman’s “nature”, before claiming it is unfair that the Gunners always receive an easier fixture schedule than his side.

“Wenger complaining is normal because he always does,” Mourinho said. “It's something that we know.

Is this a Joke? North Korea to Land a Man On the Sun.

According to Reddit and Tweaktown, the Korea Central News Agency said the following during a live news broadcast, naming 17-year-old Hung Il Gong as the astronaut:

"We are very delighted to announce a successful mission to put a man on the sun. North Korea has beaten every other country in the world to the sun. Hung Il Gong is a hero and deserves a hero's welcome when he returns home later this evening."

Hung took just four hours to get to the Sun and will only take 18 to return, making this a day trip. When he gets back to North Korea, he will be greeted by his uncle and supreme leader, Kim Jong-un.

Then Hung will be fed to a pack of starving, rabid dogs while Kim laughs and claps, before Dennis Rodman slam dunks his decapitated head through a hoop made of bones.

Chelsea announce Salah agreement

Liverpool have been chasing a deal for the 21-year-old, who can also play in midfield, for several months, but they are set to lose out on the Egypt international.

Wenger: January signings unlikely

Wenger: January signings unlikely
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted he does not expect to make a major signing in this transfer window, after seemingly ruling out a move for Schalke midfielder Julian Draxler.

Wenger has been persistently linked with a move for Draxler in recent weeks, with a deal for the 20-year-old Germany attacking starlet reported to be close in the first two weeks of this transfer window.

However, Wenger was firm in his conviction that Draxler will not be joining Arsenal this month, as the Arsenal boss believes he has the squad depth required to sustain a challenge in three competitions with Nicklas Bendtner now fit to return after his ankle injury.

When asked whether there was any chance of Arsenal signing Draxler, Wenger offered a firm "no", before

Match Burning In Slow Motion Makes For Compelling, Can't-Look-Away Viewing

This is absolutely mesmerizing: Watch a match head, slowed down to 4,000 frames per second, steadily ignite and begin its (super-slow) burn.

The video was created by UltraSlo, a production company that wants "our slow-mo footage to encourage viewers to be aware of the world around them, to enjoy it, protect it and learn from it."

How did they shoot the video? "There was over 2000 [watts] of light within 4 inches (10 CM) of the match with mirrors and reflectors too," UltraSlo writes in the YouTube description.

"What you see in an instant will take quite a while on screen," UltraSlo founder Alan Teitel says in the video.

We like Gizmodo's colorful description of the burning match head looking like "dying alien worlds," but it's actually a chemical reaction:

"The heat generated from the phosphorus is enough to break down potassium chlorate, and in the process, it releases oxygen. This oxygen combines with sulfur, allowing the flame to thrive long enough for us to light a candle or barbecue."

The Pope Sent a Letter to the World's Most Powerful People

The Pope Sent a Letter to the World's Most Powerful People

"I ask you to ensure that humanity is served by wealth and not ruled by it,” the letter read. Francis called for “decisions, mechanisms and processes directed to a better distribution of wealth, the creation of sources of employment and an integral promotion of the poor which goes beyond a simple welfare mentality."

If there’s one surefire way to cause a commotion at the WEF, it’s calling for a redistribution of wealth and a "promotion of the poor" in front of the richest people on Earth.

Of course, this is familiar territory for Francis. Just last month, the pope tackled income inequality — or, as he referred to it, one of the "grave financial and economic crises of our time." And before that,
