Reeva Steenkamp Murder Case: Oscar Pistorius could face less than 15 years jail sentence

Oscar Pistorius could receive less than the minimum 15 year prison sentence for the murder of Reeva Steenkamp, according to legal sources.
Pistorius is due to be sentenced this week for the murder of his girlfriend at his Pretoria home in South Africa three years ago.
The disgraced Paralympian was initially found guilty of culpable homicide after firing four gunshots through the toilet door on Valentine's Day 2013.
At a later hearing, the offence was upgraded to murder at the court of appeals.
A minimum prison sentence handed-down to convicted murderers in South Africa is 15 years, but sources say Pistorius, 29, might avoid serving this minimum stretch due to jail time already served and other mitigating factors.
Speaking to French news agency, AFP , Ulrich Roux explained why he believes Pistorius will not serve the minimum sentence for murder.
He said: "I don't think he will get the 15 years.
"His personal circumstances and the disability will be taken into account. One possibility is that part of the sentence may be suspended."
