Liverpool Striker 'Mario Balotelli' partied at London nightclub after defeat to chelsea

He may be struggling to find the back of the net since his £16million move to Liverpool in the summer, but Mario Balotelli appears to have no problem locating London's nightclubs.
The misfiring striker was spotted partying the night away at celebrity haunt Libertine on Saturday - hours after his team folded in a 2-1 defeat by Premier League table-toppers Chelsea.
In fact, the 24-year-old appeared quite dedicated to soaking up as much of the British capital's night-life as he could, staying at the club until 4:30am.
As he finally made his exit, Mario appeared intent on going incognito, attempting to cover his face with the hood of his velvet black sleeveless top as he walked underneath a large red umbrella.

The flamboyant star dressed in his usual eye-catching style, opting for an all-black ensemble that would have captured attention even if he hadn't been one of the football world's better known faces.
Former Manchester City player Balotelli had his arms on full display, thanks to the fitted top under his black-and-gold outerwear.
He teamed it with a pair of cropped black harem trousers, while he strode along in a pair of metallic hi-tops, giving just as much shine as the selection of gold chains adorning his neck.

While Miley and her friend were laughing in the photo, many of her fans were not amused. They were concerned that the animal was being exposed to potentially harmful chemicals in the nail polish, while some others quickly came to the star's defense.

Brendan Rodgers disappointed with Referee Anthony after penalty snub in Liverpool's defeat to Chelsea

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers was disappointed his side were not given what he described as a "clear penalty" in their 2-1 Premier League defeat against Chelsea at Anfield.
The Reds took a ninth-minute lead through Emre Can's deflected effort before Gary Cahill levelled five minutes later. Diego Costa's 67th-minute strike sealed victory as the Spain international scored his 10th goal in just his 12th game for the Blues.
However, it was the non-award of the penalty by referee Anthony Taylor which was the main talking point, after a shot from Steven Gerrard hit the arm of Cahill in the area late on.
"It was a clear one," Rodgers told BT Sport 1.
"We worked so hard in the game, we need those decisions. It was quite obvious, it hits his hand, it was a clear clear penalty and the referee has a clear view of it. The players gave everything and we deserved at least a point."
It was Liverpool's fifth league defeat of the season.

Speaking to the magazine, the "Anaconda" hitmaker states that she took part in most process of her music production. "People don't know how heavily involved I am in my own career," she says. "I'm on 15 to 25 conference calls every few days strategizing with my team. I think a lot of artists sit back and have it done for them. Sometimes as women in the industry - if you're sexy or like doing sexy things - some people subconsciously negate your brain. They think you're stupid."

In the interview, Minaj recalls a moment during her judge stint on "American Idol". "Once I did 'Idol', a lot of people would come up to me and say, 'Oh, you're smarter than I thought.' What does that mean? Was I making weird faces [that made you think] I was stupid?" she says. "Thank God I did that show. At least I was able to show my true self, speak and have a mind."

Jose Mourinho delighted with Spain omitting Diego Costa from their next squad

Jose Mourinho has confirmed Diego Costa will start against Liverpool, as he thanked the Spanish federation for leaving the striker out of their next squad but insisted he did not ask for it.
Costa's fitness has provoked more discussion than any other issue at Chelsea this season, with Mourinho effectively making public pleas to Spain coach Vicente del Bosque that he allow the striker some rest but stating that he could not directly ask for it.
The Chelsea boss got his wish as Spain left the forward out of the squad to face Belarus in the Euro 2016 qualifiers and Germany in a friendly.
"I'm pleased, but I want to make it clear I did nothing to make it happen," Mourinho said. "He was protected in the Champions League match [away to Maribor] but, because the result was not good, I had to play him for 45 minutes.
"As a consequence of the work we're doing with him, we think he's ready to start tomorrow [against Liverpool] but obviously not to go with the national team. He'll have 15 days finally to rest and work properly, and that's fantastic news for us.
"Obviously, I give thanks for the decision made by the Spanish Football Federation, but I want to make it clear I did nothing to make it happen.
"He is fit to play, yes. Hopefully everything goes well, but yes he starts the game."
Mourinho also outlined Costa's programme for the next 15 days -- a period the manager says the player has needed since arriving at Chelsea to finally solve an ongoing hamstring problem.
"Immediately after the match, he'll have a period of complete rest, no training or treatment, not even another [massage] on his muscle," he said. "Just rest a few days. After that, to continue the specific work he's been doing without having a match to play even the next weekend.
"It's very good news for him and for us, and also for the national team. Normally now he has to go in the right direction. It's good for the Spanish federation to have a 'good' Diego, rather than a 'so-so' Diego."

Cristiano Ronaldo has displaced Lionel Messi to world best- Wayne Rooney

Wayne Rooney believes Cristiano Ronaldo has displaced Lionel Messi to become the finest footballer in the world and backed his former Manchester United teammate to retain the Ballon d'Or.
Ronaldo, who is Portugal's 51-goal record scorer, has struck 274 goals in 262 games for Real Madrid since joining them from United for a then world record fee of 80 million pounds in 2009.
Current Ballon d'Or holder Ronaldo heads a 23-man shortlist for this year's award and has scored 22 goals in 16 games so far this season.
Asked by MUTV if he expected Ronaldo to retain the award, Rooney replied: "I think so. I'm sure it'll be difficult to give it to anyone else."
Rooney said: "He's had an incredible two or three years and I think he has certainly overtaken Lionel Messi now as the best player in the world."

Beyonce Knowles is the highest-paid woman in the music industry in 2014, Forbes says. On a list published by the magazine on Tuesday, November 4, the singer comes at the top slot with estimated earnings of $115 million. That's more than double her earnings last year.

Champions League: Jose Mourinho accuses officials for Chelsea draw with Maribor

Jose Mourinho bemoaned Chelsea's complacency and the officials as his side were made to wait to secure qualification from Champions League Group G after a 1-1 draw at minnows Maribor.
Nemanja Matic's close-range strike salvaged a draw for Chelsea after Agim Ibraimi's goal for Maribor, who were beaten 6-0 at Stamford Bridge two weeks ago.
Eden Hazard had a late penalty saved -- but Mourinho felt Chelsea should already have been in front by then, with substitute Diego Costa having seen a strike ruled out for offside.
"Many times surprises happen when people are not fully focused, when they believe the game can't be a difficult one," Mourinho said. "Only when Maribor scored did the players realise the game was in danger. After that, a fantastic reaction. We deserved to win, clearly.
"We scored two goals, two very good goals. The second goal, the referee [Italian Daniele Orsato] decided to disallow but it's a clear goal.
"Normally we should win because we scored two goals, but we have to accept it. We didn't reach the number of goals that we should have in the second half, but the team played well, and we scored a great second goal.
"And the referee's team did not have a good night."

Lionel Messi equalled Raul's Champions League goal-scoring record

Lionel Messi equalled Raul's Champions League goal-scoring record with the 71st of his career during Barcelona's 2-0 Group F win at Ajax on Wednesday.
Messi entered Barcelona's game against Ajax on 69 goals for his career and headed in his 70th in the 36th minute. Only four of Messi's Champions League goals have come on headers.
He then matched Raul's record with his second goal of the day in the second half after Ajax had gone down to 10 men.
The 27-year-old matched the record in just 90 games. Raul played in 142 Champions League games for Madrid and Schalke between 1995 and 2011.
Cristiano Ronaldo, 29, is also in the race for the record, with the Real Madrid star having scored 70 Champions League goals in 106 appearances in the competition. He failed to score against Liverpool on Tuesday.
Messi played down his achievement, claiming that the win for the team had been his major concern.
The blaugrana talisman told UEFA after the game that he was delighted to have reached the mark, but the most important thing had been getting the win which sends Barca through the last 16 and keeps them just a point behind group leaders Paris Saint-Germain.
"I am happy, the truth is this was not most important today," Messi said. "That was to the get the important three points to try and keep fighting with Paris to win the group. But I am happy to have achieved it."
Asked which was the best of his 71 goals in the competition, Messi said it was difficult to pick one out, but his favourites were probably either of those scored in the 2009 and 2011 finals, both against Manchester United.
"I cannot choose one, but the goals in the finals are the nicest to remember," he said.

World Trade Center reopens for business after 13 years

Thirteen years after the 9/11 terrorist attack, the resurrected World Trade Center is again opening for business - marking an emotional milestone for both New Yorkers and the nation.
Publishing giant Conde Nast will start moving on Monday into One World Trade Center, a 104-story, $3.9 billion skyscraper that dominates the Manhattan skyline. It is America's tallest building.

It's the centerpiece of the 16-acre site where the decimated twin towers once stood and where more than 2,700 people died on September 11, 2001, buried under smoking mounds of fiery debris.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said in a statement today: 'One World Trade Center serves as a symbol of the resilience of the people of New York.
'Today, as we open its doors for the first time, we remember that strength and courage will always conquer weakness and cowardice, and that the American spirit, defended by proud New Yorkers, will not be defeated.

'That lesson and that example live on today as powerful as they were 13 years ago. This is a tremendous day for all New Yorkers, proving once again that the spirit of resurgence and community lives on stronger than ever before.'
A date for an opening ceremony for America's tallest building has yet to be decided, The Wall Street Journal reported today.

Muslim ceremony commemorating the death of the Prophet's grandson

This picture shows the moment a small boy has a gash cut in his head as part of a Muslim Ashura ceremony.
The tradition, which commemorates the death of the Prophet Mohammad's grandson, is seen by some Shi'ite Muslims as away of washing away their sins.
The Day of Ashura is a national holiday in some Muslim countries, with thousands taking part in annual rituals which include people whipping and cutting themselves with chains and knives.
This Shi'ite Muslim child had his head gashed during a procession ahead of Ashura in Mumbai, India, yesterday.
Muslims took part in the event to commemorate Imam Hussein, the grandson of the Prophet Mohammad, who died in battle 1,300 years ago.
Other Shi'ites were seen drenched in blood during the processions in India, Iraq, Lebanon and Afghanistan.
Young children carried large knives through the street and were seen with blood pouring from head wounds.
There were similar scenes in Lahore, Pakistan, where men were seen with open wounds and scars as they lashed each other.

Awaiting Disaster: Ebola crisis over shadow Lassa fever cases

The peak season for Lassa fever in West Africa is about to begin. The viral haemorrhagic fever has been largely forgotten in the Ebola crisis, and health workers are warning that they may not have the resources to deal with the disease if cases increase.
At first sight the symptoms of Lassa are identical to Ebola. There can be bleeding, vomiting and fever. But whereas Ebola is a new outbreak, Lassa is a constant presence. Every year it infects from 300,000 to 500,000 people, killing up to 20,000.
All of the countries worst hit by Ebola are home to Lassa fever. On Friday, Dr Geraldine O'Hara from Doctors Without Borders (MSF) told the BBC that one of her colleagues had died of Lassa despite all efforts to save her.
Nigeria may also be seeing its first outbreak of the season. Only weeks after successfully containing Ebola, Nigerian media have reported an outbreak of Lassa in Oyo State.
There is one main difference between an outbreak of Ebola and Lassa. A Lassa outbreak is caused by rats. The rodents carry the disease into homes and food stores, especially in the dry season running from November to April.
"We have had literally dozens of cases of Lassa fever already in the eastern part of Sierra Leone," said Prof Robert Garry of Tulane University which has researched Lassa in West Africa for a decade.
Once infected, Lassa can spread from person-to-person. Not everyone who catches it becomes seriously ill, but fatality rates have been known to be as high as 70%. It is less easily transmitted than Ebola, but nonetheless patients must still be treated in complete isolation.
The containment of Lassa fever was a major focus in West Africa until Ebola arrived. It was in a Lassa laboratory that Sierra Leone's first Ebola case was identified.
Dr Sheik Umar Khan, head of the Lassa fever programme at Kenema Government Hospital, had spent a decade building a specialised treatment centre. He died of Ebola in September.
"We lost our head physician and six of our nurses and a lab technician," said Dr John Schieffelin from Tulane University, who worked at the hospital.
Kenema's Lassa ward had been overwhelmed with Ebola patients. "It is essentially abandoned except for the Ebola treatment area," said Dr Schieffelin.
The remaining health workers in West Africa are already overstretched with Ebola. As cases of a second haemorrhagic fever begin to rise, some are worried that Lassa may go undiagnosed and untreated.
"Attention has completely shifted now from Lassa to Ebola. There are cases of Lassa fever being actually considered to be Ebola cases in many places," said Prof Christian Happi of Redeemer's University in Nigeria. "In that regard it is a very complicated situation for us, especially in Liberia and in Sierra Leone."
"This is a hidden disaster," said Dr Matthias Borchert in Liberia from the Charite University of Medicine in Berlin and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. "The health system in Liberia has virtually come to a halt for anything but Ebola. Whether it is Lassa, malaria or complicated deliveries - it is difficult to find any treatment."

Lupita Nyong'o grace Glamour's Women of the Year Issue, speaks of her rising to fame

Lupita Nyong'o cover the December cover of Glamour magazine for its annual Women of the Year issue. In an interview with the magazine, the Oscar-winning actress credits Oprah Winfrey as someone whom she looked up to when she was growing up.

The "12 Years a Slave" actress says, "Oprah played a big role in my understanding of what it meant to be female and to really step into your own power. I wouldn't even call her a role model; she was literally a reference point. You have the dictionary, you have the Bible, you have Oprah."

When asked how her life changed after rising to fame, Lupita replies, "This is actually a conversation I look forward to having in 10 years, when all of this is behind me and I have some real perspective on what happened-because right now I'm still adjusting. I guess I feel catapulted into a different place; I have a little whiplash."

She adds, "I did have a dream to be an actress, but I didn't think about being famous. And I haven't yet figured out how to be a celebrity; that's something I'm learning, and I wish there were a course on how to handle it. I have to be aware that my kinesphere may be larger than I want it to be."

Lupita, who reigned PEOPLE's World's Most Beautiful Woman in April, is asked if she was growing up feeling beautiful. She replies, "European standards of beauty are something that plague the entire world-the idea that darker skin is not beautiful, that light skin is the key to success and love. Africa is no exception."

She recalls, "When I was in the second grade, one of my teachers said, 'Where are you going to find a husband? How are you going to find someone darker than you?' I was mortified. I remember seeing a commercial where a woman goes for an interview and doesn't get the job. Then she puts a cream on her face to lighten her skin, and she gets the job!"

"This is the message: that dark skin is unacceptable," she continues, "I definitely wasn't hearing this from my immediate family-my mother never said anything to that effect-but the voices from the television are usually much louder than the voices of your parents."

Lupita's mother was the one who helped her to get over believing it. "I come from a loving, supportive family, and my mother taught me that there are more valuable ways to achieve beauty than just through your external features," she shares, "She was focused on compassion and respect, and those are the things that ended up translating to me as beauty. Beautiful people have many advantages, but so do friendly people.... I think beauty is an expression of love."

Cristiano Ronaldo breaks 79-year record in Madrid 4-0 win over Granada

Cristiano Ronaldo's opener for Real Madrid in the 4-0 defeat of Granada on Saturday saw him break Isidro Langara's 79-year-old record for the most goals scored in the first 10 La Liga games of the season.
Langara set the record in 1935-36 when playing for Real Oviedo after scoring 16 goals in his opening 10 matches of the campaign.
Ronaldo, however, notched his 17th of the season as Madrid secured three points to move top of La Liga, while he reached the target in just nine games, having missed the 4-2 defeat against Real Sociedad in August through injury.
The Portugal captain has not scored as many goals at this stage in La Liga during his last five campaigns at Madrid, having previously managed a best of 11 in 2010-11 and 2012-13.
Ronaldo's strike against Granada was teed up by teammate Karim Benzema, before the former Manchester United man returned the favour, and that turned out to be the 39th and 40th assists between the pair since they started playing together in 2009.
It was the 15th assist that Ronaldo has provided for Benzema, while the France international has proved to be his favoured recipient so far this season with three.
Benzema, meanwhile, has set up 25 goals in total for Ronaldo, with only Mesut Ozil having created more for the forward with 27 during his spell at Madrid.
